Bengaluru players did not perform well. Even then I expected Bengaluru to win. Apart from Virat Kohli, no other batsman had a better performance. This entire season the team was dependent on the performances of Kohli, du Plessis, and Maxwell. Also, while Mohammad Siraj and Harshal Patel bowled with some control, the performance of the other bowlers in the team was poor. This is why Gujarat won this match quite easily.

With T20 matches it is really hard for the bowlers to defend when a batsman is in good form. One over is enough to change the entire match scenario. Also the bowling line-up of RCB isn't that effective and experienced. Mohammed Siraj, Wayne Parnell, Harshal Patel were the experienced ones. Among them Parnell performed bad whereas Siraj and Harshal Patel were good with their economy of 8 and 7.25 rpo. Vyshak Kumar isn't much experienced, and somehow managed with the economy of 10rpo. Himanshu Sharma is completely new and and he wasn't able to make any impact. Bracewell an all-rounder, sometimes the bowling turns the match and we can't expect the perfection of bowling from him. Pointing the bowling as the cause for loss is true, but at some situation bowlers were truly helpless.

Well the next IPL is in one year's time and Kholi and his team can't satisfy themselves that they will perform better in the next IPL. The next IPL will be a new tournament and every team will have to start all over again. Here Royal Challengers Bangalore only needed a win and could have moved ahead of MI but hard luck to them.
