Croatia had two goals canceled because of the offside and I think that Dalic should be a little worried because Croatia didn't dominate as it would be expected. Saudi Arabia missed few really good chances and just because of that Croatia won in the end. Interestingly, Luka Modric wasn't in the starting lineup. I guess that Dalic wanted to test how would his team play without their best playmaker.

Ronaldo and Messi gonna perform their best as individuals playing for their country. This is their last world cup, am expecting them to deliver their best for their country cos all eyes and expectations are on them. The chances of Portugal and Argentina meeting each other at the finals is very slim, both countries will play their best but not reach the finals. They might disappoint you, because the expectation of these two players by their fans are very high. They might tried their best but their best might not good enough for the fans that is how high expectation always be. Because  this is their last world cup so they should play and killed themselves, please you people (fans) of these players should do things in a calm way. It is not only Ronaldo and Messi that are in the world cup, other players might perform well more than them. Though they are good players but not all time. England has always had some of the best players in their national team like David Beckham,Wayne Rooney,Michael Owen and others yet they have never won anything big like the World Cup since the 1966 title.Now we are again in such situation with great players like the one you mentioned here yet they missed the last Euro in the final against Italy despite playing well.They need a winning mentality for bigger competitions like the World Cup which seems to be the thing that hinder their performance,they should believe more in themselves,of course without underestimating others but this is the biggest problem they have as a team.

Luka Modric still plays good even though he is 35 years old. He is playing as a playmaker and he is still Croatia's best midfielder. The team doesn't look the same with him in the team or without him.

You mentioning Mandzukic shows that you have no idea about Croatian team. Mandukic stopped playing for Croatian team after they finished at the second place in Russia four years ago.

Yeh absolutely right Argentina has absolute phenomenal young talent in Medfield as well as defense and strike too. These young will make the future bright for Argentina nation team. I hope Messi, he looks so ready to help his country succeed this year for the World Cup. I like to call them the favorites, but I have to admit some of the other favorites like Ronaldo, Neymar and Mbappe really deserve it too. I have a reason why Messi looks good to be my favourite, it's because Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland are behind them in terms of player quality. This is only limited to the group stage.
