I was really surprised by Mourinho's sacking. I mean he's actually a great coach. I think Roma will bring in a better coach. But it turns out they brought in De Rossi. I'm not disparaging De Rossi but I think the Roma board was hasty with this decision. They are really betting on Roma's future. I agree with you that soon Roma will leave UEL. But I think it looks like they want to focus on Serie A and improve the squad for next season. I don't think they are targeting anything this season.

Even though Roma performance in Serie A is not as consistent as expected, Mourinho influence is still very big when Roma plays in European competitions. In essence, the selection of Daniele De Rossi although only as a temporary replacement coach until the end of the season but still, AS Roma still needs a qualified coach to be able to restore its position in Serie A and of course, to get good results also in the Europa League. Roma really made a poor decision on axing Jose; because I don’t think he was in any case the problem of the team. Well for a coach to attain success he needs to make crucial signings and probably this was what he lacked. He achieved success with them in his first season and in the second, took them to an European final; this alone is huge and worthy of commendation. Now they’ve gotten there old player back to head the team; funny because I think he won’t even be able to achieve half of what Jose has achieved in this team.

I also think so, there is almost no big possibility for Roma to go further like last season or even become Europa League champions this season after they fired Jose Mourinho, that's a big mistake in my opinion.
For now, we are looking at the ones with the greatest potential to become champions, perhaps Liverpool, Leverkusen and AC Milan. If there are no big surprises that happen then these 3 teams have a larger percentage compared to the other teams.

Roma sacking Jose Mourinho at this critical stage of the Europa League competition is very unfortunate considering his tactical experience in European competitions and now AS Roma may not really go any further with Danielle de Rossi because his coaching experience cannot really be measured with that of Jose Mourinho so by AS Roma's management sacking Jose Mourinho is like jeopardizing their Europa league title hopes this season so definitely, I don't see Roma going far in the competition.
