A team that I consider a favourite today may perform poorly after a while or my favourite player may change. Also, since I have personal freedom, I can keep any club I want on my favourite list. If a team is good I will definitely support it. I'm also not in favour of supporting a team emotionally while people enjoy the game and are there for entertainment. I think my own preferences may change over time. No team should be emotionally supported for entertainment or betting purposes.

This is also what I do, I analyze and determine who will win because I will also include it in my betting list. If later it causes me to lose, that is the risk of a bet that must be prepared to lose. IN the Champions League I am always neutral and judge based on their overall performance, apart from that I will look at the mentality of a club. Because I see in the Champions League the mentality of being one who takes part in the results that the club will get in the future. Because usually a club with a high mentality will be more comfortable in playing, and in a game comfort is something that can bring victory.
Manchester City, Real Madrid are the 2 favorites, Inter Milan is also in my category, apart from that a club like Bayern Munich is also actually one of them, but I personally put a smaller chance.

Although you have the freedom to choose but still, the reality is that you will only choose the seeded teams or the existing elite teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City and a few other elite teams. Because after all, even though you have the freedom to choose your favorite team but yes, the reality is that you will not choose Copenhagen and Lazio in your choice, I am sure about that. Because yes, basically we will be influenced by the big names. For example, if you don't know anything about soccer but at the same time you have to make a choice and hear and see that there is Real Madrid there, then I'm sure you will make your choice on such a famous team because their big name is not in doubt.

I have no doubts that the Paris Saint-Germain squad can beat Real Sociedad in the first leg, especially since the first leg will be played at PSG's home ground, of course this is a strength in itself playing in front of its supporters.

It is always the advantage to play at home, the players can have an extra motivation and get bigger supports. But sometimes it can the pressure because they are demanded to win at home. PSG surely has the chance to win at home, but it can happen if PSG players can play solidly. They also must play with no pressure.

But Real Sociedad is also very strong at home, so I think Paris Saint-Germain and Sociedad will perform well in both legs. Even though Real Sociedad is one of the clubs that looks like a weak team, Paris Saint-Germain should not underestimate Real Sociedad.

In my own list this is how I rank em up;

I do think that Porto would be tough on Arsenal but they'll qualify ahead of them to the next round. I remember the last club that knocked them out of the Europa League Competition last season was Sporting Lisbon. As for Barcelona, they're one team with lot of inconsistency. Could they defeat Napoli? They could finally do that but they will not escape if they fail to sign up a good defensive midfielder. According to Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester City are his number 1 option to win the Champions League Competition.

Actually seems possibilities with yours list teams potential become the Champion League winner for this season but I doubt when top teams from first until fourth number have to face early. Such as last season Champion League match drawing, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City have to face early and left Inter Milan with easy drawing match until success lead to final. However most dreaming Champion League final waiting for between Manchester City vs Real Madrid but both team have to face in semifinal match.
If drawing match scenario between Manchester City and Real Madrid have to face early I think both team get potential lead to final and my first number list favorite winner is Real Madrid.

Yes, I think most of the people are going to agree with the prediction that you had. And most of the people are also going to have a somewhat similar prediction as well. And if someone asks me which team is actually going to take the crown, I will actually say that it will be either Real Madrid or Manchester City.
 
Inter might also be in the debate. But right now for me, it is hard to say that Bayern Munich is going to win the Champions League trophy. They will be in the semi-finals at least in my opinion. They might even be in the finals. But I do not see the meaning of the Champions League trophy.

On papers all looking very easy and settled but ground realities are always different with having nothing to do with these predictions which are coming on papers who are going to be in last four nothing is clear as we all know on ground on match day any team can perform extraordinary, and we can have upset which is part of the game and these top teams can face others in quarterfinal as well which is also part of the game so predicting about who is going to be in last four is not easy with all teams which are currently having spots into round of 16 are eligible for the qualification into last four.

Current performance and consistency is surely giving advantage to few teams, but this is not guaranteed about them to be had spot into last four Real Madrid and Manchester City are surely impressive but on match day performance is much important then predicting about this all as we are still having 3 weeks into these matches.

I agree with the ranking list you have made. I don't know why some people above me are commenting about Barcelona being in fourth place. And I also don't agree with placing Barcelona other than sixth. The list you have made is very precise with what I predicted. Madrid has the biggest opportunity this season if you look at their extraordinary performance. City were initially favorites at the top but injuries to KDB and Haaland left him in second place. I thought about putting Arsenal above Inter Milan but it's not something big because both are at the same level.

I think everyone has their own goals and reasons for supporting any team, because there are also true fans who continue to desperately support one team without wanting to support another team even though the team they support is no better than their own rival team. With our minds, we have various clubs we're supporting. Very interesting UCL fight it will be for these elite teams who will not back down from doing their best to ensure there are competitive race for major titles. The rankings are correct because these teams mentioned are the top clubs having good fights for the UCL title this season. We should be more concerned with Real Madrid and Manchester City because they're the only contenders with streak unbeaten run and they've proven themselves to be topping favorites to enter the grand finale of UEFA Champions League.

Even though Manchester City was very superior in the first leg, Manchester City should not consider Copenhagen as a weak team because in the group phase they managed to win against Man United and Galatasaray. they have shown that they can definitely pose a serious threat to any of their opponents and even managed to hold Bayern Munich to a draw in the group phase.

Moreover, the first leg match will be held at Copenhagen's home ground, of course this will be a motivation to play in front of his own supporters. It seems like you overestimated Kevin. Agree with you that Kevin's return at this time is very urgent for Mancity, it is easier for them to play their style of play than before. I also highly appreciate Kevin's abilities, but in the UCL arena is a different story. With the weakness of age and newly recovered injury, I think Kevin will be somewhat inferior to Real and Bayern, especially in the competition duels in the midfield. Pep Guardiola is a great coach and very experienced in this competition, he managed to give his team the UCL title after successfully overcoming various obstacles starting from the group stage to the final round. Of course he will not underestimate Copenhagen, even though Manchester City is statistically superior to Copenhagen, he will still field his best squad with the attack scheme that has been used when Manchester City played in Big Matches.

Copenhagen must consider all aspects when facing Manchester City, they can maneuver, but must not play openly because they will be very vulnerable to defeat due to Manchester City very fast and deadly attacks. Surprises are possible, but Manchester City will not let that happen.

Initially, I personally underestimated Copenhagen. Especially after they lost to Man United in the first Copenhagen meeting in the group stage. But in the second meeting against Man United I was surprised because Copenhagen were able to avenge their defeat in the first match by winning the second match. And my surprise also increased when I saw that Copenhagen was able to hold Bayern to a draw. Even though I think Bayern's current performance is at their best. But Copenhagen can keep up with it. Even though Bayern continued to control the game at that time, Copenhagen also occasionally made things difficult for Bayern with their counter attacks.

I agree with you on this, Barcelona should be excluded from the list because they are inconsistent at the moment struggling to win matches and compared to other teams they are matches are not as enjoyable as other teams in the list.

A teams level is determined it’s performance as you stated and that’s why I would disagree with you about Manchester City remaining first, don’t rate them based on past performance, to be sincere Manchester City are lacking behind Real Madrid and Inter Milan at the moment. Actually the champions League this season has a lot of competitive teams than last season champion league that's why it was very easy for Manchester City although they were very much in a good performance but there rivals were not much compare to this season champions League were so many clubs are seriously trying to create a good record for themselves so it will actually be very difficult knowing the exact club that will become the champion of this season.

But however just like I mention on my other post I have a strong feeling that the champion of this season will fall between real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City because those are the clubs that there performance has been consistent than every other clubs on the league but right now real Madrid has been really proving there worth that they have all it takes to win the league followed by Bayern Munich but however in times of Manchester City I really can't tell because the performance and courage they had last season is totally different from what I'm seeing this season.

That's an interesting perspective on the potential outcomes of the season with Real Madrid being the most favorite due to their performances and the challenges posed by other teams. They are surely the favorite to win the trophy this season with their strong mentality and their recent performances, but I agree with Manchester City being their barrier, because Manchester City have more complete squad.

Regarding Barcelona, reaching the semifinal will be great for them due to their poor performances this season. Xavi's track record in Champions league as manager is also not so good. But I think they should have better chance than Arsenal, because they have a better mentality and history than Arsenal. Inter Milan as a finalist is well-rated in the list, because they have not improved much nor declined. Bayern should also be one of the favorites, but they seem to not having improvement from last season except replacing Mane with Kane.

Because the Champions League is the best club competition in the world, tension and pressure are to be expected. All clubs valued the importance for them to qualify and every one of them and the players fantasized to win the trophy.

I have a similar opinion on Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. These two clubs are never to be counted out and they are continuously playing to the upper levels in the Champions League. This season, I include the previous champion Machester City as one of the solid candidates. Inter Milan was halfway fortunate last season to play at the finals. It is a long shot for Inter to play again in the finals this season, but surprises happen.

Not all teams have the opportunity to go further because the Champions League is not only about the ability to handle the team, deal with pressure or the mental readiness of the players. The Champions League is full of conditions because there are big challenges that must be overcome by any team that is competing and if they make a mistake in maximizing their opportunities then they will automatically be eliminated.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have always been the favorite teams even though in the end they failed to advance to the final or win the league. The level of these two clubs is regularly in the Champions League so they should be wary of when facing any other team. Manchester City may still be the favorite because they were candidates to win last season, but in my opinion this season they will not reach the final.

But strangely, this arrogant coach is still very optimistic about winning the treble this season and this was revealed in his latest interview. I can't understand how Xavi can be that confident about his team's performance and even winning one title is impossible this season. I think his level of confidence is too crazy and he doesn't realize that his current position is increasingly threatened as Barcelona coach.

I would be very happy if Barcelona would go home first in the round of 16 and hope Napoli can do it. In terms of performance, Napoli is almost no different from Barcelona, but I think Napoli is still better. I want to see Xavi's face full of regret because he didn't realize his current position was so bad in handling Barcelona.
