Newcastle - Liverpool is another game to be played on this week... It might be seen as a tough game for Arne Slot's students. However Newcastle lacks an important player like Isak.

You know he doesn't want to play there anymore. Liverpool seemed to have problems with defending but still started the season quite productively. I expect Salah to make a bigger score contribution this time.

Newcastle performance won't really be that good without Isaak playing at the front line. His performance at the front line gives defenders challenge especially with his moves. However Liverpool defense seems not to be that good so if Newcastle should put in there best they may  end up surprising so many people. Salah is really a great player and I believe he is going to perform wonders in this match. Therefore I can really say for sure how the match is going to end but am anticipating goals from both teams.

Isak is a key player for Newcastle, influential in building attacks and scoring goals. Of course Newcastle doesn't want to let Isak go, even though the player no longer wants to stay. It's understandable that Newcastle wouldn't want to let him go as they don't have a suitable replacement.

So this situation will undoubtedly weaken Newcastle attack. Even though Liverpool defense is weak this won't have much of an impact as Newcastle attacks won't pose a threat. Isak absence will certainly be an advantage for Liverpool, as they are facing a difficult situation due to Isak's condition. Considering the current condition of both teams, betting on a Liverpool win would be a better bet. And when a team is having problems with a player in this case Isak it will also have a significant impact on their performance against Liverpool.

I agree with this one, but it would be nice if the OP closed this thread and started a new one, specifically for the 2025-2026 season.

Of course, it's a game worth looking forward to this week, but it last game for Week 2. There's a more interesting match between Manchester City vs Tottenham and I think it'll be a very difficult match for both teams. Manchester City has secured three points from the opening match, and Tottenham have the same, but Manchester City has a high probability of winning at home.

It was actually a disappointment from Nottingham Forest last season. They started their season with high spirit raising the hope of their fans and fumble towards the end of the season throwing away their chances to play in the champions league. They behaved like Arsenal last season and pay the optimum price. It wasn't bad finishing at that position initially but the impression they showcase at the start of the season made us believe they could do better. Likewise, I don't expect anything short from them this season other than doing better than last season.

While somewhat disappointing, this represents a significant improvement over the previous season, when they narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship. Last season, they were one of the teams that showed significant improvement, and this season they must improve their performance, not only by impressing in the Premier League but also in the UEFA Europa League. They are strong contenders for the UEFA Europa League. Nottingham Forest must secure a place in next season's Champions League, whether through domestic or European competition.

Looking at todays match between wast-Ham vs Chelsea is going to be a wonderful competition within both teams because west-Ham lost to Sunderland in the first leg at way and why Chelsea also draw first leg to Crystal Palace, so the both teams is going to play what they no in this match, but I'm seeing that Chelsea is in a better position of dominating the match at west-Ham home over 1.5 and above to secured their first winning in the priemer league 2025/2026 season, since it is only match on Friday in the premier League and Chelsea has numerous of fans all over the world, so i believe that all  Chelsea players and fans is going to use their to win to start the weekend.

I placed the bet on Chelsea to win against West Ham, gambling is always about luck (what if West Ham do the unthinkable), but aside luck aspect, Chelsea are the better side to win tonight. West Ham United lost their first Premier League game against a team coming from the relegated zone. It's a fair judgment to book Chelsea based on superiority over West Ham, West Ham fans will be scared to bet on their fan club.

All i want is for Chelsea to win tonight, 2 goals from Chelsea, and my bet for the day is a success.

Their first round game against Crystal Palace was a bit disappointing, as they only managed to earn one point at home, but today Chelsea is making up for that as they have a comfy lead over West Ham of 3-1. There's still plenty of time to go, but I can't imagine West Ham will be able to take the win away from the Blues.
Funnily, they were more dominant against Crystal Palace, but just couldn't convert. Tonight, despite conceding an early goal (in the 6th minute), they responded with 3 of their own. If they don't start celebrating too soon, they will go home with 3 points. A much-needed win if they want to dream of winning the league, as the competition will be even higher than in the prior year, considering all the transfer money spent by their rivals.

It’s funny how his position has been overtaken by other young players tho Chelsea kept their word when they said they won’t sign any one older than Jackson.

It's called for celebration but this game doesn't move me because the Blues have always been in proper position to win Westham United because this particular side have started the season on a wrong path and losing to Sunderland 3nil and Chelsea tonight, 5-1. It’s a game that I expected Chelsea to win, Because if you watched West Ham last game against Sunderland who are a newly promoted team in the Premier League, beating West Ham 3 goals to nothing, this West Ham team is a very boring team to watch and they lacked ambition, they didn’t strengthen their team during the transfer window, and if they didn’t start trying to get players into the club, and trying to strengthen the team I see them getting relegated and they will continue to be beaten each and every week that passes in the Premier League, I must say it wasn’t an impressive performance from Chelsea they only meet a team that isn’t good enough. I don’t know what Maresca was thinking when he said they won’t be signing another striker. Seriously Jackson poor performance affected Chelsea performance last season, Chelsea do dominate matches, they do create chances, but the only problem which they were having last season was that they don’t have striker which will be able to convert those chances which they had into goals.

Some strikers have been signed by Chelsea, and they already planning to sell Jackson which they were planning to keep as there future project. If Chelsea didn’t sign new strikers this season, then I won’t even be expecting anything from them, they might not even be qualifying for the champions league, because Jackson performance keeps on getting worst. A player that’s  suppose to be improving is now getting worst, i don’t know the reason why Jackson was receiving red card in most matches towards the ending of the season.

The Everton Vs Leeds game is heading towards full time draw game as I had earlier anticipated that it will happen. Most Monday night games always ends in a draw or a narrow 1 - 0 win in some cases. I will not be surprised if it ends in 0 - 0 or a 1 - 0 score line.

What an excellent performance from Leeds in the weekend to start their premier league campaign and return. They totally dominated Everton in a shocking fashion recording 21 shots to 7, they deserved to win by a better margin but were unable to convert most chances created and ended the game in a 1:0 victory. Important point gained but they need to work better on their finishing for the next games.

This leed United first leg game reminded me of one of those seasons that leed hard a favorable season as their started up so well and were able to mentain that trend till almost the end of that season before it becomes impossible to go further and the ended up in the top 5 this made a lot of football fans to build trust to the point that leed United was the choice of most sport bettors that time.

Enzo Maresca saying Chelsea wouldn’t sign another striker then was just simply a way of trying to support Jackson then and not throw under the bus, many managers do this to help boost the striker confidence and probably see if it will help the striker back to their best but I am sure it was Enzo Maresca that actually requested another striker, it was seriously clear that Jackson wasn’t fit to lead Chelsea attack alone and it was the reason why he was dropped in games last season due to his performance. This season the signing of Other strikers most especially Joao Pedro has actually made it clear where there missing piece is.

Although Chelsea seems to be complete with this new strikers I think Chelsea in the long run will have a defense problem, currently I don’t actually rate their two center backs high and it got worse after Collwill injury. For now the team is not showing signings of having this problem because of the brilliance back up that Caicedo is providing  at the defensive midfield position, should Caicedo gets injured today Chelsea will have to suffer more.

Really? I'm hearing about this transfer news just now.    I agree Jackson and Emery must have a good relationship from there. I understand the reason behind he wants him.

However here is the thing. They signed a CF named Guessand from Nice two weeks ago. They spent 30 million euros for the fee. Emery uses 4-2-3-1 formation. What will he do with 3 CFs then?

Definitely, before the match started, it was thought that the Blues might be able to bring a positive result in this match, so I think togetherness was the key to the recent win against West Ham.
