I checked the odds from various sportsbooks and Germany doesn't seems to be one of the favorites. Brazil and Argentina are ahead by a big margin and then France is a distant third. Spain is another country that is being regarded as favorites along with England. Another big issue Germany has is the lack of a proper center forward since the likes of Klose and Mario Gomez retired. The Coach has tried to slot in Havertz and Warner to fit in that position but its not working because the team style of play has always been a kind that has towering center forward. Recently I saw Hensi Flick watching most of weder Bremen matches maybe is keenly looking at the possibility of bringing Fulkrug the Bremen strike into the team. Fulkrug is already having a season to remember in German top flight competition and if he can bring that A game to world Cup then Germany might have a solution to one of there problem.

I do not understand your point. There are muslim countries like Saudia Arab and Iran which Play football. Even in other Muslim countries football is being played though they are unable to qualify for the world cup as we know every continent has some quota and only the top teams qualify for the world cup.

There are more countries that have disappointed in the qualification of the groups. Portugal was not good, but in the end they managed to easily qualify for the tournament. I recently read something that Italy might still be allowed to go to the World Cup, because there is a country that could not go to the World Cup due to dipomatic measures. Or because of some kind of danger/protest, but I don't remember which country that is. I think we would all like to see Italy in the final tournament, but they didn't manage to qualify, neither in the group nor in qualifying. I'm sure that coaches will try their best to keep their players focused on the tournament. But the players will surely listen to the news and they will be affected by any bad news. I just hope there won't be a lot of bad things happening around the stadiums when matches will be played. The problem is that when a person is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, he probably won't care about what he read about stuff that are normal elsewhere but forbidden in Qatar. That's where I see the real problem. I just hope that local authorities won't be that strict about visitor's behavior.

I do not understand your point. There are muslim countries like Saudia Arab and Iran which Play football. I guess that @gagux123 probably meant due to the strict rules of conduct, drinking and general behavior of fans. Although Qatar has introduced some concessions on the sale of beer at stadiums, for example, it is generally clear that there will not be such freemen and a carnival as in Brazil.
But Qatar is quite a safe country, which seems to have invested about 100 billion in the holding of this World Cup and not only in stadiums, but also in the general infrastructure(roads, metro station etc) so in this regard, the fans should not have problems.
