Slush Pool, too?!

Slush is working at the moment, but did have some website 503s a few hours ago (didn't affect mining); my miners have currently failed-over to it from BTC Guild and 50BTC. But you can probably expect it to be seriously attacked at some point. The attackers seem to be working their way through the popular pools. Make sure you have a good failover strategy.

There is no need to see the pools luck, they pay for every share and take a fee.

They take on all of the variance.

We have two news today:

Firstly, due to constantly increasing of network hashrate, we set the minimal difficulty to 4. It will reduce network traffic and will not affect users earnings.

Secondly, getwork moves to a dedicated server. If you want to use getwork protocol, you should set

From October 18th the following servers will use only stratum protocol:
pool.50btc.com
pool-de.50btc.com
pool-us.50btc.com
pool-ru.50btc.com

This servers will be available for miners who use getwork protocol:
gw.50btc.com
pool2.50btc.com
pool80.50btc.com

Best regards, 50BTC.com team!

Perhaps you should update your website to list stratum instructions?

So, i'm probably nuts, but:

Yesterday and today, I've had trouble getting connected to the pool. Using pool.50btc.com, it seems it'll attempt to connect then crash my bfgminer instead of failing over to pool2. (which i am clearly needing to change so both are stratum.) if i connect to pool2 direct, it seems ok until the inevitable stability problems lately cause it to fail over and crash. I've gone back to Oz coin temporarily until I can fix this.

Any ideas?

i don't post much, but this space for rent.

BitMine AG changes the shipment dates of 28nm miners that were ordered after October 17, and refuses to product miners with 55nm chips!

We hasten to announce that after 17 October, all the 28nm CoinCraft miners orders, will be shipped from the manufacturer in January 2014, due to increase of the number of orders. If you have paid the orders before 17 October, the delivery dates will be the same.

Please note that the manufacturer has cancelled the 55nm miners production. Preorders for these devices were taken without prepayment. The first batch showed poor performance in tests.

Please keep in mind that on 50BTC you can order 28 nm miners at the lowest prices with a free delivery (for the orders made before 31 October). Hurry up!

What port does the pool use for stratum? I see you update the stratum server, but never say which port.

This is a long shot, and I might be wrong but it may just possibly perhaps be something to do with....
