Fair question. I would wait until they have at least 3 posts that are clearly AI-generated. I suppose it doesn't matter so much if someone just does it once or twice. Making a habit out of it is where it becomes bad, for everyone.

As you can see, I was thinking the same. They have not written enough posts yet to understand what they are actually going to do. If they write at least 20 posts, and they write more than one post using AI, then we can assume that they are going to use AI often to write contests. But since they wrote only one post, let's give them a benefit of doubt and keep my eyes open for a while.

again, i write all of my posts (in terms of content) myself. i.e. all of the prompts i enter into ai before they are translated are my own writing. please don't think i'm lying about this. some of the times i used ai for translation, it probably escaped my attention that ai didn't translate exactly what i said. by writing in its own style, it didn't translate exactly what i wrote, and this is one of the reasons why it shows up as “100% ai written” in the detectors.

We're already having some few issues on this thread - non- native English posters are getting nailed for using AI to correct their sentences and grammar to native standard..

no, i can read and understand english easily except for very extreme limits. sometimes there are problems when i write it down, but i have improved in that too compared to my early days.

what i usually do is to read and understand the latest comments on topics i'm interested in, then write a reply in my head in turkish and translate the sentences into english. it's easier than writing directly in english.

Times have changed. I had used Grammarly once or twice and from my understanding, it has now incorporated AI functions that don't simply correct your grammar mistakes, but completely alter your text. This is also not okay by any means, at least that's how I see it. Quilbot also has similar functions, but you don't have to use them, it's up to you. Now, I haven't used Grammarly recently so I can't judge without being completely sure, but from my understanding, the user in question knowingly used this function. I personally don't think it's fair for the other forum users and for the forums itself.

Shishir99, I meant the same thing as you did. I only use it when writing big posts only to fix grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, punctuations marks but never to do any paraphrase or change my writing style. I'm guessing a lot of people does something similar as us. For smaller posts, such as this, I don't think any tools are needed. But when it comes to bigger content, tools like grammerly comes in handy to spot small to smaller mistakes.

But now that they integrated AI in their system. It's better if we stopped using them, to avoid unnecessary drama!

Btw, quilbot is similar to grammerly.
