~~~
If there's the 4th meeting between these 2, GGG might be around 42-43 years old by that time.
OK.. so you are saying that in case Canelo loses this fight, he will wait for another 3 years to face Golovkin again? GGG is 40 years now. If there is a 4th fight, that should happen in 2023. By that time, Golovkin will be 41, and not 43. But it is entirely another story if Canelo avoids fighting him (as happened after the second fight). Anyway, Canelo has other commitments as well. He is planning to take on Bivol sometime soon. It may happen by end of this year, or by Q1 next year, if he scores a KO victory over Golovkin.
Golovkin will really have to go out in full 12 rounds with his guns blazing. He should not give Canelo any breathing room and feel confident in this fight and hopefully he can really win this one.
The last two fights ended in 12 rounds, that's not a problem for GGG IMO.
Though he is older than Canelo but age is just a number I believe, GGG has a good chin, there's no way he will get KO in this fight, I think upset is more possible.
I'm actually still quite doubtful for a boxer who is 40 years old fighting but for GGG this might be one or the exception because indeed as you said he still has a good chin and body resistance in the ring and his brutal fight last April clearly proves that his age is not enough. limit the power of the blow.
This fight is a condition of prestige so I don't think it will be easy to make a decision by favoring one side just because of their age.
It seems like a close match for me considering where they came from their last fight and it's just some kind of common sense where you think they have the same gauge of stats since Canelo also came from a loss so his confidence to win might be questionable when he will face GGG which hasn't been lost since he loses to Canelo in their last fight. Now that they are finally given a chance to prove to the world who is stronger and better, we will gonna see a better version by both of these incredible boxers than in their last fight.
Is Bivol interested in having a rematch with Canelo? After their fight, Bivol told in the interview, that if they meet again, he will ask for a much, much more "interesting" offer. Google say, that Bivol got 2 millions and Canelo 15. I believe their second fight will happen, if their promoters will find a balance between lowering Canelo reward and increasing Bivols. But I think Bivol is more interested in obtaining new titles, than earning.
Exactly, I wouldn't think that it will be a one-sided fight unless one will get hurt and will eventually get KOd and it could be either of them. I like to see GGG still fighting like in the last two fights but I hope he will finally get a win here.
But I think Bivol is more interested in obtaining new titles, than earning.
I find it common for eastern European boxers to seek glory and legacy rather than money. Bivol preferred a unification war against Beterbiev to unify all the 4 belts. The same with Beterbiev, he also wanted to fight Bivol. But Bob Arum said there is no money for this unless DAZN allows ESPN (Top Rank's network) to televise it solely.
Canelo got a rematch clause with Bivol. Although Bivol already said that he will give Canelo the rematch but only at light-heavyweight and not at super-middleweight where Canelo is the undisputed champion. Bivol probably got $2 million as his first payment but it should be around $5 million once PPV buys are all collected. Canelo should earn around $40 to $50 million although I am not sure how Matchroom and DAZN can pay it when reported PPV buys were only 550,000.
Every fight has a rematch clause Cheesy Specially if the fight is very close. Specially in Canelo and GGG rivalry. It will be funny if Bivol would talk the same as Canelo told about second fight against GGG - "I've already won, I have nothing to prove anymore". I see no interest Canelo vs Bivol 2. Their first fight was enough to tell who is better. But as to third fight against GGG, I dont know what Canelo should do next or who should he fight. Cleaning again whole middleweight division is boring, moving up - perhaps is a good idea, moving down - his opponent will be extra fast and pumped Canelo could have more troubles than in LH.
From what I heard, Bivol is yet to receive any money from his fight against Canelo. He was supposed to receive some $5 million (including his share of PPV purchases), but due to the sanctions against Russian sports people, the payment couldn't be processed. And Canelo Alvarez pocketed some $55 million from the fight (including $40 million from PPV sales), despite losing the match. Obviously Bivol doesn't want such a lop-sided distribution for the next match. And I can't blame him. No one would agree to such one-sided deals.
I think Bivol really deserves a better opponent. He has proven a lot in the ring and I think it's time for him to gain more titles. I agree, I don't think his main purpose in fighting focuses on money because I could feel that he's more eager to win more titles. Bivol deserves more than $5 million after their match, to be honest.
It may happen by end of this year, or by Q1 next year, if he scores a KO victory over Golovkin.
I think the timeframe is short if the next fight will be at the end of the year. If Canelo wins against GGG here in their trilogy, the possible date of his next fight will be on 1Q between February and March. That's not even against Dmitry Bivol and I'm sure of it. He's not fully prepared to move up for the third time. I'm sure he will fight 2 times next year before considering taking a rematch on Bivol.
And that's not even sure if Bivol will be interested in the rematch with him.
It's clear that he plans to only fight against a boxer that currently holds a title within his weight class and not just fight a hype fighter and popular name.
I probably will go for Golovkin he has not been dominated or badly hurt by any of his opponents, just recently Canelo was dominated at some point hurt by Bivol he was totally exposed, and once you are exposed your future opponents will look and try to exploit that weakness.
Golovkin has something to look for and work out, Bivol exposed Canelo's weakness, Canelo cannot look for Golovkin's weakness because after their last fight he just gets better, as you can see the way he intimidates Golovkin, he's trying to impose himself for the first time in his opponent.
Nonsense, before Canelo lost against Bivol, he already lost against Mayweather. This mean he already got exposed and GGG should won since he was fought 2 times after Canelo's lost, but why did GGG didn't won? Many people said Canelo is too young to fight Mayweather, but having a win streak for 43 fights and defended his belt for many times aren't that young, everyone should realize Mayweather won over Canelo's prime.
Mayweather won against Canelo since he landed more punch and evade many Canelo's punch.
Bivol won against Canelo since he landed more punch and he protect many Caleno's punch with his both hands.
GGG box style aren't similar like Mayweather and Bivol who have beaten Canelo.
Agreed! Canelo is not that young anymore when he fought Mayweather and it wasn't his 1st time fighting a heavy name that time or 1st time fighting outside Mexico, people should stop patronizing Canelo because he's not really standing where he is now if he didn't got some help with the judges along with some connection he established in the industry.
Canelo was so frustrated on his first loss and that forced him to make a move how to counter if he will encounter a boxer again who have the same style of Mayweather and the popular Philly Shell or known as shoulder roll.
~~~
If there's the 4th meeting between these 2, GGG might be around 42-43 years old by that time.

OK.. so you are saying that in case Canelo loses this fight, he will wait for another 3 years to face Golovkin again? GGG is 40 years now. If there is a 4th fight, that should happen in 2023. By that time, Golovkin will be 41, and not 43. But it is entirely another story if Canelo avoids fighting him (as happened after the second fight). Anyway, Canelo has other commitments as well. He is planning to take on Bivol sometime soon. It may happen by end of this year, or by Q1 next year, if he scores a KO victory over Golovkin.

That was just a wild guess, bro. In the very first place, Canelo didn't even prioritize having a trilogy that's why long talks again might happen. Although that might be changed if GGG will win against him on their 3rd meetup.

If ever Canelo will lose against GGG, I'm sure Canelo will still follow his original roadmap and might take 2-3 fights before considering having the 4th match with GGG. If Canelo will average 1 fight per year, which is just a sample figure since usually, the average is about 2, 2-3 fights might end in 2-3 years and GGG will be around 42-43 years old. Organizing a fight, especially a big one is not that simple to arrange and we should consider that thing as one of the reasons for a long negotiation.

Anyways, this is just speculation. GGG even needs to win first for a possible 4th bout in the future against Canelo.

Is Bivol interested in having a rematch with Canelo? After their fight, Bivol told in the interview, that if they meet again, he will ask for a much, much more "interesting" offer. Google say, that Bivol got 2 millions and Canelo 15. I believe their second fight will happen, if their promoters will find a balance between lowering Canelo reward and increasing Bivols. But I think Bivol is more interested in obtaining new titles, than earning.

From what I heard, Bivol is yet to receive any money from his fight against Canelo. He was supposed to receive some $5 million (including his share of PPV purchases), but due to the sanctions against Russian sports people, the payment couldn't be processed. And Canelo Alvarez pocketed some $55 million from the fight (including $40 million from PPV sales), despite losing the match. Obviously Bivol doesn't want such a lop-sided distribution for the next match. And I can't blame him. No one would agree to such one-sided deals.

Oh I wasn't aware that Bivol hasn't received his prize money, that huge for him though, and it could be his biggest payday to date.

And I agree, Canelo has been talking about his rematch with Bivol already and hopefully Bivol could at least double what he got or more from the first fight since he has won the first one already. Doesn't make sense if he will still received the same amount of money.

Based on his last 7 fights with the exception of his loss against Bivol he wins by knockouts and unanimous decisions he deserves those wins and where he is he is right now, we must give credit to the guy he fights who is holding the title unfortunately he fell short on his quest in the heavyweight division

Boxers are improving, in the case of Canelo first loss against Mayweather serves him well making him improve a lot, and after this second loss I'm sure his trainer Eddy Reynoso will train him to improve on his lapses, but I'm voting for Golovkin he has the momentum coming from a big win against Murata while Canelo from a loss, and that will have an impact on his motivation.

There are additional complications. As I mentioned before, if the fight occurs in the United States, then Bivol won't get a penny from the purse. Forget 10% or 20%. He will end up with 0%, as a result of the sanctions. And Canelo won't agree to a fight outside the United States, because that would mean a drastic reduction in the gate collection. Moving the fight to England, Japan or Germany also doesn't make any sense, because once again Bivol would be left without his prize money. The organizers need to work out a solution.

I'm surprised the majority of the poll participants are actually voting on GGG to win this rematch. There's 70% of them who think that GGG will prevail in this fight. And there's only 26.7% who think that it is going to be Canelo Alvarez who will win this fight. This is the opposite of what the odds are suggesting in betting platforms with Canelo having only 1.20 and Golovkin having a very high one with 4.10. This GGG odds must be very attractive to the majority of those who joined the poll.

I can try you to explain why a lot of people cheer GGG to win, or wish to see Canelo loosing. Imho, because people are fed up with Canelo. Not because he is arrogant or bad boxer, but because they want to see other guy on top. Before fight with Bivol, Canelo won his other opponent in rather easy manner. He was not doing 100% of what he was capable of. People wish to see him loosing and climbing back on top. Like in Rocky, first he was beaten, then he returns stronger. People need more drama, then "another boxer is going to be beaten by Canelo this evening".

I'm actually still quite doubtful for a boxer who is 40 years old fighting but for GGG this might be one or the exception because indeed as you said he still has a good chin and body resistance in the ring and his brutal fight last April clearly proves that his age is not enough. limit the power of the blow.
This fight is a condition of prestige so I don't think it will be easy to make a decision by favoring one side just because of their age.

It seems like a close match for me considering where they came from their last fight and it's just some kind of common sense where you think they have the same gauge of stats since Canelo also came from a loss so his confidence to win might be questionable when he will face GGG which hasn't been lost since he loses to Canelo in their last fight. Now that they are finally given a chance to prove to the world who is stronger and better, we will gonna see a better version by both of these incredible boxers than in their last fight.
I hope this time one of them falls and maybe for greater hope I expect the same GGG performance as the previous fight.
When it comes to fighting it's clear there's going to be some tough competition there regardless of how Canelo evades a few times I'm actually quite optimistic about GGG.
When talking about their previous match even then there was some controversy going on there.

He needs to step up and be more aggressive as he has not won a fight in their previous two fight against each other. In the last fight of GGG, his opponent is not a popular boxer or let's say as good as Canelo, so this time it should be a different approach, an approach that will give him a win.

It doesn't make sense if Canelo will still get that big slice after losing to Bivol.

Though we all can agree that fans will be buying tickets and views from PPV because of him, but Bivol deserves something more,
maybe his camp will ask for 60/40. Fair enough for winning the first fight and since it's Canelo's rematch call, then his camp is the one who needs to adjust with Bivol demands.
