While most of us are upset on Juventus , can we take some time and appreciate Benfica ? They are on a roll this year in UCL and last night proved us again that they are indeed a better team than Juventus.

With the way Manchester City played against Dortmund yesterday, I thought Man city just didn't want to win that much. They played with a kind of laxity, but it is quite understandable that they qualified despite the draw.  Haarland was marked very carefully and although a penalty was missed, let's hope they make it through to the final rounds were other teams won't be as gentle as Dortmund.

Before the match yesterday, Manchester City was leading their group with good point different, I think last night they played with laxity and was too relaxed in that match. Looking at their fixtures last night from their defence line, they played with more of central defenders and was more conscious of their midfield than attack, they also drop two of their attacking mid fielder , the likes of Kelvin Debruyne and Benado Silver who could have make good different in the match.

With their position in the group I think their game plan was at least to get a draw from that match so that they will maintain their lead in the group and which they achieved in the end of the game.

The defeat in the previous first leg was a lesson for dortmund so that in the second leg you can at least get 1 point at home, previously I thought Dortmund would lose again especially now that Haalaand is on fire in terms of scoring goals, but defense and also good performance from Kobel able to dampen the game from manchester city and force them to play a draw until the game was over, an additional 1 point for dortmund was enough to lock up 1 place in the round of 16 accompanying manchester city who has already qualified as group winners.

Actually, there was a result that suits both teams, although if Mahrez had managed to score a penalty, then City could have won. What a beautiful game that of Benfica yesterday night.I am sorry for Juventus but Benfica this year is in top form both at home in the domestic league and both here at the Champions League.I did not expect anything except  a win from them yesterday night and no that is not because Juventus is suffering and not playing the well both in Serie A and here but because even top teams like PSG could not win in Lisbona and that is a clear indication about the form of Benfica.It is great seeing them passing the group stage and hopefully they go much further.

Real Madrid lost yesterday to Leipzig, the match was incredible, the way Leipzig team played Real Madrid with courage and confidence scoring two goals in the first 18 minutes of the match. This kept Real Madrid unbalanced and is the first team to win them this season This is the second time Leipzig is winning their three straight matches in the group stage.

A brilliant PK by Rodrygo at the 94th minutes which ended the match at 3-2 lost.

There's something to also note about last night's game despite the fact that Maccabi Tell Aviv were mercilessly beaten. The way the Three: Messi, Neymar and Mbappe worked together in sync and all had their names on the score sheet it seems they have settled their differences and decided to work as a team.

 Messi is not someone who is desperate for goals else he would have taken that chance in the 84th min, instead he made it possible for Soler to also be in the score sheet.

You are right, we have to praise them and naturally we have to talk about it (Benfica) because they are winners, and they have played tirelessly, which has made Juventus look like amateurs against them in the Champions League this season by winning the game at the Allianz Stadium and also win at Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Although football games have off days, I don't think Barcelona will beat Bayern Munich today. Graham Potter has done an incredible job in bringing Chelsea's team this far , since his take over as Chelsea's manager he hasn't lost any game so far, has gotten 3 draws and all wining, with this performance what he should do now is focus on how to make Chelsea become a better team than this and not be on pressure playing other games.

Yes, i totally agree with this statement of yours, because to me, there is equally no best way to make Chelsea a better team than what Graham Potter has already started by both winning and drawng all recent matches with no lost. All he needs is just time, as he is barely less than 2months old as the new manager of Chelsea, appointed on 8 September 2022. And it will equally not be fair trying to compare his performance to that of Erik teng hang of Man-U and Pep Guardiola of Man-city who has been manager for quite a long time.

I stand to be corrected but Thomas Tuchel was never a bad manager, if he was given a certain length of time/period he'll turn those games around. But Todd Boehly's decision stand, what can I do ?
Initially was amongst the crowd who underestimated the potentials of Graham Potter, his tactics and everything bout him also handling the Chelsea Job. He used to be a silent tactical tactician who does what he knows best on a low. Good to turnaround as he was able to take Chelsea to the top standing in that group, is there anything better Chelsea fans would ask for ?

He was bad at managing players, he might have been a good coach but immediately he started losing the dressing room, he didn't have the capacity to win it back and this was among the reason for his two recent sack. How can you be losing and yet you're still playing the same players game in, game out. Take a look at Potter, he's winning yet he keeps rotating the squad and that why everybody is happy. With Tuchel he was just playing the same players which resulting to the locker room been divided and players wanted him gone.

Chelsea played well yesterday and deserve their victory, Kai Havertz goal was beautiful but did you see the build up play to that goal? That's what is called football and that's how Brighton played under potter. Chelsea are just getting started and I won't be surprised if Chelsea goes on to win the champions league. I understand we aren't favorite but so are the other times we have won it. We don't have to be favorites to win it again.

one of the matches I'm looking forward to the most is Barcelona vs Bayern. I'm not going to talk about the chances of qualifying for Barcelona. because it's very difficult. I prefer to discuss which team will be seeded in this match. But I have seen the track record of the match between the two. and the result is as we know it. that in the last 5 meetings between Barcelona and Bayern we already know that Bayern have won 5 times in a row against Barcelona. I just wonder why they are upset with Juventus because basically, in terms of calculations, Juventus no longer has a chance to qualify for the round of 16. Also, in their first match when Juventus played at home against Benfica, in fact Benfica can beat Juventus. I can accept such reason by people if tuchel has better history compared with graham but people shall not underestimate graham potter as well. It's already confirmed that chelsea has been going to the last 16. Glad to see this result can be achieved in three wins in a row. It seems the true performance from chelsea is coming back again. We must commend Graham Potter for a remarkable turnaround of Chelsea since he was appointed as their manager, I was initially sceptical about his lack of European competition experience, however he had already proved his critics wrong with three wins and a draw in UCL matches after an initial loss recorded by the club under Thomas Tuchel, it's very obvious that Potter is a good manager having qualify Chelsea to the knockout stages with 10 points as well as topping the group even with a game in hand means he has a lot to offer it's now 9 matches unbeaten.

Real Madrid failed to win their last 2 matches in the Champions League, but it is safe for 1 ticket to qualify for the next round. I don't think Real Madrid should lose to Leipzig today, but Leipzig are really expecting a good result in this match to qualify. On the other hand, it was also disappointing for Manchester City where they only drew in their last two matches in the Champions League. Not exciting but that's how the coach feels when he feels his team is safe to go through.

I think, Real Madrid will definitely use this match to recover their losses they experienced in their past matches that made them to dropped points. I don't think, Leipzig has the strength to defeat Real Madrid in this match, because their strikers are not too strong to have access to Real Madrid goalpost compared to some strong teams Real Madrid has defeated in this UEFA champions league competition. Real Madrid will win Leipzig 2-0 to improve their points and to make people to believe that they are in a solid ground to win this season title and many titles to come.

Real Madrid lost 3-2 against Leipzig. Real Madrid's performance was not bad. They performed similar to the horizon matches and played with similar tactics. Real Madrid's match strategy was the same. However, the performance of Leipzig's players was outstanding. The performance of their attacking players was excellent. So they were able to easily break the strong defense of Real Madrid. and scored three goals. Despite losing this match, Real Madrid is at the top of the table. So, even if they can't score points in this match, the Madrid team is not facing a loss.

for me Bad game and deserved win for Leipzig. The team had left reluctantly and gave the first 20 minutes, no excuses, it was a bad night. The loss was painful but not serious, Real Madrid had to beat Celtic at the Bernabéu and that was it. Real Madrid must learn from all the mistakes made today and move on. Invincibility is good when it lasts

I am amazed to see Club Brugge this season that they can able to clean sheet 4 times in a row and it's good achievement even other big teams such as Bayern or Manchester City cannot to do that and today they will fight against Porto and draw result is enough for them to qualify as group champion and it's not difficult task for them especially they were can able to gets big win from Porto before

On the other hand the match on group D is intesterting to watched especially between Tottenham vs Sporting that whoever the winner of this match probably will qualify and home team is not in the good shape after 2 consecutive lose at their domestic league but i think Tottenham can bounce back from this match but this won't be easy because on the first leg Sporting has humilliated Tottenham with score 2-0 but for today match my prediction Tottenham can take revenge and going to win the match

He quite rightly should be fired already, i mean, the performance from Juventus this season has been absolutely abysmal, they are out of the CL in the group stage and they sit in 8th position in the Seria A table (and no chance of winning it right now with the way they are playing), if all of these aren't enough to cost the manager his job, then i don't know what will. Having said that, it might be a case of no replacement in hand, but there are good managers who are currently jobless, like Tuchel and Pochettino, and quite a lot of good managers wouldn't mind quiting their team to come coach Juve, at the moment Allegri is still in the job, but i don't think it will be for too long again.
