CSK had not a good season in 2022 under the captaincy of Ravindra Jadeja. Now CSK captaincy is back to Mahendra Singh Dhoni and we will see results after 4 to 5 games. Till now CSK have played 2 matches, lost the opening match against Gujarat Titans but made a good come back against Lucknow Super Giants last night.

Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rossouw, and Sarfraz are all excellent batsmen in the T20 format. Apart from Axar Patel, no other batsman's strike rate was satisfactory in today's match. Axar Patel scored 36 off 22 balls. However, I don't think a score of 162 is enough to win. Gujarat Titans will win today's match.

For the 2023 season of Pakistan Super League, the average target was more than 200. Nowadays, this is the average totals that T20 teams make batting first. So far in this season of the IPL, the totals have remained much below this range. Out of the 7 completed matches, in just two occasions the teams made a total of more than 200. And in both the cases, the team batting first won the match (Rajasthan Royals against Sunrisers Hyderabad, and then Chennai Super Kings vs Lucknow Super Giants).

you are right IPL pitches are not very bowling friendly in any of my matches. Every pitch was good enough. And the batsmen were able to play well. Delhi managed to collect only 162 runs on this pitch. And it wasn't enough to win. At least 180 plus is required on these pitches. Delhi batsmen are not playing well. However, the performance of their bowlers was quite good at the beginning of the innings. But they cannot maintain continuity. Sai Sudarshan and Miller's excellent batting saw Gujarat win easily. Gujarat Titans are now at the top of the points table after winning both the matches.

Anyways the rest of the Rajasthan Royals batsmen played well and still they managed to make the 192 runs which was a good achievement in the end, but yes, they lost the match anyhow.

I was quite surprised with Rajasthan Royals' decision to use Ravichandran Ashwin as an opening batsman. It didn't worked out anyway, as he made a duck from 4 balls. The other opener (Yashasvi Jaiswal) also failed yesterday. And it is quite surprising to see Riyan Parag getting included in the playing XI, despite not making any significant contribution either with the bat or ball. Anyway, Devdutt Padikkal was the one responsible for RR's loss yesterday. In a match where the required run rate was close to 10 runs per over, he made 21 from 26 balls.
