Because they sold many star players recent years and even let Ten Hag moved to Manchester United. These big changes are enough to harm quality of Ajax Amsterdam and if they can not have enough good youth players from their Academy, they will have troubles. After a generation of De Beek, De Ligt, Frankie De Jong, Ziyech, Onana, Antony and some other players, recent years Ajax failed to grow up other young players to carry out those positions left by sold star players. I have same opinion as yours as it regards Liverpool winning the Europa this season, I really think people should take a chill pill on how the all exaggerate that Liverpool will definitely win the Europa this season, this is football and at such a anything can happen at anytime regardless of how well a team have been.

I have foreseen Leverkusen to be a very strong opposition to the chances of Liverpool turning out the winners of the Europa this season. Moreover they are just at the group stages of the Europa and yet to get pass the second stage so taking hope high enough as it regards foreseeing Liverpool to be the winners will be too fast, let's wait awhile probably mid the second stage of the Europa after the teams from the UCL have joined them, then We could tell for sure if Liverpool truly posseses the ability to be crowded the winners of the Europa by the end of this season.
