Certainly, bitcoin is becoming a world wide currency, and will grow bigger in the future. Half of the places I go now, all except bitcoin. I guess that's a good thing for us investors. BTCI agreed on you, in fact it is not just becoming a worldwide currency but it is already a worldwide virtual currency in the whole world actually. Moreover, in some places of Japan and China bitcoin declared as their legal currency.

Well, as someone post above, bitcoin still a global currency. The reason is that the price of bitcoin is unstable, which make money for investors. And from the time Satoshi invented bitcoin, its value has skyrocketed over time that attracts people invest in it.

Even if it a global currency on paper, the actual percentage of worldwide users shows a different picture. We have very limited reach in most of the countries of the world and thus it means the scope for the future is tremendous. Yes, I agree that we won't have a similar number of users in every country but at least, we can expect that 30% to & 70% of the total population would be using Bitcoin in every country in next 10 years.

I don't really think bitcoin is becoming GLOBAL currency, the thing is bitcoin is capped at 21M and there are 7.5B people on earth. If everyone gets a portion of bitcoin, that portion is too small for transaction fee.

For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.
Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.
It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption. There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.
The continuous growth of the users of bitcoin also affects the influence of bitcoin as one of the strongest currency. We all know that bitcoin is very popular nowadays and many people are so in to it because of the possibility that they may earn large amount of money without any government interferance. Bitcoin does not have a specific country to whom it belongs that's why it's considered to be a global currency but still it's not yet legalized to all the countries. If ever it will be legalized, there will surely be some change in price and will most likely push bitcoin in to more innovation.

Well, its a long run for bitcoin to become a global currency.US dollars has been enjoying the position as global reserve currency since last seventy years. It has gained its importance since petrol rich countries started to sell crude oil only for dollars. We could buy any thing with dollars all over the world. But bitcoin has just crossed its initial stage of eight years.Legalization of bitcoin has just started now in some countries. So it would take more time for bitcoin to become a global currency.

Supply and demand will be applied all the time. Though there are 7.5B in this world still 21 M less those burned bitcoins, it is still enough to say that bitcoin is a global currency. And it is making noise all around the world and people wants to have it most of the time. I'm pretty sure that you'll see on how fast bitcoin Is being used globally.

Still a long way to go mate, even today majority of the world is unaware of the bitcoin and cruptocurrencies. Bitcoin needs more popularity and i believe cryptocurrencies should encourage new people to be a part of this community so that it can grow faster.

The journey is long and long, we should be aware that bitcoin users are no more than 1% of all humans currently living in the world. To be becoming a global currency need at least 51% users.

Well as far as it seems that every nation or country have even atleast one users there's a potential for it to spread and gets popular. Though becoming global currency as its tag were way too far since dollar is already known for it.

Do you really have physical or any real evidence at all the support your claim on banks trying to hinder Bitcoin's success? Because it is crazy to think that a business related to holding currency be threatened because of the existence of Bitcoin. If I am a bank owner I wouldn't be threatened at all, because if you think it this way I have other means of revenue such as credit card interests, loan re-payments, foreclosed properties which I know will be with me in the long run. Also at the end of the day we will find ourselves using the services of these banks.

Bitcoin is now increasingly used by the layers of society, where most of the country is able to accept the existence of bitcoin., but of course the role of bitcoin will never replace the global currency, because if bitcoin is able to become a global currency of course every country will lose its currency. The role of Bitcoin to date is only an alternative to transactions that can be accepted by most of certain countries only.

Already it is a global currency because now many countries accept Bitcoin as legal currency. So it has already proved that Bitcoin has become a global currency. Very soon many countries will start accepting Bitcoin as their payment option.

We would really hope for this thing to happen on which bitcoin would be slowly adopted on some countries but i can say that this would really be a tough thing since not all countries do have the same mentality on which Japan have.We do see that bitcoin is really a great innovation on payment aspects but considering that its a decentralized thing i can say that government wont easily allowed this thing to be the mainstream later on. It might be rather an another alternative but wont be considered to be a Global currency.Bitcoin does really give some opportunities like earning money but its not being focused on that thing.

I think the reason why these few countries accepted Bitcoin as their currency is that they wanted to take that first step in embracing the Digital Technology. They are also aware of what will come in the future. Therefore they already implemented this to their country as soon as possible, to become a well developed country when it comes to digital economic status.
