in 24 btc whas the law but also a tranding engine problem...duplicate transactions...some people got duble of the real balance exploiting the bug...
but you must konw that 24 btc fees was 0 and the gay manage to return all the assets (btc i mean)
in 50btc they have fees and the normal thing from they is to resolve the problem and after that give back our btc.
i'm willing to accept 1-2 months of waiting...
they made a lot of money from our mining hardware and i think they have a very big cold walet somewhere.

But this is a very different case. You can't compare 24 BTC with 50BTC. 24 BTC were closed down by law, not by hackers. An they were Responding. 50 BTC is not responding or doing anything.

But you gave me a bit hope, that everything will get fine.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I will accept 1-2 months of waiting, too. If they would reply any support question, give here an update or something else. If you hear something from
Them, there would be no problem. I can live too with a solution to pay now only a part of 50 % or so. But there is nothing what happened. That's the main problem.

A small Tip is welcome everytime Wink

well, to be fair there was an update on 10.28 and also someone posted support answers here so it's not entirely bad. But they definitely could communicate more...

Agreed, they could alleviate 95% of the anxiety of their client base if they would just communicate. State their plan and goals. List what has been found, what has been fixed, what needs to be fixed, and the time frame in which they believe that will be accomplished. Then give at least weekly updates on the situation, even if it is to say they are still working on it. It's not that hard to give a statement. They don't even have to answer questions, just give a statement. Lips sealed

Maybe they are actually fixing things and recoding a lot of the site....And since they already released a statement in October stating what happened and what they are doing to fix it, it wouldn't surprise me if they are just ignoring everyone while trying to fix the website. If they wanted to run off with the money I dont see them disabling site functionalities and freezing accounts.. They would probably just empty the accounts and be out.

Did

www.50BTC.com see http://www.bitcoinx.com/ pie chart

die and become

www.GHash.io see http://bitcoincharts.com/bitcoin/ pie chart

It says it's a private pool now! Shocked

I left in the summer and used Bitminter instead after daily payments started going missing or delayed, it's never a good sign.

It's a shame to see the Bitcoin network being concentrated into fewer and fewer hands. Eventually some group is going to break the 51% an kill it.

i'm pretty sure ghash.io is totally seperate from 50btc, and has existed well before 50btc began it;'s trouble.

i don't post much, but this space for rent.

Not holding my breath for what I have left their either.  It's not much, but as the price spikes, it pinches.

Also, who the hell is the 2.029Gh still mining there?

I'm having no issue connecting to the site and viewing my BTC held hostage....

Maybe its a regional failure?

My miners still have 50btc as a third pool in case the first two fail. Could be someone like that.

Same here, I can not log in to my account. I wrote to their email and received no response.
Password reset did help, however. Yet still, my account has invalid balance...
