That's true and im also concerning it. It doesn't mean i dislike him but his experience in coaching a club was very minimal. It makes him has become a very wrong choice by roma's management. The club can do better but im doubting it. It seems like that de rossi was not also need expensive contract.
It makes roma was hiring him as a new coach. No doubt that this team was a very poor team that is very stingy at the same time. The club is not even having the willingness to hire a good coach to replace mourinho's position.

For Daniele De Rossi this is his first experience to playing at Europa League as a manager and i feel pesimistic he can able to bringing Roma to overcomes Feyenoord because if we see from the performance during this season obviously Feyenoord is much better than Roma because at Eredivisie Feyenoord can able to occupy 2nd place so Daniele De Rossi has hard job to improved Roma performance but the match against Feyenoord will be held in February and before this match Roma will at least go through 4 matches in Serie A and we can see the results of those matches as the indicator Roma under De Rossi because if they can gets positive results from those matches then there is a chance for Roma to beat Feyenoord

It was still only an assumption, but the result may be different. I have seen so many coaches were good when they were still players like rooney, gerrard, gattuso and many more. None of them have a passion to become good coaches. They were always bringing their clubs to another disaster. Yes, it true that Roma doesn't look strong in serie A, but if Roma can compete at UEL under Mourinho coaching, there will definitely be changes, like in the case of Sevilla, which wasn't very good last season but was successful getting the title at UEL.
Maybe this is very wise decision for Jose Mourinho because the bad things that Roma has experienced lately are very sad because Mourinho has had negative impact from very bad public criticism, whereas this is not Mourinho fault but purely because Roma does not have stable finances so every time mourinho targets player what he wants for the management to refuse to spend too much money.

There's a big difference between Xabi Alonso and De Rossi.

Xabi Alonso played in 4 top teams, while De Rossi only one.
Xabi Alonso brought Real Sociedad B from Primera Federación to La Liga2, while De Rossi make SPAL 2013's ranks go lower before he was joined.

They should have just allowed Mourinho to end the season because who knows if before the end of the season, Roma will bounce back under his management. The "Third Season Effect " keeps hunting Jose Mourinho and it's actually not good to see again. He really needs to work on himself and the reason behind his continuous poor performance in the third season of the clubs he manages. I was really surprised by Mourinho's sacking. I mean he's actually a great coach. I think Roma will bring in a better coach. But it turns out they brought in De Rossi. I didn't expect AS Roma's decision this time really fired Mourinho, who in fact has had a big influence on Roma, even though they haven't achieved the expected results, namely competing in the UCL but at least with Mourinho, AS Roma has wons the European Conference title and reached the final of the European League even though they failed to win trophy. In essence, the selection of Daniele De Rossi although only as a temporary replacement coach until the end of the season but still, AS Roma still needs a qualified coach to be able to restore its position in Serie A and of course, to get good results also in the Europa League. Roma currently have players who are still quite good, it's just that for the problem of changing coaches this will definitely cause a new transition from differences in schemes and plans from Mou to De Rosi.
