Besides Sir Alex has turned raw talents into superstars while Carlo Ancelotti users an already polished team and let's not even go to how long it has taken the man to beat SAF who retired over a decade ago!

Real Madrid played very well. And it was looking very good. If we take a look on previous performance of Madrid we will look Madrid more better than Cetlic.

Benfica really plays good this season and i honestly didnt see them passing the group but they passed it really easily and they deserved too. I think if they continue to play like this they might reach the semi final of champions league. Porto also plays very good but i see them in the quarters and thats it

I do not deny your opinion indeed Benfica has the potential to do that because a top team like PSG can't beat them at home or away
Currently Benfica has 2 mainstay players in attack as one of the top scorers Gonçalo Ramos and Rafa Silva but the defense is still less effective

Chelsea really deserved the victory from the match, because they used all their potential tactics to secured the two goals not to allow Dinamo Zagreb to equalize the goals till the end of the match. I think, Chelsea coach still need to work on their defense and midfield before their next match because the way other small teams strikers used to have access to Chelsea goalpost these days, showed that their defense is not too strong like last year season. Dinamo Zagreb strikers are very good in this match, for them to first Chelsea to scored goal at 7 minutes before Chelsea equalized the goal and made it 2-1 before the end of the match showed that Dinamo Zagreb really prepared for the match.

Benfica played with the intention of winning the group and the stoppage time goal turned out to be crucial as Benfica and PSG were even on points and head-to-head, and were also tied on goals scored and conceded overall. Whilst the victory for Liverpool didn't ensure that they top the group as they still had to settle for second place, it was a really important win for their morale and confidence, they lost back to back games in the EPL, so a win was very important last night, it would be a morale boost for them as they prepare for their big game in the EPL against Spurs on Sunday, if they had failed to beat Napoli, their confidence would've been at rock bottom.

Having said that, Liverpool now have to wait for the RO16 draw to see if they would face a really big team, this season there are a couple of teams that aren't giant clubs that finished first postion in their respective groups, so Liverpool could still get an easy RO16 game despite finishing second in their group behind Napoli.

That's why all clubs are eyeing to finish in first position, because they want to avoid tough opponents in the round of 16 later.

Benfica has fliped people predictions that when most people predict they will not qualified because in the same group along with Juventus and PSG but they can playing well for whole matches and qualified as group champion and besides that poor performance from Juventus also has help them to finish at first position above PSG but good at group phase don't mean they will be the favourite and their real tested currently has begun that can they beat their opponents at knockout phase or not

In the modern football Portuguese teams don't have any good achievement on champion league unless Porto who has successfully became the champion with Mourinho on 2003 but after that Portuguese teams only stuck at group stages or only achieved quarter final and this season too probably they will have any trouble to faced big teams but they are can be considers as dark horses teams in champion league so most strong teams should be careful for them because probably they will provide unpredictable performance

The performance from chelsea looked good but it's not make me amaze with it and why? there are so many ball possession owned by chelsea, so many shots happened but only a few become on target. Again and again, the execution for the chance to be a goal has become the main problem for chelsea. The same thing is always repeating anytime. Chelsea was not performing so good at the first half of match. I hope that chelsea will find a solution for that.
I will prefer to see chelsea has less shots but all of these shots are on target and some of these shots can be converted into the goals. That will be far better. We do know dinamo zagreb was performing so bad in the group.

Tonight match,  Man City is not playing like the Man City i used to know before, because by i expected Man city to have scored not less than 2 to 3 goals beforerererere the ending of the first match, but seeing this defeat of 0-1 really breaks my heart, and I'm now worried, why must Erling Haaland be on injury. It's not a priority so they reshuffle some players to keep their core players fit and the substitutes get enough time to continue playing.
I personally don't expect much from this game because even if they win or lose it doesn't have much of an impact on them so it's clear that Pep knows what he has to prioritize and of course resting the players is the right thing.

I don't think it's surprising that Benfica won the group. Benfica is a big team in Europe, it's just that they're not famous enough, so people think they're a small team.

Surprised by the EPL teams this season where they all qualified for the next phase and 3 of them were group winners and Liverpool entered the runner up pot.
This is in contrast to La Liga now because this is indeed a decline for them considering that now of the 4 La Liga clubs only Madrid are able to advance, the rest are Barcelona, Sevilla must move to the Europa League and Atletico are the clowns in the last position in the group phase.
The German representatives are also quite good because they are the only Leverkusen who cannot follow their country's clubs to qualify for the last 16.

I'm sure most of us are surprised by Benfica's current achievement of qualifying for the round of 16 plus being the group leader.  they really played with hard work, teamwork and finally able to get out of the pessimism that was originally predicted not to qualify for the next round in the UCL. considering that in this group there are SPG and Juventus who are the top teams.


but uniquely, despite having the same points as PSG, goal difference, and an identical record of two meetings, the status of group winners is entitled to be carried by Benfica because they have a better away goal scoring record which is used as the next criterion in determining position in the UCL group stage standings. in this case, Benfica scored nine goals away, while PSG only scored six goals at home. Bencifa is completely beyond my attention in the champions league, but they are able to become and prove worthy to compete in the round of 16 later.

Benfica immediately step on the gas in the final match of the group stage, the struggle of the Benfica players managed to deliver them as group winners. A landslide victory 6-1 over Maccabi Haifa made Benfica qualify for the round of 16 with the status of Group winners, Benfica winning the number of away goals from PSG 9 compared to 6.
PSG had to settle for second place after winning 1-2 at the Allianz Stadium. While Juventus had to go down to the Europa League because they were only able to finish in third place.

I watched the Juventus - PSG match last night. Despite the result, Juve played a good game.

Messi was mostly invisible throughout the match. He was involved in the build-up to the 1st PSG goal, but that was more of a solo effort by Mbappe than anything else. It's unnecessary to comment on Mbappe's performance. The lad is simply unstoppable even for better teams.
Juve created many scoring opportunities. They played bravely, combined well, and had a nice rhythm. They kept attacking and wanted to win the match in the 2nd half. The 1:2 goal is unfortunate and was scored by a fresh player who just came on as a substitute. Cuadrado was tired and should have been substituted if it wasn't for the huge Juventus injury crisis. He wasn't able to cope with Mendes as he attacked the left wing and simply ran passed him.

All in all, had Juve played like that (performance-wise) the whole season, they would have been a contender to reach the knockout stages. Instead, their approach was mostly disgraceful and undeserving of the shirt they wear. The young Italians from yesterday deserve more playing time instead of the foreign mercenaries Juventus usually fields when they are healthy. Those lads couldn't give a fuck what happens to the club or what the result is.
