It seems that the bookmakers consider Kane and Mbapee to be the favorites. I tend to agree with them. But I am very surprised that Lewandowski is not among the favorites. This is a very short tournament and to become the top scorer it is usually enough to score 5-6 goals and this is easy to do even in the group stage (especially if you have Saudi Arabia in the group).

I think Belgium is pretty much out of the question here. They will qualify for the next round 99% as they are always able to switch gears considering the overall quality of their squad. In most cases Croatia is also going to the next round in this group. Canada has had rather weak performances recently so I don't think they can just change gears and play on a totally different level. That's why it will eventually come down to whether or not Croatia is able to show a realistically positive performance or whether they might have a bad day or be unlucky against Canada. Morocco is a bit unknown to me, but I just noticed they had some strong performances in friendlies against Chile and Paraguay.

I am also quite sure that this will be the last world cup of Cristiano Ronaldo. I mean he is already 37 years old already and i doubt that he will still play with 41 years of age when the next world cup is happening, even though i also don't want to completely rule that out because so far he shows zero signs that he wants to retire soon. He also is a very professional sportsman so even if he is 37 years old he still has the body of an average 32 year old pro football player i would guess so we will see.
Messi is 35 so i also think that there is still a slight chance that he will also play in the next world cup but of course until then anything can happen. One big injury and the career is over.

Messi and Mbappe are my picks based on their league form, as well as how important both of them are to their national teams. Messi is a very talented player with experience who will be able to turn things around for his country, and Mbappe too will be among this world cup's top scorers.

They might disappoint you, because the expectation of these two players by their fans are very high. They might tried their best but their best might not good enough for the fans that is how high expectation always be. Messi is an old story and in this World Cup he will look different from the 2010 World Cup, 2014 and 2018. Of the many stories of Lionel Messi with Argentina in the World Cup tournament, 2014 was his best effort to help Argentina become runner-up.

Mere looking at the countries in group F, there's no single doubt that Belgium and Croatia will qualify in the group but hopefully it's not going to be an easy fight for the both countries. There's still Canada which have quality set of players that are hungered to represent their countries in the world cup. I think it's very possible because these two national teams are the favorites in this World Cup. but it feels like it would be too beautiful if it becomes reality. But I also seem to be a little expecting the same thing about it.

and If you look at Argentina's position in group C, then I think Argentina can qualify from the group stage quite easily. because Poland, Saudi Arabia and Mexico are not too troublesome opponents. but Poland deserves to be reckoned with. because Robert Lewandowski and his friends definitely don't want it to be like in 2018 which could only reach the group phase. so Poland must be working harder.
