today we had two games, I didn't watch the two games live but I could see the highlights of the two games, I confess that I had to watch the videos on several youtube channels and I also saw these on the fifa website, because for some strange reason when i see the highlights on the fifa website the video has some annoying pauses, i don't know if this is just my side or not. anyway the most important thing and what I went to see in other sources and from what I could see the game was a little balanced with more real chances of goal for the Colombian side, but the problem on the Colombian side is that the players are very individualistic , if you were not playing as a team and stopped being selfish then the result of this game would have been different

All the three matches of the African teams were really tough and they'll somehow try to give the best. Rest is the fate, and one more geographical African country Jamaica is on the list. Though it is a North American country many think it to be an African country. Next few days were going to be very interesting as the knockout matches will decide the quarter final qualifiers. The Nigeria women's team will play against the England women's team, which has a higher chance of winning the Women's World Cup due to their beautiful performance in matches played so far. Nigeria has been playing better than the other African nations you mentioned. Although the scoreline of the fight between the two countries(England vs Nigeria) is a 50/50 game. But if I were to roll the dice for both teams, I'd say that England has a higher chance of winning against Nigeria's team and also winning the women's world cup.

Last round in group H was such drama until very final minutes. Especially when in both games there was maybe 15 minutes of additional time played. For Korea it was almost impossible to get out of group, but they took Germany to go to airport together. Germany can blame only themselves because on final round everything was in their hands. Today's scenario a bit reminds me 2018 men's World Cup when on final round South Korea also eliminated Germany.

This edition of FIFA Women's World Cup is the most successful for African teams as for the first time in the history of the competition, three African teams made it to the round of 16 and that's a good development to the African women's football.
Out of the three African teams that made it to the round of 16, Nigeria is the best in terms of quality of players and in FIFA ranking. However the most successful African female team will face England women's team which will surely be a big test for the super falcons. I see the Lionesses as quite an easy game. They've been performing well in their last games but I really don't see any need for the falcons to be so scared of them. Yeah quite strange! Myself didn't believe Morocco made it before reading the news twice. It was clear that Germany is favourite and they will make it, such failure was disastrous. Germany isn't well honestly even with Men competition these years.
UEFA Women's Nations League will start in September and they would better advance in this competition to forget about their failure.

It's going to be a tough game for my country women but I'm confident that they would win and possibly give England a run for their money. It's real impressive how African teams in the tournament has fare so far.


Once again, I'm stuck between picking an underdog vs top dog and I'm going with the underdog because I feel like the team is superb and also because my pick is influenced by bias.

Seeing Germany unable to win against South Korea was quite strange because they really controlled the game, and it showed an unequal match not only in terms of ball possession which Germany did control but in terms of the accuracy of ball passing South Korea was not as good as Germany.
It can be said that Germany has experienced a decline in performance from the first match where it won with a landslide score but the second match failed to win over Colombia and could only draw against South Korea which did not show them as one of the stronger teams.

German striker Alex Popp will actually compete with Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa in terms of top scores because both of them have scored 4 goals, with Germany already eliminated, the Japanese player will have the opportunity to become the top scorer at the World Cup especially Japan, performing quite well so far, so she will have the opportunity to continue to add to the number of goals.
