Look at Neymar for example, he has been known as a player who could have been one of the greatest ever, and because of his injuries he is now at Saudi Arabia, not even playing there, at a young age.

I agree that it makes a huge difference for the whole career. Imagine any of the greatest players of all times to have missed 50% of their games. They would have never won any individual awards.
