AS Roma isn't a bad team, but they are not strong enough to win Europa league. You don't need to call As Roma as a joke team, I think it is untrue. You are right, AS Roma is not a strong team and when they are favored and are in sixth place as the favorite team in the European league, it could be because their competitors are from a league ranked below Serie A.

I personally took liverpool as my favorite team to win the competition. It's caused by the competition is just getting even stricter than before. Roma can't keep up with the improvements being made by its competitors in europa league.
This is my main reason to drop roma from favorite club to win europa league this season. Rossi is not having experience in european competition too.

Yes, you are right, Mourinho has almost never failed in managing any club as far I know Mourinho has always succeeded in giving the best for the club he manages, even though he didn't get a trophy in the Champions League but was able to get satisfactory results in the UEL or at least was able to get a ticket to the Champions League or UEL.

AS Roma have shown progress since Jose Mourinho became their coach and last season they managed to get to the final despite failing to become champions. From what I see, it's not too bad because even though he was fired, Jose Mourinho has the attraction of any team to recruit him. His success in managing several teams made his name one of the famous coaches, but in the previous few seasons the name Jose Mourinho seemed to no longer be heard among the best coaches because of the problem of not being able to bring his team to become champions

De Rossi has not been proven as a coach and many may doubt his abilities because he talks about his experience and is not as good as Jose Mourinho. I don't think AS Roma are favorites to win the title this season because if you look at Liverpool and Leverkusen they are much more consistent and convincing. The inclusion of AS Roma on the list does not reflect the reality of what is happening to them this season, whether in the league or in the European league.

Roma hype in the race for the Europa League trophy when there is Mourinho? De Rossi’s era has started already at Roma and kudos he’s started on a winning note but the truth is that the club’s he has played are teams that are in disarray and wouldn’t pose much a threat. Still he got the win and has risen them to 5th in the Serie A standings and for this we must give him credits. He's now trying to prove his critics wrong and that he's capable of replacing Mourinho.

As it stands, the team would have to find a major focus and personally, I'd suggest that they put in more strength to the UEL as they've been able to gain grounds in the EPL even if not solid as it ought to considering the intensity of the league. The EPL is competitive too and so focus should be put in it but the UEL trophy to me would actually have more worth than the EPL.

 The UEL journey may not necessarily be stressful for them as Liverpool tends to be better than the teams in the tournament, their tough counterpart will definitely be Leverkusen because they've had more or less same domestic league results as Liverpool and the team is everly eager to strive to win games and they're aiming for the trophy. I also think that it is not a problem because what the AS Roma team is targeting is to become UEL champions this year.  Now they’ll play Inter Milan and then Feynoord and this is where the heat for De Rossi begins; I don’t have any hopes of him having anything in these matches more especially as Inter are on a title chase and wouldn’t want any bad result to dent their chances, he could probably give Feynoord a shocker which I have less hope on.
