Group stage matches do not guarantee the remainder of the tournament. Manchester City have actually played quite well in recent seasons, but have also had some bad luck. Last season they actually played really well, but they completely collapsed in the last minutes and seconds of the game. There they had many chances at the 0-2, then the game was over. It must be really frustrating that they haven't won this tournament yet when they always start the tournament as favourites.

I agree with this. Changing Chelsea's condition for the better after being hit by a conflict that is quite branching clearly takes time, especially with the condition of those who have lost several players due to injury is clearly something difficult.

Madrid is something that is difficult to beat even though sometimes they don't play well and are underdogs.

being that they are the type of team that is focused on two things so they need to do good player management and in that issue of player management it weakens them in the champions league, for this season City was even very lucky to find Leipzig as opponent, this can make it easier for City to move on to another phase of the European champions league and who knows if they are luckier they also find a weak opponent that they can beat without having too many difficulties, City this time can be champions, they have good players and luck is on their side, but on the other side there in the premier league they are not at the top, they need to win every game and pray that Arsenal lose points, this could make City have to play in the champions league under pressure due to saving players for premier league

Chelsea performance in this season made people to feel bad about the team because since they sacked Thomas tuchel from Chelsea made some of their potential players to lose focus in their position. People are acting like Chelsea wasn't horrible at the end of Thomas Tuchel era, I understand that we won the champion league with him but what happened a year later, Chelsea got totally humiliated by Real Madrid at their home and couldn't hold a lead we were having that could have taken us to the next stage of the competition and who knows maybe we would had been able to defend the title which is something no premier league side has been able to do. Chelsea picked up form immediately Potter was signed and we are still in the tournament.

Assuming Thomas Tuchel wasn't sacked we would had gone out of the competition by now. Thomas Tuchel was playing a not so interesting football that revolved around passing the ball at the back without having any upfront force to put the goal at the back of the opponent post. With Potter, we're trying to be a little direct and with time we shall perfect that playing strategy and start winning games.

Chelsea were indeed horrible at the beginning of the season with Thomas Tuchel still the manager of the club. Like I always say Tuchel was a good coach, he is experienced and understands the game and the league, too bad the board had short level of tolerance and cut ties with him and brought in Potter as a suitable replacement which was productive at the beginning but seems not to be going smoothly as expected now and I believe Tuchel would have probably figured out the solution by now rather than starting over from the scratch.

To be honest it is a difficult prediction, because both of these teams are not doing well in their respective leagues, like in previous seasons. I really do not anticipate Chelsea having too many problems against Dortmund. That is simply because Chelsea are facing some very difficult teams in the English Premier League. And Chelsea is doing well enough in my opinion.
