My several weeks of progress got undone by not captaining Salah, I've gotten my captain wrong for the last 3 consecutive game week, but this is the most severe one yet, it wasn't even this bad when I didn't have Haaland and other were milking him.


Anyway we're gradually getting into the FPL phase where the sheep and goat will be separated; the first test would be how to replace Saka, how to approach his replacement; a low budget midfielder and upgrade the frontline, or stick with a premium priced midfielder.

Fucking hell, all picks make sense in retrospective. Too many times that it happened - 10/17 times my picks haven't done a thing in easy fixtures.

Man that is crazy, im in the same wagon in some of the rounds, but not that bad.

In this one i picked Palmer as captain, but i also think we are gonna have a 50/50 distribution between Palmer and Salah as captain, but seems like it was a 80% selecting Salah and killing us.

Only Halaand can take him off default pick, worked very well early into the season where both were firing from all cylinders and dividing the pool for good. If Halaand doesn't pick up along the way we would all rely on making a good captaincy choice between Palmer and Salah to climb ranks.

Saka needs to be protected.

Saka will be out for a very long time until February; I guess Martinelli will take that position as Sterling, who was never useful for us is also injured.

Haaland didn't do anything in last 10GWs and this is the round when finally Salah managed to get top goal scorer of him. Just shows what a monster Haaland is when everything clicks. That being said, Salah has much more routes to points with assists, bonus and even one point for clean sheet.

Now that I am writing this I feel a bit bad that I replaced Saka with cheap option and invested more money upfront. Midfielders where always the best thing for me in FPL.

One of the best ones if you're not aiming to see when Everton game will be. That will be a DGW for Liverpool, but Leicester is so bad recently that triple captain makes sense regardless of the possible DGW.

No body wants to risk anymore with Haaland. Even if he starts scoring something insane i dont think anyone would switch Salah for Haaland. He is just to expensive,i honestly dont know what i can do to catch up everyone has Palmer and Salah and to remove them both from the team would be a big loss on my points

Get different on cheap players, for instance this last round everyone was buying Amad while going for Sarr would net you nice points. I was actually deciding between those two and bought Amad as well for better fixture in this round.

If you had Rogers and Sarr in your team this last GW that is over 20 points swing. It is easy to be smart afterwards and difficult to actually do it, I have also left Rogers on the bench. My point is, don't gamble with premiums, Salah captain is currently a must. Be different on something else.

Well its too much time to waste to get each round a new player and rebuild a team i think we will receive a wild card soon and i dont know if its smart to use it. I know the mistakes i made before so i would know what to do but still thinking if i should risk it and go without salah and palmer or keep them and try and get more powerfull players. Well i tried to captain bruno to surprise everyone but he missed a clear goal and Salah went on fire and lost much points there aswell. So still in the dark

Just saying City and Halaand poor form after a strong start to the season is the only reason why most, if not all, managers have Salah on their squad. We had a Halaand vs Salah team at the start of the season; now we only have the Salah team.

Have no idea who to bring in for Saka at the moment but I'm certainly going to get Isak from Saka's budget.

I’ve been playing without Haaland since GW1 .
I don’t care much about City, but it seems like there’s some internal conflict within the team. Otherwise, I can’t explain why KDB was sitting on the bench when they were losing against Aston Villa. Also, I think it’s too early for Lewis to be a key part of the team. In the few games I’ve watched, he didn’t play well.
I had a solid plan before Saka’s injury, but now I need to reconsider it.

Saka's injury brings up a lot of options for consideration; there's Bruno, there's Sarr for Crystal Palace, and there's Amad for those of you who don't have him yet.

For me it really it wasn't an easy decision at all, I had a lot options or tweaks, for the lack of better words, my main concern wasn't supposed to be Saka, I was quite going to be fine with Rogers and Mbeumo filling that void via rotation while I could deploy that funds further towards my backline and have a 3 standard strikers I wish to ship Joao Pedro out, but I would be needing 3 transfers at least but, I could manage two if I'd just have to suspend the upgrade for either my forward/back line, now since I don't have the luxury of free transfers, I need to either go for either a cheaper, perhaps with more potential points, or a more conversative player for the long run and the ability bank future transfers, my head is quite a mess rn.

You’re leaving Isak out in that pick. I like to believe his on some users watchlist but, it’s got to be picking out the best games. He was out in the beginning of the season but, is clearly picking up the pace as it is and wouldn’t make a bad captaincy choice in selected games. I still couldn’t get over him and my decision to have not take the point hit and get him on my side. Night have lost Rogers maybe but, I still lost him, reserving him on the bench. Would like to see him make up for that in GW18.

I keep thinking that Isak will stop scoring but he keeps on scoring and it is just an insane number of points he keep on bringing in. Man Utd players destroyed me this season,they are just awful and i keep on getting them. Got Bruno and Amad and still im keeping them thinking they are gonna start producing points

Well you can risk 4 points and get Isak but that is only if you want to hurry and get him. I dont have any Arsenal players and i dont know if i should get Havertz but i dont like him but want a good striker. Maybe Jesus will start playing more,still not sure what to do. Jota dosent play all the time so that is a problem with him. Now its a huge question get a liverpool striker or an Arsenals striker

Thinking whether to get Haaland, to drastically improve my defence or simply keep my transfers.

I really like Haaland's run of games, City simply has to start winning again so it's something I'm really considering. Tough to put him in considering that I will captain Salah though.
Defence has been a pain point for everybody this season so I'm actually benefiting from having cheap players there, not sure if it makes sense to invest there.

Keeping status quo? Probably the smartest call, but with WC chip in play again soon I feel like I can risk it a bit.

Who's going with Haaland? He had a total of 0.3 xGI in the last 2 games combined, that's really terrible
15% of the budget for that is really a gamble.
