I would say it was an easy win and much needed win for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

LBengaluru has given themselves a fighting chance in this match with their tally of 174 runs in 20 overs while losing 4 wickets. KXIP needs Dhawan back desperately. Also they need to revamp their side as well, we see everytime they make bad selections in auctions, they are bold and expensive but not always correct. If you see there is no single batsmen in the full KXIP line up who is a dependable long innings batsmen. As Dhawan got injured their whole batting line up is collapsing. Infact they are themselves experimenting so much with foreign players also that looks as if they are confused. I think Choice is pretty simple for them. You go with Sam Curran, Rajapaksa, Raza and Short/ Livingston in your line up. Sam Curran is a death bowling specialist, even I consider zero contri from him in batting, i have no regrets because he bowls so well. With Raza and Rajapaksa you get two dependable long innings in form batsmen and with Short/ Livingstone you get a pinch hitter as well. Once Shikhar is back, on paper it's so easy for them to make a team.

I was surprised to see that too, it might have been a bowling pitch since even Kolkata couldn't score many runs and then Delhi struggled to win the match with ease which everyone was expecting to be the case, we can't even say that Kolkata's bowling was too good because that won't be very accurate since we know their bowling is quite weak.

However, people were probably expecting more from Kolkata, especially against the team that hasn't really been doing so well, so there should have been more pressure on Delhi based on that but it seemed like the pressure was on KKR instead.

One thing you notice is that Warner from Delhi Capitals scored only 57 runs and the rest of the batting scored very few runs. If Kolkata Knight Riders had not fallen quickly then Delhi Capitals would never have expected a win. Delhi Capitals batting line up is not a very strong one. Manish Pandey managed to score some runs at the last moment due to which Delhi Capitals got the win long ago. Especially looking at the points table, Delhi Capitals were the only team without any points. Two points have been added with one win in six matches.
