the situation sucks, but take it easy man, there is no rush to get the website back up. take your time.

not sure if you are using a cdn for the images or serving them directly from your server, but it's possible someone uploaded images and then used them on a website with big traffic, which could explain why your server is being hammered by all the requests.
if that is the case, you might want to disable hotlinking so that you can get the website back up and check the logs to see what exactly is causing this.

i can't imagine this is a targeted attack?

I think that's it too. But I have to check all the cases to understand what these requests are or aren't.

Maybe I'll gather some IPs and share them here, they might be able to help identify it.

What I see here is that there is a problem with your site's hosting, maybe you can talk to the hosting helpline or their support. Only they can fix it because it's a hosting problem. As far as I can see nothing happened with your domain, domain okay but missing with your hosting.

Please contact them asap so that there is no problem with any kind of data, if there is a problem then no data can be recovered. I also faced such a problem in 2021, suddenly the website became like this, but later I was able to fix it by talking to the hosting support. I hope you can fix it too.

I was not able to access Talkimg for some time and thought it might be the problem at my internet or a speed slow issue but coming here i came to know that this is something serious issue.

Some of the old images that I uploaded using talkimg are no longer visible on bitcointalk, I wonder if the data is still saved with the hosting provider?

As those settings may be to harsh to get images working in bitcointalk, you will need to add a rule for bitcointalk (making requests from bitcointalk.org bypass all your DDOS settings)

I added two rules: One to block Bots, and another one that FeeBuddy will simply skip. As FeeBuddy is a bot, he would be blocked without this.

This is exactly what you need. Bitcointalk must not be blocked, it must have a different rule.

I have sometimes had it happen the other way around because talkimg is on the same class A as some particularly annoying attackers and my security was a bit gung-ho about blocking. Talkimg is now on a high priority whitelist. Sorry this happened to you. I wonder what the deal is and why you're being targeted.

I found that in the WAF option it is possible to create exceptions for IP in "IP Access Rules". So I configured this:

Another thing I noticed is that every time I open TalkImg website I am now ''greeted'' with cloudlfare screen

Yes, this happens by prevention, just for a few more hours.

When you confirm that everything is calmer, I will reduce the pressure made by Cloudlfare in access.
I hope you understand, especially who uses the Tor.

It shows how reliant this site's user experience is on your service.  I don't know if money would help solve problems like this, but it seems like maybe a Grant system should be looked at to help developers like yourself have the necessary funds to make sure your project continues to thrive.

Maybe Theymos could dip into the now huge amounts of funds donated to this site.

Adding to the mystery that is troubleshooting...  I was just trying to upload images from my mobile and it wasn't letting me (iphone/safari) although it was letting me use the site fine other than uploading images.  Then I eventually switched to my desktop after many attempts and the exact same images uploaded immediately with no issues whatsoever.  Hope this helps complicate your thoughts on what is happening a bit.  Good luck!
