Some guys do not believe in taking days off.
I don’t take pills or days off… The only solution for me is to continue cracking the hell out of my neck and hoping I wake up feeling pain free tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll be good as new in no time. 100k,OgNasty,213,21700,2024-09-01Neck cracking sounds scary to me, but yet I agree that you can do range of motion type stretches with almost any muscles and joints that will likely help to loosen it up and keep it moving, promote circulation and range of motion... which seems like it would help it to heal itself. Over the past 7 months that we've been doing these pushups I have had pains in a lot of different parts, and some of the pains linger, yet other times the pains go away after a while. Stretching a bit does seem to help and also deep breathing too... and yeah I can decide wether to do fast or slow pushups and also change the intervals between pushup sets and the quantity of pushups per set. There is a lot of liberty, especially after our bodies are already used to doing pushups, and yeah, maybe the principle exceptions would be if the injury might be something that is more severe than just muscle and/or joint pain, and we should be able to determine the difference between the normal kinds of pains that come from merely exercising as compared to something that might be more serious.. like a broken bone, a torn ligament or even some kind of a repetitive stress injury, and if we are not sure about those kinds of things then yeah maybe we would need to either see a professional or maybe take a break.. yet I doubt that any of my various sorenesses over the past 7 months have been caused by injury rather than just building my bodies endurance, which constitutes building muscles, building joints and even building cardiovascular and respiratory endurance (a kind of overall endurance - getting used to such daily energy exertions). I have not taken any pain medications either, and I have not taken any days off. Sometimes I do modify the quantity of pushups per set or the number of sets per day based on either how I am feeling or other aspects of my schedule. I am not completely opposed to taking pain pills if I were to have some kind of pain that was not allowing me to get enough sleep, then I might take a pain pill (or some other kind of pain medicine, like cough medicine) to help me to sleep, and pain from pushups has not interfered with my sleep.. at least not in any kind of a way that I would consider to justify taking pain pills for it (at least so far in the carrying out of these pushups duties). Doing it and continuing it. 100k,CoinMin3r,96,7710,2024-09-02I’ve got myself an old man injury today. I guess I slept wrong last night and now my neck is all cranked. Still managed to wake up and do 50 push-ups but I need to be more careful how I sleep. Those old man injuries can be rough sometimes. I hope that neck pain is just a minor one and goes away after some time itself. I myself had such pains sometime after waking up & last for a whole day sometime. Almost good as new. Barely feeling it now and it isn’t stopping me from doing anything. I woke up and hit 50 push-ups without an issue. I’m sure by tomorrow morning I’ll be back to 100%. Hope all the US folks enjoy the holiday.

Back with my report l I'm late with a day but nevertheless i will drop it NMW. Today, I have 4 days of Push ups to drop, 3 from last week Pus completion. 1 from this week had total of (90 x 3) PUs last week in 3 sets for each day and 90 pushups for today making total of 360.. hahaha 360 perfect! I’ve got myself an old man injury today. I guess I slept wrong last night and now my neck is all cranked. Still managed to wake up and do 50 push-ups but I need to be more careful how I sleep. Those old man injuries can be rough sometimes. My neck hurts more from a night of sleep than my arms ever have from these 100 push-ups per day. Maybe I need to start doing daily neck exercises.

The painkillers I suggested is not for taking it while working out, I don't even like that but to help out while you rest to regain that energy to continue again and not forever. Is like you're nursing your wound thats when the painkillers comes in. At least you recognize that it is might not be good to take painkillers.
Yes of course, if you're working out is never advisable to take pain killers just because you have a little pain from the workout. That's where the endurance comes in to endure the pain and as you're doing it that way it shows you're doing something to the body. I’m totally against painkillers unless someone is literally unable to control their screams of pain. I’ve had major surgeries and not taken painkillers. I’ve seen so many people get addicted to them that I think you’re better off just being in pain or abusing them as recreational drugs. I think both are better options than relying on them to keep you pain free.
I get your point but you know the body has a limit of enduring pains and when that happens you have no choice than to go for it because you can let your body to be eaten by pains because you're avoiding addiction. As for the addiction is something you stand against and control, telling yourself that you're only taking it (painkillers) just for the pains and after that you're done. But some people can't have that determination and it becomes a problem and a heavy challenge to them, taking painkiller when is necessary isn't that bad and at the same time too much of everything is bad too, the bottom line in all these is control.

Whether working out or not painkiller is not as good as you believe because it could result to a serious medical challenge to your health if you are somebody that normally take it more often than the way it was supposed to be, however if they should explain the effects it has on our health you will not consider the chance of taking it, so perhaps why would somebody even take it when there are exercises that can help you to massage your bones or muscle, actually exercises is a secondary medication to our health because sometimes you can be feeling very weak or a bit sick but the moment you decided to engage on a little pushups you will see how relieve you will become because for me I'm now use to exercise to the extent that even if I forgot my normal time for exercise my body will always remind me.

I quite agree with you but what are you scared of brother? Addiction? If you don't have that self control I don't think you should even try it. I do have pains from playing football and some pains do come as a result of me making a mistake while exercising and I do take it to kill off the pains and ones I feel those pains no more I stop but whereby I see something different as a relief and I still go ahead then I'm inviting trouble that's where the addiction start trooping in and I can't end it easily. I'm not afraid of what it will do to me as long as I have my head intact, I know when to stop like I have to be in control of the drugs. Let's say taking painkiller is good at the same time it isn't, but I'll say is not good depending on who's taking it.

Day 215. I've noticed I've really started losing weight to the point where I look skinnier than I'd like to be. I'm not sure I've ever had this flat of a stomach in my life. A very strange side effect to doing a lot of push-ups (and some other exercises) that I wasn't really expecting to be honest. I had figured I would put on weight, but this is a wonderful problem to have. I'm giving myself the green light to eat as many bacon cheeseburgers and hot fudge sundaes as I can handle until I get back above 200lbs.

Consistent exercise like this requires consistent intake of protein and veggies. Taking those sure would help in gaining muscles if properly worked on. Flat tummy or Abs ?

I had actually done 100 push-ups the day before, but in 5 sets of 20. It only took about 30 minutes. I like to exercise in peace and quiet with no one to disturb my sets.
Now I am doing 2 sets of 25. Soon I'll be able to do 30 each.
I'm not really doing this for 100k though, so I guess this is just a side effect.

If you want all of your pushups to be included in the pushup table, then you should add up your total days and your total pushups, so from what you said in your post, it seems to me that the results of your pushup report should have had been 2,250.. And, yeah, you do not necessarily need to do pushups every day or even to submit an updated pushup report every day, but if you continue to provide pushup reports on a regular basis, then your results will be updated in the pushup table every time that you submit your updated pushup report, or at least DirtyKeyboard's pushup table script will draw from the latest of your pushup reports in order to update the pushups table.
