Champion league is for only champions. In UCL Real Madrid are very good on it, if they can qualify from round 16 into the semifinals then I have 65% hope that Real Madrid will lift the cup. Leipzig is the only team that have won Madrid since this tournament. It is just as if this league is meant for them. No matter the different players on every season, they will still perform very well in this league. They have won it more than any other club in history. Today's flawless victory shows that they are never tired of scoring.

Bayern Munich can also lift up the trophy because they are in form and are also desperate in winning. As for Man city they lack confidence and luck when playing finals,I just hope this will not repeat itself again,this is the main reason why I can't trust them to win the cup.

Real Madrid are kings in Champions League and their history is also amazing in this historic event which is playing into Europe with their prestigious teams, and they are champions of this for unanimous times even having not big starred in their squad which is another big achievement for them right now in this season they are also good and have good chance for win even it's all too earlier.

Because, now we will be able to have next round after two months and things could be change and injuries and other issues can also play their role in this all but right now in this season we have few other teams as well which are surely looking for good end of this season as their preparation is also at the top.

Manchester City have only played in one Champions League final in their history, they were close to making it two last season before Real Madrid eliminated them in one of football's most cruel games, thus i'd not say they lack luck in finals, i'd rather say they are struggling to break their CL hoodoo, it has lasted too long and i am not even confident of them breaking it this season.

Having said that, we are finally approaching the stage were the tournament gets more interesting, i can't wait for the RO16 draws to see who meets who, i know too many big teams won't face each other in the RO16 stage, but it'd still be interesting to watch, the QF is were the real business begins. I would really love to see Manchester City in the final this season, they deserve to win that trophy that has continued to elude them.

Real Madrid looks very strong to take this year's champion league and if clubs like Liverpool or Manchester City failed to do well in this group stage, that will aid real Madrid to struggle to the top with the way things are going, those clubs are not doing well at group stage presently.

Quite a few goals have already been scored in a few matches. Madrid's big win at home 5-1 over Celtic should come as no surprise to anyone. Chelsea has now come to 2-1 and has therefore done its sporting duty to the other teams. AC Milan is also on the right side of the score, but 1-0 is a minimal lead and opponent Salzburg has enough with a draw to qualify for the next round. I don't dare to put my money on Milan yet, it's not all that convincing what they show. PSG seem to be getting better and better by the week and surely will be the top favorite to win the CL? I think they are also better than City at the moment.

Juventus were finally able to score in the first half to equalise. I think they can beat PSG or at least draw, but not lose. It's probably not as important for PSG as it was for Benfica against Maccabi. PSG and Benfica are easy winners in this group. It's a shame, though, that Juventus were of the same level as Maccabi. They used to play much better.

Yes, they dominated the Champions League but it was difficult for them to get to the final and win the title. Even if at the moment Real Madrid are the only La Liga team left in the Champions League, they are a team that is very likely to be in the final again.

The four English teams that have qualified for the next round of course always dominate the Champions League because at the beginning of the group stage they can overcome that obstacle but in the end towards the last, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals they are difficult to go through but I might know it will be a little different although we always thought Real Madrid was the king of UCL throughout history maybe it will be solved now seeing Manchester city and PSG are always dominated they can reach the final and become champions.
Real Madrid are also in top shape at the moment if they can defend the title so it is certain that Real Madrid are the kings of the UCL.

With the way Real Madrid have been performing this season, I don't think any club can stop Real Madrid from retaining champions league this season, their team is very fantastic, their players are really performing well, they are ready to do play for the club. Real Madrid played a matured ball today against Celtics, they dominated the match and they where able to secure 5 goals today. From my prediction I believe champions league this season belong to Real Madrid.

Why will Guardiola choose to use boys to play this game when we have people like K. De Bruyne and B. Silva on the bench.. But however, its not late.. It's not a priority so they reshuffle some players to keep their core players fit and the substitutes get enough time to continue playing.
I personally don't expect much from this game because even if they win or lose it doesn't have much of an impact on them so it's clear that Pep knows what he has to prioritize and of course resting the players is the right thing.
It's currently 55 minutes of running time and the score is still 1-1.

I expect Benfica to win, so they stay third. However, if Benfica fail to win then that would mean Juventus finishing 4th, that would be a real failure. Juventus have played a very bad tournament this season. AC Milan must beat Salzburg at home to advance in the CL and seem well on their way via an early AC Milan goal. Giroud made him. Dynamo Zagreb quickly took a 0-1 lead, but within 10 minutes it was already 1-1. I expect Manchester City to win easily but I don't know if they have set up the 1st team or some sort of reserve team.

Juventus will go in to the Europa League even they lose today because Maccabi Haifa also lose, 4:1 for Benfica. Good news for Juve, Federico Chiesa is back after injury. For Italy, Juventus is playing the worst Football in the Champions League, but AC Milan, Inter Milan and SSC Napoli are in the next round, so 3 out of 4 is a good result.

I don't follow the Italian serie A that closely so i am pretty surprised how bad Juventus is performing this season in the Champions League. I mean they basically always were the by far the best team in Italy in the last ten years or so and they also always have been a favorite to reach the semi finals of the Champions League or even more. They are also only on the 7th place in the Serie A too. I did a little research and found out that they have massive debts apparently just like FC Barcelona. Juventus made a loss of more than 200 Million € just in the last season alone and they were doing this for five seasons in a row now. So it's their own fault i would say.

Juventus deserved at least the draw but this is football.

Exceptional performance considering the 13 missing players and the players from the "b" team in the squad versus on of the best team in the world.

Liverpool is really beyond expectations. For some reason, they played really well in the UCL, until they finally won:

They scored 2 goals in the last 5 minutes, which is a great achievement.
Liverpool are truly an incredible team. I hope they will be champions this year.

Champion? Seriously? I don't think that they are able to do. Their performance is not really consistent. Sometimes, they could play effectively and very well. But they also often play unsuccessfully and badly. We can see how performance of this clubs far and I ma not sure if they will become the champion. Although they could beat Napoli, it doesn't mean that their team is that kind of  incredible. There are many other big teams that have been playing more consistently so far.

I will not consider backing the manager anymore how can Alegri be so poor for Juventus. Benfica won tonight that shows that they deserve the spot ahead and over Juventus.

The coach cannot always play with the top players in the club he has to give the younger players also an opportunity to gain some experience of their own. he finally brought in Kevin de bruyne and his influence was massive setting up Alvarez to score the second goal. Mahrez who was has not been consistent in front of goal also recorded a goal. it was a good game for Manchester city and the best game for Rico Lewis who scored the equaliser for Manchester city and is now the youngest player to score in his first start to the champions League.
