Anyway since this is going to be the final matchweek, I guess there will be alot of surprises. Teams that havent qualify will go all out so that possibly going to rule out the no goals scenario on most games.

I'm not gonna lie, the new format has made the competition more exciting. I can only imagine how the last game week is going to be intense for teams looking for playoff/outright qualification. I'm here rooting for Man City, I want to see them qualify for the playoff. I want a Pep comeback so bad and was shocked how they throw away the lead against PSG, so unfortunate.

I doubt that they are going to lose against Club Brugge but hey they hold Juventus off, they could do the same to Pep so yeah I'd love to watch Pep's frustation when his team doesnt qualify

I thought it was CL week again, checked Tuesday on Flashscore, no games, OK, apparently I messed something up.
Today I see that all games are played on Wednesday at the same time, which of course makes perfect sense considering that there's only 1 group now.

Still, it will be weird sitting at home on Tuesday evening with nothing to do.

By the way, maybe this question was discussed, but I want to clarify - in Pot B the number of possible picks will not decrease as we get closer to the final? I mean, we have a lot of games and a few options now. Should we increase the number of options as the number of games decreases? So that we can choose a lot of things for the final, including exact score, etc.? In this mode, the fight for prizes would be hot until the last minute of the final (while on SuperBru everything will be clear much earlier).

As the format was new, I did suggest earlier on that when fewer games are played, there will be more markets.

This means there will probably be many more matchdays in Pot B (1 for each leg of the competition from here on, and likely, one for the semis, and final) to avoid last season's complexity of trying to fit everything including unknown opponents into a single matchday.

So yes, there will be fewer games but there will be more markets/options, don't worry. In effect, there should be a more-or-less equal number of options to stake points on. These will likely start to include simple Over/Unders (cards, corners) as these are what most people are familiar with, but I'm thinking of doing goalscorer or exact scores (as you suggest). BC.Game, like any good bookie, typically has all these markets so that's easy.

Damn I didn't know the last game is all on the same day and so soon too. And damn, I don't think I've ever seen this high odds in a Champions league game ever. Kinda just goes to show if you have a huge group like this new format, you will get something so high versus something so low. In fact, if I check on Sportsbet now they don't even offer Bayern Munich market, just DRAW or SLOVAN win.

I'm glad this was already discussed (I don't know why I missed it) and the competition won't suffer from a decrease in the number of games as the playoffs progress. This competition format is really good, I wonder if it will be able to become independent and go beyond the forum (or are there already similar ones?)?

Im currently 6th and technically I dont need to do anything stupid to risk my position but I decided to go ham on the last round of the league phase. For 5% reduction with a chance to close the #1 spot, Im taking it for sure. Its either I get into top 3 atleast or I dont win anything this season. Go big or go home

The attacking line up is not too bad only that the midfield and defense doesn't include of any of the well known midfield options; maybe just Elliot and probably Nyoni. Overall, I'd say the squad is still decent even if we're not looking at spectacular score lines in the game.

I was thinking of betting on Liverpool but now forced to rethink it because Liverpool have very little motivations to win unless Arne slot just wants to beat his former Eredivisie rivals.

Actually I also like it the more and more it happens. And that's me who is bottom of the pile. I know there are similar 'wagering' competitons. You get points according to odds, but either they are using wagering amounts to compete, or they are using simple 'highest' odds wins, but you are allowed to bet 1 cent and then there are people putting 1000s of bets to get highest odds.

But you're right, its a good format and simple enough like prediction, so anyone can do it, but to be able to sniff out the big odds events among many, thats luck and skill mixed in I would say. Or to use a more caution strategy more consistently etc etc

It would be pretty cool to see it get picked up outside the forum, but I don't think buwa wants to lose the forum appeal

I just don't want that for him but anything is possible, there's definitely going to be an upset in todays game. I don't just know if it'll be in the man city game or others but I think we might see some uncommon results. Good thing all the games are being played at the same time, no club get to know if they're qualifying or not for those that their fates hasn't been decided get.

Don't risk it in this types of games, Liverpool got nothing to lose. The players mightn't want to put it all on the pitch and we might even see Liverpool first defeat in the champions league today. I know it looks very unlikely but I won't rule it out. PSV winning puts them in a better position of qualifying and they'll want to try their best to win so anything is possible.
