I remember sparring with this user for at least a couple years about Bitcoin SV; at one point they admitted they were misled, and then used AI to generate a reply to gmaxwell, lol. Now they are applying for sig campaigns, and about half their recent posts are AI-generated.

Hey there, first of all—huge congratulations on your baby! 🎉 Becoming a parent is life’s greatest adventure, and it’s beautiful to see you thinking so thoughtfully about your child’s future. As someone who’s also deeply tied to Bitcoin, I’ll share what I’d do in your shoes (and a few lessons I’ve learned along the way).

1. Mining in Your Son’s Name: The Solar Advantage
With free solar power, mining BTC for your little one is a fantastic idea—especially if you’re already wasting excess energy. Here’s how I’d approach it:
  • Dedicate a Miner to Him: Set up a small rig (even a used ASIC) labeled as “his.” Track its output separately. Over years, even modest mining adds up.
  • Teach Him Later: When he’s older, show him how the miner worked. It’s a hands-on lesson in energy, technology, and Bitcoin’s backbone.
  • BUT: Keep it simple. Mining requires maintenance, and hardware evolves. Don’t let it eat into your time with him.
2. The “Baby DCA” Wallet
A monthly Bitcoin purchase in his name is solid, low-effort, and powerful. Here’s how to lock it down:
  • Create a Dedicated Wallet: Use a hardware wallet with a 12/24-word seed. Engrave the seed on metal plates, store them securely, and label it “For [Son’s Name] – Do Not Touch Until 2035+.”
  • Add a Legacy Note: Write a letter explaining why you did this. Include your hopes for Bitcoin’s role in his future.
  • Automate It: Set a recurring buy (even $10/month). Time is his greatest ally.
3. Pass Down Knowledge, Not Just Sats
Bitcoin’s true value isn’t just in price—it’s in the principles it represents. As he grows:
  • Teach Financial Sovereignty: Explain how money works, why decentralization matters, and how to self-custodiate.
  • Share Stories: Tell him how Bitcoin changed your life in a flawed system. Make it personal.
  • Gift Books/Courses: When he’s older, books like The Bitcoin Standard or coding tutorials could spark his curiosity.
4. The “Time Capsule” of Your Journey
Start a journal or digital diary today:
  • Write down your thoughts, mistakes, and lessons.
  • Save screenshots of memorable market moments, news articles, or community debates.
  • Give it to him at 18. It’ll be a priceless window into your love, foresight, and the era that shaped his future.

5. A Non-Bitcoin Gift: Your Presence
I am telling you this as a father of two, it'scheesy but true: The best thing you can give him is you. Bitcoin might fund his dreams, but your values (patience, critical thinking, resilience) will shape his character. Be the dad who plays with him, listens, and shows up—no amount of sats can replace that.

You’re already winning by caring this much. Whether you mine, DCA, or simply teach him to think independently, you’re giving him a head start most kids never get. And hey—if BTC moons, he’ll owe you a very nice Father’s Day gift someday. 😉

Congrats again, papa! Fatherhood + Bitcoin is a wild ride—enjoy every second. 👶✨

Bitcoin’s value is rooted in its scarcity (21M cap) and decentralization (no single entity controls it). Here is why I think it’s sustainable:

1. Adoption ≠ Just Spending: Bitcoin’s primary use today is as “digital gold” — a store of value. Fiat competes for payments, but no asset rivals BTC’s fixed supply. Adoption grows as nations/companies hedge against inflation with BTC (USA, El Salvador, MicroStrategy).
2. Speculation Fuels Awareness: Price surges attract users, developers, and infrastructure (like Lightning Network for cheap transactions). Volatility decreases as markets mature.
3. Whales Can’t Break Bitcoin: Large holders can sway price short-term, but they can’t alter Bitcoin’s rules or stop its network. The more BTC spreads globally, the harder it is to manipulate.

Bitcoin’s edge: It’s the only asset that can’t be inflated, confiscated easily, or shut down. As long as people value these traits, Bitcoin survives — and thrives.

Bitcoin’s not perfect yet, but its core properties solve problems no other money can. Trust the code, not the noise.

This is one of the most important questions in the Bitcoin space right now—thanks for sparking the discussion. Here’s my take, split into three core ideas:

1. Bitcoin’s Design Resists Co-Opting
Bitcoin’s revolutionary edge isn’t in who uses it but in how it works. No matter how many ETFs or governments hold BTC, the protocol itself remains:

  • Censorship-resistant: Nodes and miners enforce rules, not institutions.
  • Decentralized: No CEO, no board, no bailouts.
  • Fixed Supply: Institutions can’t print more BTC to suit their needs.

Even if Wall Street embraces Bitcoin, they’re forced to play by its rules. That’s the ultimate subversion: The system must adapt to Bitcoin, not the other way around.

2. Mainstream Adoption Is a Trojan Horse
Think of ETFs and corporate adoption as “gateway drugs” to Bitcoin’s true ethos.
  • Phase 1: Institutions sell paper Bitcoin (ETFs) to the masses.
  • Phase 2: Savvy users realize self-custody is the only way to truly “own” it.
  • Phase 3: The harder regulators push for control (KYC, surveillance), the more people flock to decentralized tools (lightning, CoinJoin, etc.).
This is the quiet revolution: Bitcoin’s mere existence forces transparency, hard money principles, and individual sovereignty into the mainstream. Adoption ≠ Surrender.

3. The Radical Core Survives in the Margins
Bitcoin’s “radicalism” isn’t diluted—it’s just bifurcated:
  • Surface Layer: ETFs, futures, and corporate treasuries (the “fiat-friendly” facade).
  • Base Layer: Cypherpunks, node operators, plebs running their own wallets, and communities building P2P tools.
The base layer will always exist. Governments can’t ban math. Corporations can’t corrupt SHA-256. The harder they try to assimilate Bitcoin, the more they expose the flaws of their own systems.

Final Thought: Necessity vs. Compromise
Yes, integration is necessary for systemic change—you can’t overthrow fiat from a cave. But Bitcoin’s principles aren’t compromised unless we compromise them.

Ask yourself:
Did the internet lose its revolutionary potential because corporations use it? No—it empowered billions.

Will Bitcoin lose its soul because BlackRock holds it? No—it’ll just force BlackRock to confront sound money.

The real risk isn’t adoption—it’s complacency. As long as we keep self-custodying, running nodes, and teaching others, Bitcoin stays radical.

P.S. To quote Nassim Taleb: “The most radioactive thing you can do is to stay non-violent and mathematically consistent.” Bitcoin’s code is its rebellion. Let the suits hold ETFs—we’ll hold keys. 🔑 ⛓️

#4 - for some reason this one comes back as not AI in Copyleaks, although I'm sure that it is

Hi and welcome to the crypto world!

What does “decentralized” mean?
It means there’s no single company or bank in charge. Instead, Bitcoin works on a global network of computers — all working together.

How do Bitcoin transactions happen?
You send Bitcoin from one wallet to another. The network checks to make sure you actually own the Bitcoin you’re sending.

How are they verified?
These checks are done by people called miners (or validators) using computers. They make sure the transaction is real and you’re not trying to cheat the system.

How is it recorded?
Once verified, your transaction is added to a public record called the blockchain — kind of like a digital notebook that everyone can see but no one can change.

I hope this helps. It may sound like a lot at first, but you’re in the right place to learn.

Bitcoin's distributed system, with its inherent immunity to centralization or destabilization efforts, embodies Satoshi Nakamoto's vision for a resilient currency. Bitcoin's resilience to criticism and persistent market deflationary efforts for over a decade is an intrinsic testament to its fundamental strength. Its narrative of success hinges not on public approval or institutional support, but rather on the network's ability to operate autonomously and accumulate value, despite persistent opposition from various parties. This core principle underscores a belief in quiet achievement and unwavering sustainability, a paradigm that defies external manipulation or reliance on popular opinion. This resilience serves as an affirmation of the original goal of building a self-sufficient and irreversible monetary system, affirming its viability through uninterrupted functionality.

Focusing on Bitcoin's proven achievements rather than speculating about its future is indeed a wise approach. For over a decade, Bitcoin has demonstrated remarkable resilience and growth, transforming into a significant asset. The progress achieved in this short period, from initial concept to global recognition, provides a strong foundation for future expectations. While some governments still show resistance, increasing interest from various segments of society, including institutions, is indirectly driving accelerated adoption and innovation. This demonstrates that over time, Bitcoin's potential to develop far beyond its current state is immense, underscoring that its historical progress is the best indicator of its brighter prospects.

The comparison between Bitcoin and gold highlights an interesting contrast in asset preferences across generations. Gold, with its inherent stability and historical reliance, remains the preferred choice for older demographics, symbolizing reliability and security. Conversely, Bitcoin's skyrocketing popularity among the digital generation is based on its higher profit potential and technological appeal, despite its less stable characteristics. While gold maintains its unwavering fundamental value and is likely to continue to do so, Bitcoin's exponential growth makes it a more dynamic asset in today's market. This contrast underscores the evolving investment perspective, where gold's long-term stability contrasts with Bitcoin's revolutionary profit potential.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5552210.msg65641542#msg65641542

This particular topic was deleted, so that's good. In my experience - in general - if a first post of a thread is written using AI, there's a good chance it won't be deleted, especially if its for advertisement of a product or service. For example, AI-generated ANNs is now the norm. General topics that start with an AI post should absolutely be deleted IMO. If there are only a few posts in the thread, it is more likely to be deleted (as happened with the thread in question) than a topic that generates a lengthy discussion.

this user just became a full member, and is now spamming ai generated posts on the turkish board. i was sure they were ai content, but i used quillbot's turkish detector just to make sure.

The Transformative Power of Bitcoin and AI

What do you guys think of this types of posts?

Dealing with Gambling Fever.

Given the structure, I wondered if it had been created with AI, but I ran it through a couple of detectors and it appears as 0% generated. However, I find it striking that this text, with that structure, does not have a single link to back it up.

If you are an expert on these topics, let's say a professor of psychology who specializes in problematic behaviors such as gambling, then it wouldn't be unusual for you to write a post like this without any references, but for the average forum user, I find it very strange.

I see in his post history that the threads he has created are similar, sometimes citing the source and sometimes not.

I tried checking if it was plagiarised and ran it on a plagiarism checker, and it says it is unique. It's possible that the OP used a paraphraser tool, and that's why the AI detector or plagiarism checker doesn't detect them, or maybe the OP just forgot to add their source.

The OP could be using one of those powerful plagiarism reduction paid tools. He has similar posts on the local board; I just deleted a few of his blatant copy and paste posts with references; I don't care; it's a poor posting habit.

I've been in the crypto space for eight years, witnessing the evolution from ICOs to IEOs, IDOs, Launchpads, NFTs, Ordinals, meme coins, and AI tokens. Each wave brought innovation, hype, and lessons. Now, I'm curious about what's next on the horizon for crypto. What's the next big trend or technology that could reshape the market?
From decentralized finance scaling with layer-2 solutions to the rise of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), the industry keeps pushing boundaries. Are we looking at mass adoption through simplified wallets, cross-chain interoperability, or perhaps AI-driven DeFi protocols? Could quantum-resistant blockchains or privacy-focused coins gain traction? Maybe tokenized ecosystems for gaming, virtual worlds, or even governance will dominate. I'm also intrigued by the potential of decentralized AI networks or tokenized carbon credits for sustainability.
What do you think is coming? Are there projects or tech you're excited about? Share your insights whether it's a new consensus mechanism, a niche token standard, or something totally out-of-the-box. Let's discuss what's brewing in the crypto world and where the next opportunities lie!

People learn from their mistakes, but when greed or gambling overrides critical thinking, errors occur. I personally invested heavily in XRPL meme coins when they were popular, but now they’re rarely discussed, and I’ve lost a significant amount of money. I also suffered losses in Ape meme coins. Despite this, I remain optimistic about the potential of meme coins on the Solana and Base blockchains.

Building a Successful Meme Coin: Community First

Launching a meme coin is more than just a catchy idea—it’s about fostering a passionate, engaged community that drives its success. Before hitting the market, prioritize building a loyal base of crypto and meme coin enthusiasts. A single misstep in launching or managing a meme coin can derail the entire project, so a strong foundation is critical.

Concept Matters: The meme behind your coin—whether it’s a dog, cat, person, or a trending theme—must resonate with your target audience. It should be relatable, shareable, and spark excitement. A compelling concept sets the tone and attracts early adopters who align with the vibe.

Community is King: A thriving community is the backbone of any successful meme coin. Engage crypto enthusiasts early through platforms like Telegram, X, Reddit, and Farcaster (if feasible). These spaces allow you to connect, share updates, and build trust. Encourage discussions, memes, and ideas to create a sense of ownership among members. A passionate community will amplify your coin’s reach and defend it during challenges.

Communication is Key: Transparent, consistent communication builds credibility. Use your channels to share project updates, address concerns, and celebrate milestones. Active engagement prevents misinformation and keeps the community invested. Listen to feedback and adapt to maintain trust.

Governance and Transparency: Establish a clear governance protocol for decision-making to ensure fairness and inclusivity. Community input on key decisions fosters loyalty. Equally important is transparency in token allocation and locking periods. Clearly outline how tokens are distributed, reserved, or locked to avoid skepticism and build confidence.

By prioritizing a strong concept, vibrant community, open communication, fair governance, and transparent tokenomics, your meme coin can stand out in a crowded market. Start small, build trust, and let your community fuel the journey to success.

It is possible that either the owner of both accounts is the same person (who made a big mistake, shot himself in the foot) or that the second person copied the text exactly from the first person (which is also a big mistake). Grin
To me these two accounts are way too suspicious and must be checked upon.

The main factors stopping $PI (Pi Network) from hitting $5 are a combination of limited exchange access, oversupply, lack of real-world utility, market skepticism about its tokenomics, and the need for major catalysts such as large-scale adoption or listings on major exchanges.

Key barriers:

Lack of Major Exchange Listings: PI is not yet tradable on top-tier exchanges like Binance or Coinbase. Most optimistic price projections ($3–$5 and beyond) are based on the assumption that such listings will occur and bring both liquidity and price discovery. Until then, trading remains fragmented and often at low volumes, making sharp rises unlikely.

Oversupply and Token Distribution: Huge supply from years of mining is a persistent issue. Economic fundamentals (supply vs. demand) mean that unless supply is tightly controlled or massive demand is created through utility, price increases are very difficult. Community forums actively debate this dilution effect.

Utility Is Still Unproven: While PI has a huge user base, actual adoption beyond speculative holding or tiny community transactions remains limited. Most price forecasts warn that without clear, large-scale partnerships and real-world applications, price growth will be hard to sustain.

Learning Bitcoin is inherently a multidisciplinary endeavor. To fully understand Bitcoin and its ecosystem, one needs to integrate knowledge from several different fields, including:

Technology & Computer Science: Bitcoin is built on cryptographic principles and blockchain technology. Understanding its consensus mechanisms, wallet security, mining process, and smart contracts requires a solid foundation in computing and programming.

Economics & Finance: Grasping Bitcoin’s monetary policy, scarcity, market dynamics, and its role as an alternative asset involves economic theory, supply and demand, game theory, and financial analysis.

Mathematics: Bitcoin relies on cryptography, which uses advanced mathematical algorithms for security, transaction verification, and digital signatures.

The assumption that Bitcoin is an instrument exclusively for the wealthy is a common but mistaken misconception. Bitcoin's decentralized system allows anyone to participate regardless of financial background. This phenomenon arises because the smallest unit of Bitcoin, called a Satoshi, can be purchased for a very small amount, opening up opportunities for individuals with limited incomes to own this digital asset. Regular, incremental purchases, along with a long-term savings strategy, can be an effective approach for people with limited incomes. With discipline and consistency in buying Bitcoin little by little, they can accumulate significant amounts over time. This strategy eliminates financial barriers and confirms that wealth accumulation through Bitcoin is not solely the privilege of the wealthy.

Bitcoin's primary advantage as a decentralized currency is its ability to operate without a central authority that could restrict user access. This differs from banks, which have the power to control customer funds. However, the role of banks in the economy cannot be ignored. Banks are significant job creators, although this role is threatened by automation. Furthermore, banks provide significant social benefits through mortgage services, which pave the way for many people to own homes. Banks also offer a variety of complex financial products, such as deposits and investment instruments, which Bitcoin currently cannot fully provide. Therefore, while Bitcoin offers financial autonomy, banks remain a pillar of economic infrastructure, providing a variety of essential services to society.

Bitcoin's future prospects are positive, but also tinged with uncertainty. With more institutions and mainstream companies adopting this asset, its valuation has the potential to increase significantly over time. However, extreme price fluctuations remain a hallmark of Bitcoin and represent a risk that investors should be aware of. Various factors, such as regulatory pressure and changing global economic conditions, can trigger short-term volatility. However, over the long term, Bitcoin's role as a hedge against inflation and economic crises is strengthening. This asset is increasingly perceived as a decentralized reserve of value independent of the traditional financial system, making it an attractive option for many.

We are currently seeing a significant shift in the cryptocurrency market, with Bitcoin's dominance starting to wane and ETH becoming the leading force in this rally. As mentioned, whales tend to use Bitcoin as an initial investment and then move to altcoins to maximize profits. However, it's important to remember that while altcoins offer the potential for quick profits, Bitcoin remains the safest asset for long-term investment. Indeed, if you have additional fiat funds, this could be a golden opportunity to invest in a growing altcoin. However, if you're focused on stability and security, Bitcoin is a wiser choice. This market movement is a clear example of the highly dynamic nature of the crypto world, which relies heavily on timing and precise calculations.

Bitcoin, like a small flame in the midst of a storm, emerged in 2009 or 2012 as an idea too foreign to embrace. Humans, with their instinct to avoid the unknown, may have seen it as a mere fantasy, not a gem of the future. Now, as its success resonates, regret lingers, not for loss, but for our inherent skepticism of the unproven. If time could bring us back, perhaps that skepticism would still prevail, for humans tend to choose safety over risk. Bitcoin, with its boldness to challenge the established order, teaches us that true vision is born from those who dare to step into the fog of uncertainty. Greed only emerges when truth is clear, but true wisdom lies in seeing potential in the darkness, embracing the unknown with an open heart.

This concept emphasizes the importance of transitioning from dependence to independence in trading. Copy trading can be considered a crash course that teaches about market potential but doesn't provide in-depth understanding. A smart trader will use copy trading as a stepping stone to learn the logic behind every decision. Mastering market analysis and chart patterns is a key asset that cannot be copied or borrowed. Without these skills, a trader is like a sailor who simply follows another ship without ever learning to navigate independently. When the ship disappears, he will be lost in the vast ocean. Therefore, a personal strategy is an essential foundation for building a solid and sustainable trading career.

This insight is crucial in defining the paradigm of a sustainable trader. Reliance on trading bots is a shortcut that actually leads to failure. These automated systems often promise easy profits but ultimately stifle essential analytical and decision-making skills. Success in trading is not the result of blindly relying on algorithms, but rather the development of a personal strategy that adapts to market dynamics. A true trader invests in themselves, not in unreliable tools. Mastering technical and fundamental analysis is the foundation that separates professional traders from passive speculators. This process takes time and dedication, but the rewards are financial independence and confidence that no trading bot can offer. Sustainable success can only be achieved through personal skill development.

This statement highlights the fatal flaw of a trading approach that doesn't focus on the risk/reward ratio. Relying on a winning streak to offset significant losses is a highly risky strategy. A savvy trader understands that risk management is a key component of long-term success. Setting a minimum risk/reward ratio of 2.0 is a disciplined rule that ensures every win has the potential to offset potential losses. Without this rule, a trader will be under constant pressure to win consistently. A single stop-loss can wipe out a string of hard-earned wins. Therefore, focusing on a healthy risk/reward ratio is a crucial foundation for building a robust and sustainable trading strategy.

This insight underscores the urgency of education in the world of trading. Avoiding the learning process because it feels stressful is counterproductive. Success in trading is not the result of luck but of discipline and a deep understanding of the market. Capital is only valuable if used strategically. Without knowledge of technical analysis and risk management, capital can be lost in an instant. Trading is both a science and an art that requires lifelong learning. The notion that trading is easy is a dangerous illusion that can lead to financial ruin. Therefore, building a solid foundation of knowledge is a non-negotiable prerequisite for achieving sustained success and avoiding unnecessary losses.

The Long-Term Investor's Perspective

FIRSTLY LETS TALK ABOUT STORAGE VALUE  Long-term investors see Bitcoin as "digital gold"—a hedge against inflation and a store of value that is not controlled by any central government or bank. They believe its scarcity (the fixed supply of 21 million coins) will drive its value up over time, regardless of short-term market fluctuations.

REAL INVESTORS BELIEF IN TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATIONS "HODLers" are often deeply convinced of the revolutionary potential of decentralized digital currency and blockchain technology. They believe that as global adoption grows and the network matures, Bitcoin's utility and value will only increase.

Compounding Returns: They understand the power of compounding. By holding a volatile asset for a long period, they can weather the inevitable crashes and bear markets, confident that the long-term trend is upward. Historical data for Bitcoin, despite its volatility, supports this view.

Reduced Stress and Fees: A long-term strategy is less emotionally taxing than trying to time the market. It also avoids the high transaction fees and potential tax complications that come with frequent buying and selling.

The Short-Term Investor's Perspective
You're right to highlight the fundamental difference in motivation. A short-term investor, or trader, is focused on something entirely different:

Market Volatility: They see Bitcoin's price swings not as a risk to be endured, but as an opportunity to be exploited. Their goal is to profit from these fluctuations, buying low and selling high, often multiple times a day or week.

Technical Analysis: Short-term traders rely heavily on technical analysis and market sentiment to make quick decisions, rather than on the fundamental long-term value proposition of the asset.

Profit is Profit: To them, a 10% gain in a day is a victory, regardless of what the price might be in five years. They are in the market for a different reason—not to participate in a financial revolution, but to generate immediate income.

Hello, I came across this thread and i want to share my thoughts on STUCK TRANSACTIONS AND HOW TO FIX THEM

STUCK TRANSACTION
1. Low Transaction Fees: This is the most frequent cause. Miners or validators on a blockchain network are incentivized to process transactions with higher fees first. If you set a fee that's too low, especially during times of high network congestion, your transaction will be at the back of the queue and may remain unconfirmed indefinitely.

2. Network Congestion: When there's a lot of activity on a blockchain (like during a bull run or a popular NFT drop), the "memepool" (the waiting room for unconfirmed transactions) gets full. This drives up fees as people compete to have their transactions included in the next block, leaving low-fee transactions stuck.

3. Wallet Issues: Sometimes, a wallet might not be correctly synced with the network or may have an internal issue that causes a transaction to get stuck.

4. Attempting to "Double Spend": This happens when you try to send the same funds in two different transactions. While the network is designed to prevent this, it can lead to one or both of the transactions getting stuck.

HOW TO FIX STUCK TRANSACTIONS

1. Wait it Out

If the transaction isn't urgent, sometimes the simplest solution is to wait. Network congestion often subsides, and your transaction might eventually be picked up by a miner. In the worst-case scenario, after a certain period (which can range from a few hours to several days), the transaction will be dropped from the mempool, and the funds will be returned to your wallet.

2. Increase the Fee (Transaction Acceleration)

This is the most direct way to get a stuck transaction confirmed. There are two primary methods:

Replace-by-Fee (RBF): If your wallet supports RBF, you can broadcast a new version of the transaction with the same inputs but a higher fee. The network will see this as a replacement for the original, low-fee transaction and will likely process the one with the higher fee first. You typically need to enable RBF in your wallet's settings before sending the initial transaction.

Child-Pays-for-Parent (CPFP): This method is useful if your wallet doesn't support RBF. You create a new "child" transaction that spends the output of the stuck "parent" transaction. The child transaction is given a very high fee, which incentivizes miners to include both the child and its parent (your original stuck transaction) in the next block to claim the higher reward. You will need a small amount of the same cryptocurrency in your wallet to pay for the new transaction's fee.

3. Use a Transaction Accelerator Service

Some mining pools and third-party services offer "transaction accelerators." For a fee (or sometimes for free, but with limited slots), they will prioritize your transaction and include it in the next block they mine. To use this, you'll need your transaction ID (TXID).

4. Check Your Wallet's Features

Many modern wallets, like Exodus, Ledger Live, and Electrum, have built-in "accelerate" or "bump fee" functions that simplify the RBF or CPFP process. Check your wallet's documentation or support pages for instructions.

5. Cancel the Transaction (for EVM-based Chains)

For transactions on Ethereum and other EVM-based blockchains, you can sometimes cancel a pending transaction. You do this by sending a new transaction with the same nonce (a unique transaction counter) and a higher gas fee to your own address. This effectively "overwrites" the stuck transaction, and the higher-fee transaction will be processed instead

Good checklist, you’ve already nailed some of the biggest ones. A few more I usually watch out for:
   •   Overpromised partnerships → if a project keeps dropping names like “we’re working with Google/Microsoft” but there’s no proof, huge red flag.
   •   Liquidity locked? If the team controls the liquidity pool and it’s not locked, that’s an easy rug setup.
   •   Anonymous devs + aggressive marketing → that combo is almost always bad news.
   •   No real use case → if the only “utility” is pumping the token, it won’t survive a bear market.
   •   Copy-paste contracts → a lot of rug projects literally just fork code and don’t change anything except the name.

At the end of the day, if the tokenomics look like a trap and the community is just hype with no depth, I’d rather stay out. Too many “next big things” end up being the next rug.

Safest way to buy Bitcoin is usually through a reputable exchange like Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, or similar (depends a bit on where you live). They make the on-ramp easy, you can just link your bank account or card.

But here’s the important part: don’t leave your coins sitting on the exchange longer than necessary. Exchanges can get hacked, accounts can get frozen – “not your keys, not your coins” is a saying you’ll hear a lot.

For storage, you’ve got a few options:
   •   Hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor, etc.) → safest for long-term holding, because you control the private keys and they’re offline.
   •   Software wallet (Exodus, Electrum, BlueWallet, etc.) → good balance for smaller amounts or everyday use.
   •   Exchange wallet → only for short-term (like if you’re actively trading).

Most people use an exchange to buy, then transfer to their own wallet (hardware if they’re serious about holding long-term).

Take it slow, don’t rush, and never share your seed phrase with anyone.

I think you’re right to be skeptical. Most altcoins really don’t survive in the long run, and a lot of them are just pump-and-dump projects with no real use case. That’s why I always say it’s better to review them constantly and get rid of outdated bags like Tron or EOS instead of holding and hoping.

Bitcoin dominance above 58% shows clearly where the real strength is. Even Ethereum, which is one of the stronger projects, hasn’t reached a new ATH yet – so expecting random altcoins to suddenly outperform is just dangerous wishful thinking.

Predictions about “altcoin season” always come around, but in the end, most people who chase those headlines end up losing money. Better to focus on projects with solid fundamentals and proven technology, not just news hype.

Yeah definitely something off about this account. They seem to be copy/pasting largely AI-generated material. Additionally, they seem to be an alt account of Phu Juck, who posts in a similarly mechanical fashion. These accounts have shared most of their merit between themselves. They have a few posts that are straight-up AI:

I get your point about decentralization – and I fully agree that too much regulation could destroy what makes crypto unique in the first place. My intention wasn’t to say that regulation should control every aspect of crypto or turn it into a centralized system like traditional finance.

What I meant is that the complete lack of any oversight makes it easier for outright scams to flourish, especially for new investors who don’t yet have the knowledge to separate solid projects from “obvious garbage coins.” Even minimal consumer protections, without touching the core decentralization, could reduce the amount of fraud.

I also agree with you that the main reason many altcoins fail is bad tech, lack of innovation, or no real use case. That’s exactly why I emphasize doing proper research and regularly reviewing your holdings – because whether regulated or not, bad projects will eventually collapse.

I’m not advocating for killing decentralization, but I do think the absence of any framework means scams can run wild, and that’s where many people lose money unnecessarily.

Sapling: 100% Fake
GPTZero: 100% AI Generated

That’s exactly why I always say: if someone is offering Bitcoin at a discount, it’s a red flag by default. Nobody sells below market price when they can just use an exchange – unless there’s something shady behind it.

Trusting friends or “friends of friends” doesn’t change the fact that stolen coins can get you into serious trouble, even if you didn’t know. And once you move them onto a centralized exchange with KYC, you’re basically pointing the finger at yourself.

It’s safer to just stick to reputable exchanges or P2P platforms where there’s at least some level of protection. Buying face-to-face with no guarantees is simply too risky nowadays.

Edit: I just noticed that there's a huge gap in the account's post history, possibly indicating that it has switched hands.

Great job in finding more of his posts, but also for checking who he has sent merit to. The other account also looks fishy but has fewer posts the last few months. The issue is that both accounts have ranked up and already have quite a few posts themselves, practically eliminating the chance of nuking them, with our only option remaining to tag them both with a neutral tag.

Although this post is a little old (end of May, not many recent posts) but I grabbed it completely coincidental, it's 100% detected as AI from GPTZero.
Bitcoin has been high of value always compared to its fork coins and here is why:

Instead to its fork coins, Bitcoin has had a very clear goal to be a P2P currency and a store of value, where code does not get changed too easily because Bitcoin wants to be a stead safe haven, where value can be stored easily and maintained easily.
Code changes in Bitcoin have always been controversial and Bitcoin always tried to maintain status quo, where no code gets changed too easily, making Bitcoin a big promise as a safe haven for money.

Some of Bitcoin’s fork coins have been involved in big fraud

As a shady coin, Bitcoin SV is known to be a big scamcoin, where owner Craig Wright has evolved as a disgusting scammer and he was labelled “Faketoshi” for his unproven claims to be Satoshi but Craig Wright could not deliver any proof to be Satoshi.
He only achieved to be a fraudulent scammer because once again, his claims could not be verified as Craig Wright failed to deliver a substantial proof to be Satoshi Nakamoto, so his coins got rightfully dumped

Bitcoin’s fork coins have not gained enough crypto community support

Crypto community support for Bitcoin’s fork coins has been very low and Bitcoin’s fork coins have not gained enough community support for various points such like transaction count, transaction volume or popularity compared to Bitcoin. It has to be said for Bitcoin’s fork coins to be very low crypto community support overall.
Bitcoin’s fork coins are overally used not very much for transactions and it is a massive difference to Bitcoin’s volume and number of transactions.

Bitcoin does not need to be forked

Bitcoin does not need to be forked because it is simply a good coin. We don’t need any fork because Bitcoin is good how it is.
Bitcoin can’t be hacked or destroyed easily
Bitcoin is an amazing store of value
Bitcoin does what it should do: send and receive P2P transactions
Bitcoin’s network doesn’t get down easily like Solana does
Bitcoin has proven to be a good coin for almost 15 years now

We clearly don’t need to fork Bitcoin to make in fundamentally different like so many unsuccessful forks have done and have failed to be an attractive coin.

The Transformative Power of Bitcoin and AI

If anyone is interested, they can take a look at Miramax12's post history.

I saw the following thread of his in the Speculation section:

If we’re going to see another major bull run in 2026, it will likely take a mix of steady economic conditions, fresh technological breakthroughs, clearer regulations, and overall market optimism. Predicting exactly when the market will take off is tough, but there are a few realistic factors that could come together to fuel long-term growth.
One big piece of the puzzle is inflation. If we continue to see it cool off around the world, central banks especially the U.S. Federal Reserve might start lowering interest rates. That shift would make borrowing cheaper, encourage more investment, and usually boost the appeal of riskier assets like stocks and cryptocurrencies.
Another major driver could be institutional money flowing into the space. If heavyweight firms like BlackRock or Fidelity deepen their involvement whether through tokenized assets, crypto ETFs, or building out blockchain infrastructure that kind of endorsement could bring in serious capital and boost confidence across the board.
Of course, no single event can spark a bull run on its own. But if we get a combination of strong economic signals, real-world tech adoption, and smarter regulations, it could create the right conditions for markets to really take off in 2026. The key for investors will be to stay aware of the bigger picture and think long term.

One of the answers:

Bullshit! Bullshit!

Did you settle down to write this crappy walls of text or you just prompted some intelligence to give you a post to make ?

I checked the text and it came up as 0% AI on Copyleaks, 86% AI on Quillbot, and 100% AI on GPTZero. I was going to look at more posts, but I see that his post history is garbage basically.

igebotz, I think he's from your community. If he hasn't broken the rules too badly, maybe you could guide him or encourage him to improve the quality of his posts.

The results I got for this user were inconsistent due to them likely using a humanizer to methodically insert minor errors into their posts. It should be obvious to anybody who sees their profile that they are using AI to post in every sports thread to meet the high quota for their campaign. It’s unrealistic that anybody is organically interested in so many different leagues and sports.

Yeah, I agree, it’s way too early to start doubting City just because they dropped points against Spurs. Even the best teams can slip up in the opening rounds — it doesn’t mean they’re suddenly weak. Pep’s system always relies on control, and they had that, but without sharp finishing their possession didn’t translate into goals.

Tottenham deserve credit though, they were direct and clinical when it mattered, which is exactly how you have to play against City. Still, with only two games played, City have all the time to adjust their attacking plan and get back on track.

For me, they’re still the main favorites for the Premier League title — but this result is a reminder that even they can’t afford to waste chances. It’s better for them to fix these issues now rather than later in the season.

Yeah, you’re right, the first year will be tough for Audi. Every time a new constructor comes in with their own power unit, it takes a lot of trial and error before they can compete with the big boys. Even with resources, F1 engines aren’t something you just get right on the first attempt.
But I wouldn’t count them out long term — Audi is a serious brand with a strong history in motorsport, and they won’t come in just to be backmarkers. Frequent updates and learning from mistakes will be their key to catching up.
As for Red Bull, I think their case is a bit more interesting. Without Honda’s ,,official,, support, they’ll have to rely on Red Bull Powertrains, and while they’ve already invested heavily, it’s not guaranteed that they’ll keep their current dominance. We might actually see a more balanced grid in 2026 if both Audi and Red Bull go through early struggles.

In my opinion, the first two seasons will be about survival and adaptation for these teams — after that, we’ll see who really did their homework.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying mate. Real Madrid’s possession game looks nice on paper, but football is about goals, not just passing drills. Against Osasuna they had the ball, they had the shots, but no killer edge. That’s why people start missing the old counter-attacking Madrid — quick, sharp, ruthles.
What Madrid needs now is balance — keep possession but add that unpredictability up front. With players like Mbappé, Vinicius and Bellingham, there’s no excuse not to be more direct. If they don’t adjust soon, Barça and even Atleti could punish them in the title race.

Just my take — but Madrid needs to stop playing safe and start playing dangerous again...

This EuroBasket is shaping up to be one of the most stacked tournaments we’ve seen in years. Doncic back in action, Giannis getting fit, and Lauri looking unstoppable… it’s basically NBA-level talent clashing on a national stage. Serbia having their full roster again is also huge, they always look more dangerous when everyone shows up like in the Olympics.

The odds you mentioned are interesting — Serbia at 2.70 for a medal feels fair, they’ve got depth and chemistry. Germany at 5.50 looks like good value too considering how well they played at the World Cup. Honestly, it’s going to come down to who’s healthiest and most consistent during the knockout stages.

With so much star power in one tournament, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some crazy upsets too. EuroBasket always delivers drama.
