While on one side EU are asking Russia to resume gas supply and on other hand they creating hurdles worldwide on such project's which can solve other countries energy crisis.
This summer price of electricity is increased further and we pay almost 20 to 30 percent as electricity bill of our earnings. If Pakistan buy cheap electricity and gas from Iran much of our electricity issues can be resolved.

Hopefully. I don't see any reason for Pakistan to face an energy crisis when their neighbor in the west has the biggest supply of gas and oil in the whole world. All they have to do is to stop letting a foreign country dictate their policies. Although I'm not that familiar with Pakistan politics but it looked like Imran Khan was working towards more independence before he was removed from office in a suspicious way.

I'm hopeful for the future though. A lot of things are changing like the news you shared. So far the Eastern Bloc is working a lot better than before (eg. pre-WW) and based on mutual benefits. Some countries like Turkey that played the middle are screwed but everyone else seems to be finding their sides already.

The original plan (which was suggested two decades ago) was to transfer Iranian gas to India through Pakistan. If this project was implemented, it would have been immensely beneficial for Pakistan, as they will get billions of USD in transit fees in addition to extremely cheap Iranian natural gas. It got stuck after the terrorist incidents in India and as the relations between both the countries got cold. Iranian gas gets wasted (flared) now, as they don't have any pipelines or LNG terminals to export it to other countries.

If the project was implemented, then it could have been beneficial for everyone. Pakistan is thinking that they should not proceed with the project because India will benefit from cheap gas. On the other hand, India thinks that it needs to deprive Pakistan from billions of USD worth of transit fees. And in the end both the countries will suffer from shortage of gas and funds. And Iran becomes the collateral casualty, as they can't export their gas to anyone. Some of the private firms from India were interested, but in the end they decided that the potential risk was too high.

It’s true, I have an old colleague who now resides in Russia for several
years. During the ban and departure of western brands and services,
she told me everything was ok there. Although what we hear and see
on the news is a bit different, they have a somewhat optimistic
approach on adjusting over there. Not everyone agrees on the this
but I was surprise to learn that Russia is prepared, they anticipated
stuff thats going on in regards to the war and it’s continuing aftermath.
Whether we agree with or despise Russia for it’s actions and decisions
towards Ukraine and Europe, it is still undeniable the power and
influence they hold towards the world and economies everywhere.

Imran khan was removed from power just to bring back the pro USA politicians back in power i.e. Shahbaz Sharif and Asif Zardari. The regime change operation was done by Pakistan army. Majority of people here support imran khan and it seems that sooner or later the people will lose temper against these puppets of usa and we have a revolution like we have in Iran. Other then that there is no hope.

If that damn pipeline was completed on time, then we would have been in much better condition. I guess back then no one actually imagined that gas producing countries such as Qatar would resort to blackmail.

Russia is playing with fire.
Stopping the pumping of gas has a cost on the mechanisms that work to pump the gas and on the pipes that transport that gas. It means the gas that is not pumped into the distribution pipelines will be wasted without any benefit. Russia cannot continue to impose these sanctions without having alternatives to using the extracted gas.

I don't know what you are talking about. I am looking at the prices, and I don't see any real decrease in the natural gas prices. Dutch TTF gas is still trading at $2,385 per thousand cubic meter, which is more than 20 times the price we had in 2020. Do you really think that this is cheap? Maybe cheap for Europeans, but definitely not for us Asians. And you can claim that a few days back gas was trading at $3,500-$4,000 per kcu.m, and now it is slightly cheaper. But this will change if Russians stop transporting gas through the Ukraine pipeline.

It is too early to tell who will be victorious in this confrontation. I would still prefer not to call it war. Each side seeks to save its allies, since the two sides of the conflict are not mainly affected in what looks like a proxy war, even though Russia is in direct confrontation.

Pakistan is close not only to Iran, but also to other major gas producing countries (Turkmenistan for example). But any gas pipeline from Central Asia need to run through Afghanistan or Iran, which once again makes that idea unviable. Pakistan shares direct border with Iran, so it would have been an easy choice to get Iranian gas. But again, the Americans will be offended. Qatar obviously is an American ally and therefore it's economic interests need to be taken care of. On top of that, American companies are involved in the Qatari LNG production.

The scene today is very absurd: we have an alliance of Western countries led by America that imposes pressure on all the countries of the opposite alliance, which includes Russia, China and Iran with several allies. Russia confronts them in Ukraine, China through the Taiwan file, and Iran in the nuclear file.
In spite of all the pressures imposed on the Eastern Alliance, the countries most affected by these pressures are the Western countries in place with those sanctions.
America is opening up war fields in more than one direction, and this will not be in its interest or in the interest of any of its allies .
