I was quite surprised with Rajasthan Royals' decision to use Ravichandran Ashwin as an opening batsman. It didn't worked out anyway, as he made a duck from 4 balls. And it is quite surprising to see Riyan Parag getting included in the playing XI, despite not making any significant contribution either with the bat or ball. Anyway, Devdutt Padikkal was the one responsible for RR's loss yesterday. In a match where the required run rate was close to 10 runs per over, he made 21 from 26 balls.

@Kro55 I’m not sure what was the Rajasthan management thinking when they sent Aswin as the opener, and I hope that they don’t repeat this stupid mistake again during the course of this tournament. Also the RR management needs to work on their overall tactics, because they had a stronger team yet they ended up losing the game.

With failure such as yesterday, they likely won't. Ashwin can bat, they likely sent him early to start inning with a bang as 197 is no easy target to chase.

I didn't know any batsman could bat so stupidly while batting against a huge target of 198 runs. Devdutt Padikkal is not a bad batsman. He is a talented and experienced batsman enough for the T20 format. But his performance in this match was very disappointing. He collected only 21 runs off 26 balls. He should have scored at least 40 runs off 26 balls. He batted like a fool.

Allowing Aswin to bat in the opener was another wrong decision by the captain. Ashwin is not an experienced player to bat in the opening. If Ashwin would have batted even after 1 or 2 wickets fell, maybe we would have seen a bit better batting than Ashwin. If Dhruv Jurel and Hetmyre did not perform well, Rajasthan Royals would have lost this match by a big margin.

Virat Kohli is gone after making 21 runs in 18 balls. RCB needed him to stay for the most part of the innings but not to be the case. The captain Faf du Plessis also got out after making 23 runs. Both the openers are out now after making some scores. This means that momentum is now with the KKR.
The required run rate for RCB is now over 11 runs and it will continue to increase if they keep on losing more wickets.

Sending Ashwin as an opener was definitely a poor decision by the team management considering the fact that the required run rate was around 10 and they needed destructive batsmen, and Ashwin is nowhere near being a destructive batsman, so I'm not really sure what their mindset and game plan was behind this decision.

Overall, their batting wasn't too bad as they ended up losing by only 5 runs. Hetmeyr and that other player whose name I don't remember, they played so well at the end of the innings, but unfortunately, they couldn't finish it successfully.

Right now, RCB is struggling after losing openers for the chase of 200+ runs against KKR. I guessed it would be anyone's game considering RCB's performance in last match and home advantage for KKR. So, I have not placed bet for today.

That is clearly and AI written comment for sure. I have hardly seen anyone using RPO acronym but anyways.

About the match. I think KKRs strategy to bring the spinners initially in the game was very good because the ball was dry in the initial overs and grip was better. RCB batsmen should have waited for the last overs to take some risks because we have seen even 100 runs being made in 7-8 overs due to wet ball as you'll see a lots of full tosses and length balls at that time. So big mistake from RCB and also a new strategy of using spinners initially in the game might start from other teams as well.

Well, the AI does not know that Virat Kohli is playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Umesh Yadav is playing for Kolkata Knight Riders. Someone needs to tell the AI to use common sense 

Many people voted for RCB and they must be thinking they would easily win the bet today until Shardul Thakur made 68 runs with the strike rate of 234. This was the turning moment in the match for RCB and from there onwards, they never looked back and in the end, won the match comfortably by  81 runs.

The batsmen of the team kept losing wickets while RCB were targeting big runs of KKR. As a result, it became impossible for RCB to win the match. However, KKR's bowling department has shown great potential. RCB's bowlers need to improve and so do the batsmen.

We could also say that it was a good performance by Kolkata Knight Riders as they deserve appreciation for what they did against one of the strongest sides of the tournament. KKR's run rate wasn't very pleasing initially, 3 of their wickets fell very early in the innings, though I predicted KKR to win, the beginning made me think for a little while that maybe I made a wrong prediction.

But eventually, they managed to win the match with a pretty large margin of runs remaining. KKR's bowling was as good as their batting, the early wickets of Virat and Faf Du Plesis by Narine and Varun were the game-changers in my opinion.

The batsmen of the team kept losing wickets while RCB were targeting big runs of KKR. As a result, it became impossible for RCB to win the match. However, KKR's bowling department has shown great potential. RCB's bowlers need to improve and so do the batsmen.

It was a pathetic performance from Royal Challengers Bangalore. They went down against a bunch of very ordinary bowlers representing the Kolkata Knight Riders. When was the last time that Varun Chakravarthy represented the Indian senior team? He and Suyash Sharma together picked up 7 wickets. RCB batsmen from no.4 to no.8 made a total of 16 runs, and that too after wasting 27 balls (in a match where the require run rate was more than 10 runs per over). And almost everyone in their middle order are very experienced - Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik, Harshal Patel.etc.
