Chennai Super Kings put up a great performance and gave a huge target to Kolkata Knight Riders. Looking at the state of play so far, it seems that Kolkata Knight Riders will not be able to secure this match as they will need to score more runs in five overs.

If the KKR openers gave a good start then the match would have been interesting as they have players like Jason Roy, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell who are capable of changing the match but they need a good start and CSK is not having the best bowling line up, if not for the big total it will be difficult to defend them most of the time.

For KKR Andre Russell is yet to make an impact and he needs to regain his form for them to have any chance in this edition.

Royal Challengers vs Rajasthan Royals

Du Plessis and Maxwell scoring big runs for RCB is always exciting to watch and they did not let anyone down in this match. Rajasthan Royals enjoyed a respectable start but RCB Ashwin kept the momentum going all the way to the end leading to the team victory It is wonderful to watch the first batting squad triumph at Chinaswamy stadium once more. Even if second match of the day is almost gone its safe to conclude that Chennai Super Kings will prevail because the opponent has set an unreasonably high scoring target. Cricket has been entertaining today and we look forward to more spectacular matches in competition.

I would say that Punjab Kings played well and they did not let Mumbai Indian take away this match. Only 16 runs were needed by Mumbai Indians to win this match in the last over. However, Arshdeep Singh bowled the best ever over and took tow wickets of  Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera by broking the middle stump. What a sight to watch  

Playing first, Punjab Kings scored 214 runs which was always going to be enough if they bowled well and they deservingly win this match.
Not to forget the innings of Sam Curran  he made a quick 55 runs in only 29 balls.

Punjab Kings team played well and Mumbai Indians were quite strong to chase the target. For Punjab Kings team the score that came from 16^th over bowled by Arjun Tendulkar is very important. 31 runs came in that over and he levels the most expensive over bowled in IPL 2023 along with Yash Dayal. The bowler of Gujarat Titans wasn't given any more opportunity after thr last over bowled against KKR.

In the match Punjab Kings were well taken forward by Sam Curran amidst the rest of Shikhar Dhawan who is much dependent by the team.

I think it was pure luck today that RCB won the match. I feel it was only Hetmyr's 9 balls today which went absolute waste, RR could have won the match in these 9 balls.

Nowadays Mahendra Singh Dhoni is mostly playing in the role of specialist wicket-keeper. But he has made crucial contributions when it mattered. Remember the 32 from 17 balls for Chennai Super Kings during the match against Rajasthan Royals? Despite his age, he is still capable of lighting up the fireworks towards the end overs. Chennai has always been strong team in all ipl seasons that have been played. This is all due to Dhoni's captainship. Current ipl is his last, Chennai's team won't be same next year despite having rest of players same.

Like the previous seasons, Chennai managed to field a very strong team this season as well. And the important thing is that the players of the team are in very good form. Both batsmen and bowlers are playing very well. Also, they got an experienced captain like Dhoni. He can take the right decisions at critical moments. Chennai played brilliantly against Kolkata. It is expected that the Chennai team will be able to stay in the top 4 of the points table.
