One of the worst things that has happened to Thurman is that he lost against the great Pacquiao, because that has marked him so much that even in these debates it makes itself felt, now I think that through the years he has managed to improve his technique and can have better control of your strength, your skills and above all know what your true capabilities are so you can see how far you can resist, this in the world of boxing is very valuable because it is the easiest way to measure levels Obviously many believe in Thurman, but you have to see how he is performing now after all that experience.

Spence Jr. is having the time of his life without having some struggles because his belt cannot be strip off from him as the fight was made to happen at 154 and not 147. Besides, he doesn't even want to build a legacy on his name by continuing what he started as he only lack one more belt to become the undisputed champion but his fear is holding him off because the counter part is Terence Crawford which means that before he can unify all the belts, he will surely have some difficulties first or even have his first loss.

IMO, I already gave up about this mandatory fight because it doesn't really sound mandatory to me as the belt holder wasn't even taking things seriously.

On the other hand, the boxing media has been in a buzz lately because of the potential fight between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. And I think this is the biggest fight of the year, it could exceed the Davis vs Garcia fight in revenue (PPV sales and gate tickets).

And with that, it's obvious that this fight is going to be scraped for now. Thurman might go back to his regular job now as a boxing analyst and who knows when will be his next fight as it looks like he doesn't have the fire inside of him as we have seen in his last fight against Barrios.
