That may be true, but getting relegated isn't that terrible thing. You still earn rewards in the second league as well, even though they are not that generous. The only thing that Trofo and cryptofrka didn't mention (or I didn't get it) is what will happen with people that end up in the last three spots in the third league. Do they get kicked out of the competition? And if they get kicked out, can they return somehow?
No, currently they remain in the 3rd league. They are just the only ones that aren't getting any rewards. In later instances, when we will have 3 leagues with 20 players, these 3 players will probably be removed from the competition and new 3 players will be given a chance to enter. But let's go step by step, we'll see how we'll deal with that when hopefully we reach that point. For now everybody remains in the competition.

I'm still yet the full picture of how the competition would work out, but I don't want to read too much into it just yet and try to get ahead of myself, there are just about enough pools to worry about for now, However, I'm pretty sure that with you and Trofo at the helm of affairs, there is absolutely nothing to worry about, I can only just look forward to it.

Absolutely! The guys held the World Cup competition without any problems and while this competition will probably be more work, I'm sure they will once again do a great job. Will you start the competition on Monday even if you don't get enough applications to fill all three leagues? Will you start the competition with less players to start with?

Yeah, we plan to start on Monday to catch the CL games. Maybe we'll rebalance the leagues a bit, we'll see. Considering that we have a fixed amount of possible rounds until the football season ends and SB wants to crown the winner at the same time as Arsenal are crowned champions, for this season our options regarding league size/potential fixtures list is a bit limited. We'll know more in a few days, the applications for the 1st league are closing soon (these are closing a bit earlier because we need to collect entrance fees) and we'll be a bit smarter then.

Competition starts on time since schedule is quite tight. We will have enough players for first two divisions for sure so I don't see any problems there. If third divison has few less players it isn't that big of a deal. But I am still thinking it is more likely that we have to turn people away than that we have empty spots. There is also quite a few people I expect to sign up that still haven't showed here.

Fear of relegation haha, yeah, I know very well that fear -- in the case of my local club, throughout my lifetime, all the way to the painful end where we actually just got dissolved.
Once I see who's not joined, I'm going to start spamming DMs (but I agree, don't think we'll have a lack of interest).
Not important for me, but might be for others: what happens in the new season with teams promoted to the 1st division? Are they then required to pay a fee? And those relegated no longer paying? I sense this to be something of a point with some people (knowing people).

Yep, it's in the rules: The players that will be in the Division 1 in every following season will always have to pay the buy-in fee. The minimum buy-in fee will be 60$ in BTC equivalent with potential that it gets increased in case the reward pool gets bigger in the future.
2nd Division will always be free to play, but it is paid out from the Div1 signup fees. We'll make sure though that the Div1 rewards are set up in a way that almost everybody gets it back. Currently buy in is ~60$, and 11th position reward is 100$. We plan to continue with this method and share rewards like this in the future. 3rd place in 2nd division earns 100$, so you'd basically cover next season in the 1st Division from that alone.

yeah, within 3rd division you don't have that fear, you are having the joy of playing in lowest division with no relegation (called Beton league in my country) just looked through participants list, expected more people to join so far, lower number than on WC competition there is still time to join dough, and three division should be filled in the end, hopefully ~snip I guess that if someone from Division 2 doesn't want to pay the fee, he will stay in Division 2 and his opponent will stay in Division 1. why would someone compete in D2, and refuse to pay D1 fee when promoted? for me it is hard to imagine that

No, not really. The entrance fee would probably be deducted from his winnings so he wouldn't even have an option to choose whether he wants to join Div1 or not. We are talking about big prize pools and really small buy-ins for such type of competition, the players have to be able to give at least some minimum from themselves back to the community that is playing.

Silly me, I did read the rules and that part skipped my attention! And this response also now clarifies things -- Fees for the next season are automatically deducted from winnings. I suppose then, this leaves only the freebet winners who'll need to pay up for the restart. Again, I know it makes sense for a lot of us, but after years on this forum, it's not difficult to expect some people could be confused (not pointing fingers, some people are like yours truly). Anyone else itching for UCL?

Again, I know it makes sense for a lot of us, but after years on this forum, it's not difficult to expect some people could be confused (not pointing fingers, some people are like yours truly). Anyone else itching for UCL? You can of course decide to opt out of competition or choose to receive full reward and send us participation fee later. It is just simpler that way since new league will start quite soon after this one ends. This way we can pay fees for 80% of first league in 1 tx and save some tx costs and money for everybody. Free bet winners in first division are actually relegated and people promoted from second division are also getting more money then they need to pay. It could happen very easy that whole first division next season can use the rewards from this season for fee. I am looking forward to CL matches as well, about time they resume. We never had a pause this big in CL.

Silly me, I did read the rules and that part skipped my attention! Maybe because Cro2 team wrote rules the same way like websites are writing terms and conditions, or those small letters you can find on product packaging, so we just skip over them I am just asking you guys to remember and ping everyone when BSFL starts, or as I like to call it League of Extraordinary Fanatics. Anyone else itching for UCL?
Next week Champions League is finally back, but after this long break it's not going to be easy to predict all the matches correctly. PSG just lost in Coupe de France from Marseille, maybe they are thinking more about Bayern Munich.

They were pinging in the World Cup competition and now in another campaign they are doing the same. Man, I can't wait for this competition to start. I'm even more looking forward to this competition than to UCL starting again after a long break

I was hoping very much to see the continuation of this activity after the successful one in the World Cup. And it has made me very happy to see it coming true. Besides there is a promotion/relegation system in the league and this is another factor that will always keep the competition alive. A small advice: You can think of adding play-offs as well in addition to the final four for the Euroleague. Besides it must be really sad for you that you aren't able to join after creating a this much great organization.

..or as I like to call it League of Extraordinary Fanatics. I like that, we should have called it that way instead Some nice memories to a very good albeit naive movie. Not many days to go and then we start. We know there is a lot of rules but as we said multiple times they are more for us then you guys. Just a way to keep everything transparent and for those who want to check every single detail before it stats.

Speaking of sports fanatics, is there any particular event you guys are looking forward to? I actually made some serious plans to watch the SEA games in Cambodia this year, but we couldn't arrange things for the family in time (there's a local village athlete to see). The last new sport I tried to watch was T20 cricket, I might get around to watching the upcoming Women's World Cup. ..or as I like to call it League of Extraordinary Fanatics. I like that, we should have called it that way instead Some nice memories to a very good albeit naive movie. Man, is it weird I also have a somewhat good relationship with that otherwise dumb movie? Also, League of Gentlemen is an amazing series that will probably never air again because of political correctness, but that's another story.

I have failed to take my kid to Hungaroring last season, and this season is almost a must, but there is a shortage of tickets already, hopefully I will get one for that, it is in summer, and crossing border by car (Serbia/Hungary) in those times is taking 4-6 hours at least by direction, but should be a good fun speaking of that, is there anyone interested to organize F1 pool, saw that Superbru already included it in competition
