Has anyone watched the Champions League game between Liverpool and Galatasaray (Liverpool lost 1-0). I missed it and am waiting for decent highlights.
What went wrong? Stats (other than goals) are showing Liverpool had some advantage, but I expected a different result as I considered Liverpool to be a few levels above Galatasaray. Was it just bad luck or something else?

Same here i didn't watch the liverpool match I was busy watching chelsea vs benfica match at the same time tracking liverpool's match, I was so disappointed at liverpool imagine galatasaray defeating liverpool in a row. I don't think if this is a bad luck Because liverpool did not perform well, I think thier previous lose is still affecting them seriously Because I never imagined that liverpool will lose against galatasaray. Though if you look at thier previous meeting you will see that galatasaray have more wining probability than liverpool yet I still went ahead to bet liverpool hoping that they're going to win this time but no Way.

The champions League game today was something else cause after Frankfurt defeated Galatasaray I least expected Liverpool to lose despite playing from away but they disappointed me as they were poor in performance, they had the opportunity to get back into the game but the players were too weak in their performance even when they were dominating the game they couldn't create good chances to equalize the goal. Galatasaray played well especially Victor Osimhen who was a threat to Liverpool defense and the goal scorer of the game.

I'm as surprised and disappointed with Liverpool's result against Galatasaray yesterday as you are, because I never expected Liverpool would draw against Galatasaray; talk more of losing to Galatasaray.  History has it that Liverpool has never won any match in Turkey, and I believe that played a part in Liverpool's defeat yesterday. Liverpool's defense couldn't handle Victor Osimhen, and I believe it was because Victor Osimhen played for Galatasaray yesterday that made Galatasaray defeat Liverpool.

Well to me I think this sentiment here seems to be that the manager, Amorim, should be held accountable for the team's performance, not just the results, but for not taking responsibility and protecting his players. From my perspective suggestion well that a manager's role extends beyond just winning games, but also includes leadership and team management.

Not taking ownership of the team's struggles and instead, putting players in difficult situations, falling to shield players from criticism and pressure, potentially affecting their morale and performance.

I agree with you that Amorim feels his strategy is right, but the conditions and characteristics of the players are not yet suitable. Amorim has gone too far and imposed himself on this club. The coach is fully responsible for the club's performance, and when Amorim denies this and blames the players, it is time for him to pack his bags and leave.

I think Liverpool will lose points against Chelsea away too this weekend. It is always difficult for them at Stamford Bridge actually. Especially in the Premier League...

Let's have a look at their last a few head-to-heads there... Liverpool couldn't beat them away in their last 4 league games. 3 draws and a loss.

Chelsea are deprived of Palmer though but I still think they will fight hard. Double chance on Chelsea @1.63 seems really nice!

As it stands now the both of them are going to have an unforseen results in that match, though I will admit that is just recently Liverpool has this we are seeing but everything usually starts from somewhere. On the note that Stanford bridge is there next place should be the beginning of fear of winning on the Liverpool because the blues are always twice of what they are aways on there own stadium so Liverpool is going to see a fast energy in those players, this things are not to favour Chelsea but just how it is but still is also not a match Liverpool cannot win because the expectance of charge is very necessary for them so that they cannot loss three times on a role as two are already down.

Another disaster performance by Florian Wirt yesterday on the Champions League match and he is starting to look pretty bad, it seems like Fernando Torres on Chelsea, maybe his head is starting to betray him and that is the worst nightmare for a player, i dont know how much time Slot can hold him in the starters team.

Liverpool had another disappointing game tonight. Their next match against my team Chelsea might be a turning point for them, getting back to their winning ways. Our defense is far from it best and their fearsome attacks won't go easy on us in order capitalise on our silly mistakes most especially.

Liverpool FC and  Galatasaray both played well but Liverpool was ahead in terms of attack. Liverpool could not score a goal even though they had a 1v1 in the first half, and Galatasaray also could not score a goal even though they had a 1v1 in the second half. This is a sad thing for both of them. But after scoring a goal in the penalty shootout, Galatasaray  played a lot of defensively. I hope Liverpool will fight Chelsea in the next match and it will be a more exciting match.

Unfortunately Chelsea likely will suffer from this. I don't trust my team to be able to withstand Liverpool attack, is not like we have been able to  get a win against them in years now.

Our defense is weakened and Palmer won't even be available, hopefully we don't get another red card like we have had in our previous games.

I understand confused you fell, most especially when a team like Liverpool, with their reputation and big players,fails to dominate well in a match they were widely expected to win. Tho football is a game that's unpredictable, odds don’t always reflect or go as predicted. So many things have contributed to Liverpool loss this season, and it's Will continue making them fall behind if they don't work on it, cases like, when they underestimate their opponent, you see team like Galatasaray are often underated, expecially when matching in a ball game with Liverpool, but after looking at the last game they have proven so many people wrong, and where they are also getting it wrong is also in the aspect of mental complacency, because most of this top team loose focus just because they feel they have won on paper already, and on that game day reality ends up with them.

We will see till then; no one will say because Liverpool lost their match against Galatasaray they will do the same against Chelsea. The fact is that Liverpool really surprised us yesterday. Some people don’t really understand the fact that with football you can’t predict and expect it to go as predicted all the time. Because even the players can’t give assurance that they will win, so why would I bet on a team and expect to win every time?

I think that is wrong. Some people always want them to always win. I understand Liverpool surprised yesterday, but that is football, and we can’t judge them just because they lost one match against Galatasaray yesterday. Let’s see if they will do the same before we start criticising them or saying they are not in good form.

Liverpool is definitely looking like they are facing some trouble and if they lose this momentum that could be bad for their future. I ma not saying they will keep on losing for a long time, but it should be considered why this should be looking like a trouble because even if they win now with their next game, then it is not going to be that crazy, because the doubt is now in their mind and to beat that, they have to actually win many games in a row so that their mind would get better.

But so far, they barely won some games by luck on last minutes, and then lost two in a row, so doubt is in their mind now. I think we should not be considering them as powerful as we think, they are not really looking that great at the moment.

Don't be surprised when they eventually lose the next against Chelsea. Too many people talk about the defence but I think it's something to do with the midfield. And Arne Slot is slowing displacing Jurgen Klopp players and his style likewise infusing his own set of players and  style 9f play because why on earth was Mo Salah benched? I need a good explanation for that and I've checked for his pre match and  post match conference talks and I've seen nothing. Nothing special agreed. They had a penalty and utilised it well

These two consecutive defeats prove that Liverpool is not perfect and has weaknesses. This means they have gaps that Chelsea could exploit. Both of these teams are currently in an unstable position. In other words, they have problems that other teams can take advantage of. So let's see who will win. Statistically, Liverpool should indeed be favored. They have made many sensational transfers, although so far we haven’t seen these transfers perform at their maximum. In addition, 2 Liverpool players are currently injured, meaning they will miss 2 important players: Alisson Becker and Ekitike. It's hard to predict today.

Yes I also think Stamford Bridge is a tough ground for Liverpool, they haven't played very well at home in the back to back (H2H) matches. From what I understand from their last four league away games, yes Chelsea's attack is a bit sluggish in the absence of Cole Palmer, but on the other hand Liverpool are also weakened by losing their goalkeeper Alisson. All in all, the match could be balanced, Chelsea could go in as favourites but there is a risk. I would say a double chance on Chelsea at around 1.63 would be reasonable yeah however dont stake too much on it, size smaller than usual. rather i would like to go 'Chelsea or Draw'/DNB options could also be seen. I think I like the fact that people are confused about what is wrong with Liverpool, after loosing two games, that shows that no team is superior to be beaten no matter how good they are, there is now so many uncertainty surrounding Liverpool performance, and the spotlight would be off from them, the doubts is quite good as well for the bookmakers, When Real Madrid lost to Athletico Madrid so many questions were being asked, just like question are being asked about Liverpool if they can really defeat Chelsea because it seems like they are having a bad season already, But right now Arsenal looks like a complete team, and are favorites to win the English Premier League.

The opening game of the week is Bournemouth - Fulham.

First of all, the home side has started the season quite well. Maybe they got 2 draws recently but this is a game to start winning again honestly. They beat Fulham home last season and Semenyo scored their only goal.

Considering that, I might make a single bet on one of the 2 options:

- Bournemouth win @1.90

- Semenyo to score @2.90

Maybe I might look for some more excitement by choosing the 2nd one.    Semenyo is in a great form these days...

What you are saying is very true, Liverpool might have lost their past two games but that doesn't mean that they can be ran over by Chelsea that is even in a worst form than they are, I wouldn't be betting on this game because it looks tricky to predict, but judging by their head too head record in their last five meetings, it seems like Liverpool have the upper hand since they have win three and Chelsea have won only once, but let's be assured of a very interesting and entertaining encounter between this two teams.

Why pushing blame on Liverpool without looking at what they went through in that match. The way the fans coordinated noise and making fire work isn't something that should be allow under the federation of football, it was obvious how they were chanting and making noise, they were distracting Liverpool players when it was there turn to make moves, this happen alot in matches when opponents host games and are afraid of losing to away team.

This doesn't change anything for Galatasaray, you can't win by cheating because they have matches that are away. If they can't use their skills properly to win any game, there is no way they arr going to advance to the next knockout stage. Regardless of that match outcome, Liverpool is better than some team, with more 8 matches they can do the unthinkable to advance to the next stage, play off or knockout. It's possible that Galatasaray and Liverpool might meet again since they have same point now.
