The team isn't good at chasing targets. Based on the performance till date, Delhi Capitals could win a target around 150 runs, beyond that the team isn't prepared. Because from the very first match what it have scored while chasing as well as batting first are 143, 163, 142, 172 and 151 runs. In today's match it is completely the batting line-up failure, if not Delhi Capitals would've recorded its first win. Losing three consecutive and important wickets is truly bad. That too at the start of the innings, One thing to be appreciated, even after such scenario somehow the team managed to reach 151 runs. Atleast in its next match against KKR it needs to correct the mistakes and record its first win to start its position on the points table.

Apart from David Warner, most of their other star players are unavailable. The absence of Rishabh Pant is the biggest blow to them this season. And if I am not wrong, Lungi Ngidi is also out injured. Those who are not injured are in poor form. Apart from Warner, none of the other batsmen are scoring runs. Manish Pandey, Rilee Rossouw, Prithvi Shaw and Rovman Powell have all failed. And on the bowling front, only Anrich Nortje seems to be keeping his line and length, while Mustafizur Rahman have been a big disappointment so far.

Slow batting is very risky here. However, Kolkata will not suffer if Liton Das is added to their squad. In the last few T20 matches we have seen great batting from Lytton. He scored big and batted at a strike rate of over 150. Kolkata could have offered Liton as a replacement for Rahmanullah Gurbaz. I think Liton Das is a better option for Kolkata than Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Even in the last match, Rahmanullah Gurbaz did not play well. I don't think it's difficult to perform for a batter like Liton Kumar Das. He has been fantastic in his last couple of T20Is. If you compare his performance with Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Liton Kumar Das doing far better than Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Since the team management is satisfied with Rahmanullah's performance, it should be okay.

Sanju Samson played an incredible innings taking on Rashid Khan scoring 3 sixes in a row and he got out at the worst moment for the team but Shimron Hetmyer played the crucial innings by staying till the end and scoring the winning runs and on top of that Dhruv Jurel and Ravichandran Ashwin
