Chelsea exactly did what I was expecting from them in that game, even when people where talking about that Dortmund is very much in advantage of scaling through, that Chelsea is out , I still have this strong feeling that the match was still an open game for a 1-0 defeat then. This history of having a comeback victory in the end is what I used to know Chelsea when it comes to Champions League compition, they've done it against so many clubs, Barcelona, Napoli just to mention a few and has once again done it in their last night game with Dortmund. Nice victory for the entire blues team and they should pick up form from here, is been a long time victory.

I previously said that Chelsea would win this game. and yes, Chelsea was able to conquer Dortmund as well as break the pessimism that doubted Chelsea's performance in last night's game. however, IMO, this victory is quite dramatic for Chelsea. after Sterling's goal in the 43rd minute, Chelsea also benefited from a penalty reward in the second half.

To be honest, this match was not that impressive even though both teams played openly. I saw that there were many mistakes made by the Chelsea players, and vice versa, Dortmund's games were also not very impressive, especially the defenders who were not disciplined. Uniquely, Chelsea's second goal was very controversial and I don't know why the referee asked to repeat the execution of the penalty. because it was clear, Havertz missed the first penalty kick.
by the way, at least this victory is a breath of fresh air for the Blues fans.

That is exactly what this victory is,a breath of fresh air for the Stamford Bridge fans but unfortunately the road now for them becomes increasingly difficult not only in the Champions League but also in the Premier League where their recent overall form suggest them not being on top form.

For tonight game though Bayern vs Psg the most natural bet is with goals rather than money line as most likely both teams will score goals and we will have a both teams to score yes as well as over 2.5 goals as a minimum there.

This victory was a great morale booster for Chelsea.  It may have been a sad match for Borussia Dortmund as well because Chelsea are in a very bad period and if you catch Chelsea only in such a period, you have a strong chance of going to the next round.  They missed this opportunity.  Now we will talk about Chelsea's opponent in the next round.

Potter has been using this formation for quite some time now and just that it did work today because of how too offensive the dortmound back line was. He did brave by sticking to the formation but his substitutions look poor to me because a game that could easily gone to extra shouldn't be the one you take off your attackers. Chelsea did not play better compared to their last games, but Borussia Dortmund showed an unimpressive game. And things got even worse at the beginning of the second half when Chelsea took a penalty twice, it threw the Dortmund players off balance, after that there were a lot of nerves.

It is clear that Chelsea were just trying to keep a suitable score for themselves, and Borussia Dortmund failed to oppose anything worthwhile to this. We can say that this victory slightly improved Potter's position, the victory is very important for him and for the team.

Chelsea has been in very poor form in the Premier League. We were seeing their bad performance continuously. So in the match against Dortmund, we were considering the Dortmund team as the favorite. But unfortunately, Dortmund could not win the match. The performance of Dortmund's defenders was not good in this match. There are already 2 clubs now, it's just a matter of watching two other quite interesting matches because Bayern-PSG and Tottenham-Milan will definitely present something very good to watch.

These two matches, namely Bayern vs PSG and Tottenham vs Milan, are matches that are quite a lot to look forward to. and actually I wish I could watch both. but since the matches start at the same time then I think I should choose to watch only one. And maybe watching Bayern vs PSG can be a more exciting match. I hope PSG will not disappoint in this match. even though they are guests in this game and Bayern are the hosts in this game. I hope this doesn't make PSG lose in the mentality of the game. And it seems that the PSG players will also be quite confident in this fight. as Mbappe said in an interview some time ago. Mbappe seems to feel optimistic that he can win in the second leg.

It's hard to do that, but watching Bayern-PSG seems to be really worth it to watch.
I will also watch this match, although we know that Tottenham-Milan will also be exciting but still Bayern-PSG is the thing to look forward to right now Conditions are almost the same as before with Bayern favorites at odds of 1.80 and that is sure to happen considering apart from that they will play at the Alianz Arena, they are also quite confident about their previous aggregate even though it was 1 goal.

PSG lost Neymar and Bayern also couldn't play Pavard I think it's still a bit of a balance.

Despite the win, I think Chelsea's game hasn't seemed to develop at all and reach a top level. But a 2-0 win over Dortmund was enough for the Blues to advance to the quarter-finals.

In the game early this morning, the two teams actually played quite evenly. Dortmund and Chelsea both created 13 chances with 4 of them headed on target. But luck was on the host's side, the penalty which was considered controversial by Die Borussen was the decider that made the Blues dash the hopes of the German representative to qualify.

I imagine if the aggregate was 1-1 in normal time and continued into extra time, then the result of the match could be different. So, congrats to Chelsea, I hope to improve soon to face the quarter-finals.

Scoring two goals in one game is like a big achievement for Chelsea, I check that what you said is true the last time Chelsea scored two goals was December 27th when they beat Bournemouth after that they were only able to score one goal or even no goals, it's quite strange with that fact how is it that a team like Chelsea is so difficult to score goals and last night's match if there is no penalty then Chelsea is still a team that can only score one, moreover these two goals made them into the quarterfinals of this prestigious tournament, but whether this victory is a sign of Chelsea's improvement is still a question.

The attacking lines and strategy seem to be a problem here. The strategy didn't suit chelsea play style but i wonder why potter keeps using it after so many lose that happened with chelsea. As you can see that if potter didn't ever change the strategy and he was always trying to use it over and over again. There was also something wrong with the coach. The players were just only following what was already instructed by their coach but the result was always very disappointing.

We can only hope that if chelsea will bring something new like using a new strategy. Potter must also think about that and he must not put his ego as his priority.

I think Graham potter is actually a very good coach. We have to remember when Graham Potter first came to Chelsea. at that time Chelsea was in bad condition. but then in a few games Chelsea continued to win games after Graham potter came. However, after experiencing defeat, the positive trend stopped. even Chelsea continued to experience a decline in performance until a few weeks ago.

And now Graham potter seems to have been able to restore the players' confidence and have found a good strategy for Chelsea. so that the result Chelsea was able to beat Dortmund in the match yesterday. And yes, Graham Potter does need time to bring Chelsea to its maximum performance.

Chelsea advance to the Champion league quarter final stage, despite they're struggling. Todd Boehly spent lots of sum for buying players wanted by Potter. Yet not convincing Chelsea fans with their performance. Chelsea really have good players, all they need now is a good manager. So, Despite 2-0 result, I won't support the idea of supporting Graham Potter by any means. However, Chelsea recognize their seriousness in one of the most prestigious tournament in football, but they are quite opposite in their the domestic league standings. However, an unbelievable turn around and yes they're still surviving.

We can say that all the players Chelsea have on all fronts are almost perfect, but the results are the opposite of what was expected.
Their stats on that win were still not that great either.
Graham Potter needs to think about the right strategy with the number of Chelsea matches he has overseen since being brought in from Brighton.
However, Todd Boehly definitely doesn't want Chelsea's situation to continue to decline in performance.

Today's Champions League rematches promises to be very interesting. Bayern Munich certainly made a big advance by winning 1-0 in Paris, but I wouldn't rule out PSG's chances of advancing. However, they have to play much better than in the first game. Neymar is still injured, but Mbappe seems to be at full strength. His coming on from the bench in the first leg completely changed PSG's game.
Also in Tottenham vs AC Milan, it's hard for me to pick a team that will advance. Milan's 1-0 win in the first leg doesn't settle anything yet and I think Tottenham can definitely make up for that loss.

After losing against Arsenal in round 15 of the PL on November 6, 2022 with a score of 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, Graham Potter switched from a back 4 formation to a back 3 and the result was also losing against Manchester City 2-0 in the EFL tournament on November 10, 2022 and also losing against Newcastle with a back 3 formation as well.
From these two defeats, Potter returned to a back 4 formation and the results also disappointed the Stamford Bridge public.

Is it possible that with a 3-back formation like the one used when beating Dortmund can make Graham Potter will get applause again in the next Chelsea matches this season?

this is a game between two teams that are very close, for that reason the result of the game is very unpredictable, in this case I prefer not to bet on this game, but looking at these two teams I see that it will be a game in which both teams scored goals

It seems we don't give enough credit to Benfica boys , because this team has suffered a lot in the last years when it came to European performances but now they are here , they beat Brugge again last night and they secured a place in quarter finals.

Chelsea has rekindled the hope of English Premier League players and clubs in the Champions League. Earlier last week, I already made a post confirming that the chances of English clubs to qualify to the next round of the Champions League is so slim. I only believed Manchester City to be the club that we go to the next level.
Surprisingly Chelsea FC has gone to the next round and Manchester City will also go to the next round who knows another English club would be lucky to join.
