Australia seems to have missed many passes and shoots to goal, plus also of course causing the penalty for no obvious reasons.

The best moves in the games were from Sweden, and the 2 - 0 win seems to reflect that.

Australia couldn't out shine Sweden in the third place as the match ended 2-0 in favor of Sweden. It is a pity to see that the Matildas couldn't score any goal in this match. This is the third time that Sweden will finish third in four consecutive time. Sweden were quick and fast in the match,they were brilliant in performance and this was what made them win Australia. Australia felt disappointed after coming this far and not been able to win the bronze medal. Such an interesting match but I know that tomorrow will be more interesting than this. They have won a bronze medal more than once, so they know how to perform well at this level. The big hurdle they have to cross is the hurdle of the semi finals into the finals. Maybe they will be luckier in the next competition. Sweden Women's team deserves to be on the top position. Throughout the tournament Sweden performed well. Starting from the qualifiers the performance is big as most of the matches used to have big difference in the goal count. In the match against Finland it took 5 goals, against China it scored 4 goals. Against Italy it made 5 goals and it was quite dominant. In its important match against USA, the team did well in the penalty shootout and won against Japan. Gave good fight against Spain, but they wasn't able to win against the performance of Spain. Finally the third spot is a much appreciated win.

This is first time in women's World Cup history England have made it to the final. Is it coming home? I’d love to see them to win. Let's hope the Lionesses shine, they've already outperformed the men's team! It's going to be a challenging match, though. I think another motivation factor apart from the home ground or the prize money is that 3rd place standing in itself. When to go down in the history and see the stats for the previous world cup, you will find that this team and that team ended up in 3rd place. No one talks about the team attaining 4th place.
In a tournament as big as a world cup, 3rd place should not be ignored and must be fought in order to earn this place.

It was a clear penalty because there was a contact but if you watch the replay closely, I don't think it was an intentional kick. Both players were on the run and  Clare Hunt had contact with Stina Blackstenius because the striker stopped. The sudden stop led to the contact. But the VAR gave the penalty verdict and It was generally a good day for the Swedish team.
