Well, soccer is actively developing all over the world and even teams like Northern Macedonia, Malta or even Liechtenstein can take points away from the top teams. The same Northern Macedonia was able to beat Italy in the knockout rounds, which is a sensation in itself.

While I generally agree that football keeps developing, I woulnd't put North Macedonia in the same sentence with Malta and especially not Liechtenstein as they are way more seriopus team that can indedd take points from everyone (even though they kinda sucked at the Nations League last year) while you can't say that about the other two.

I think that the game between Italy and England will be the most interesting game to watch this week. Since Italy didn't qualify for the last World Cup, everyone is curious how well will they perform against a good team like England.

I don't know about you but for me the far most interesting will be Croatia vs Wales  and I have to say that I am not too optimistic. Historically we don't play good after big success (remember the 0-6 loss vs Spain after 2018 World Cup?) and I have a hunch that this game might be much harder for us than many expect, even without Bale who retired earlier this year.

I agree that North Macedonia is a much more serious team than Liechtenstein and Malta and most likely without these teams not much would have changed, because the maximum they can do is to get 1-2 points in the group and if they are lucky to take points from the leader, but playing against stronger opponents such teams also gain experience, even if very often negative.

In any case, soccer is developing very fast and for example teams from Iceland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which used to be the same "passable" teams, were able to surprise in their time and now they are taken much more seriously. The France team is a really fearful team. They got to the final of the world cup without two of their most crucial midfielders; Pogba and Kante. However badly Pogba is for his club side, he's always at top level when playing for France. If both Pogba and Kante can stay fully fit and in top form till the Euros then France is going to be an even better team.

As for Germany, I can't really tell what their problem is. They have the squad and they played really well during the world cup. I believe if they progressed out of the group stage in the last world cup they would have gone really far. For me I think they were just unlucky or over confident. They underrated Japan too.
Like you said, they have to play a lot of matches together for them to get harmony in their style of play.

Denmark is now much stronger than Finland, so I think that everything will end here 1:0 or 2:0. Denmark is likely to become a clear leader in this group, with rivals in this selection they were lucky. in the last 5 games Liechtenstein lost in all 5 games, I know they were games played last year so a lot could have changed in the team since last year until today, but even so I don't see Liechtenstein managing to create any surprises in this game, something like being able to beat portugal. for me, portugal will win this game, but probably portugal's problem will not be in Liechtenstein, but with its own players. the coach from portugal is a new coach, ronaldo is playing in a league with very low competitiveness while other players from portugal are playing in the big teams in europe, so this will create discussion in the team, because if they put ronaldo on for 90 minutes and not then the Portuguese public wins and the news channels will criticize the new coach and if the portugal coach puts ronaldo on for a short time then we will see ronaldo complaining and it will become news everywhere

this will be a game in which both coaches come into this game with injury problems in their best players. in the case of italy they have Federico Chiesa, Federico Dimarco, Ivan Provedel, Ciro Immobile and Giacomo Raspadori. on the other hand, the coach of england will be missing Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount, Nick Pope... so in this game the two teams will play in defense to get a draw, to have a draw here and a very good result for both teams, being that the attack power of the two teams will be reduced so defending is the best option to leave with a draw

Of course I want to watch and I won't miss this match, I want to know how Italy is playing after they failed in the world cup yesterday, now there must be proof that Italy still really deserves to be in this tournament.

Your Posting is over 5 months ago, but looking at this Thursday, Italy vs England is the most interesting game. The betting odds see England as the favourit. The match will be played at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Neapel. So Matteo Politano and Giovanni Di Lorenzo will be at home, they play for SSC Napoli. I dont think there will be many goals in the match, i think there will be a 1:1.

After watching how England performed during Qatar 2022, I am slightly pessimistic about their chances. And there seems to be very little team bonding and cohesion within the England squad. On the other hand, whenever they play, Italy display very good team bonding. This time they have a very young team, and I hope that teenagers Simone Pafundi and Wilfried Gnonto will be included in the playing XI. They will be having an ideal mix of young and old, with players like Federico Chiesa, Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne adding experience to the squad.

I also agree with you on this. The most important match of the day will be the match between Italy and England. Italian teams achieved very successful results in the Champions League this season. The probability of an Italian team going to the Champions League Final is very high. I think the success at the club level will be reflected in the national team. I agree that they won all the games until they met France. But I was not very impressed with the lack of team bonding. For me, it seemed as if the players were not passing around the ball. During the group stage, they had big wins against Iran (6-2) and Wales (3-0), but then they conceded a draw against one of the weakest teams in the tournament (United States). And during the quarter-finals, they ultimately lost a match which they should have won. Anyway, I would agree that they were a bit unlucky in Qatar.

Apart from Italy and England, there is one other big match that is the center of attention of football fans, namely the France vs Netherlands match which will take place on Saturday 25 March. France failed to win the Qatar World Cup due to a penalty loss to Argentina, so that this qualification will be a proving ground for France after failing in the World Cup.

The match between Italy vs England was a repeat of the previous final which was won by Italy on penalties. But for this match I don't see the possibility that Italy will win the match, they look very messy after not qualifying for the Qatar World Cup, betting on England's win is much more rational and currently many English players are in the best form.
