I think that’s one of the biggest challenges with crypto the market can move very quickly, and nobody can reliably predict the exact top or bottom. Personally, I wouldn’t rush into buying or selling based only on what the market is doing today. I’d look at the specific coin, its fundamentals, the current trend, and how much risk I’m comfortable taking. And for me If I'm investing, I’d probably consider buying gradually rather than putting everything in at once, and I’d have a clear exit plan instead of trying to perfectly time the market
Which coin are you looking at its fundamental before buying. There's nothing to check or look in any coin before buying so that, you don't end up buying worthless shitcoins. Bitcoin is what we are talking about and if you have taken your time to read from page to page, you will know that you don't need to think twice or do any research on any coin but bitcoin. This is because bitcoin wasn't created for a selfish purpose but to give humans financial freedom from third party control. Bitcoin is decentralised and gives you the opportunity to be your own bank which makes a lot of sense to me and it's beyond government control because it's censorship resistance. If you already have plans to invest when you have figured out your discretionary income just buy bitcoin and start your bitcoin investment immediately, because it's clear that you're a no coiner. You should also consider using DCA to grow your bitcoin stash overtime and build your emergency funds along side with your bitcoin investment. An exit plan shouldn't be what a no coiner is thinking before getting started because you shouldn't be thinking about profit in the beginning of your investment but how to stay focus and build your bitcoin investment overtime because bitcoin is a long term investment plan.

I agree that DCA is a great way to stay consistent, especially when you’re investing with a smaller amount. But I don’t think waiting for dips is necessarily a waste of time. A dip can be a good opportunity to buy more at a better price, especially when you already have cash set aside for it. For me, the best approach is a balance. keep accumulating through DCA, while also keeping some funds available to take advantage of significant dips. That way, you’re not completely sitting on the sidelines, but you’re also not ignoring good buying opportunities when they come
Are you saying people who are consistent with their Bitcoin investment are using small amount of money? Well that Is not true because investing in Bitcoin depends on our discretionary income, if someone has a big discretionary income definitely they will invest a better amount of money so take away that mentality that it is people that invest with small amount of money tends to be consistent. However, the amount we use in Bitcoin investment doesn't really matter as long as one is consistent and it is coming from discretionary. You are not understanding him will enough, he just saying what is right to say meaning that waiting for the dip is actually a waste of time that if an investor has any little amount of money instead of him waiting for the dip that he can start little using the dca method that No one knows the exact time the dip will definitely occur, he didn't say about using big money to invest , all he just saying is that no good investor can be waiting for the dip but when the dip finally occurred is a good opportunity to buy the dip not actually by waiting.

I think that even if you have little money, waiting for a price drop is unnecessary. Waiting is a waste of the opportunity to start. It's better to keep going without waiting for a drop, so we can continue investing in Bitcoin. Moreover, the DCA system is very supportive for all parties. If you only have a small amount of money, even with a small amount, you can make a purchase. Why wait for a price drop to start? Clearly, a small amount shouldn't deter us from starting to invest.

you can build your investment and emergency funds simultaneously. No doubt it’s very important an investor have an emergency fund.
Why should we give importance to emergency fund? Since we want to move towards a long-term investment goal, it is important for us to have an emergency fund. Yes, an investor can build his investment and emergency fund at the same time. If I say this from the very beginning for a new investor, then it should be said like this: an investor should first decide to invest, step by step And they are - Raise the necessary money for investment
- Save investment
- And emergency fund
If an investor is at the very initial stage of investing in Bitcoin, then he may think about how to start both together and which one he should give more priority to. Of these two, which one should he actually give more priority to. Of course, he can use his judgment in this regard. However, I would say to create an emergency fund as soon as you invest. Because when an investor starts his investment, he should also think about his emergency situation. An investor has 3 categories available, investment, savings, and enjoyment. So if an investor doesn't prioritize their investments and emergency fund, they may not be able to achieve either of these. And also you don’t need to have emergency funds set aside first before you start investing,
yess there is no rule that an investor has to set aside money for an emergency fund before investing, an investor can set aside money if he wants to if his cash flow management is good. But those who are not able to set aside such money can still think about an emergency fund after starting investing because there is no mandatory requirement to set aside money for an emergency fund in advance for investing. Your focus on the emergency funds description is confusing. Anyone investing in bitcoin likely needs to have at least enough back up funds to assure that he is not spending beyond his discretionary funds, and yeah, the more he builds his bitcoin holdings the more likely he needs to build up more back up funds in order to protect his bitcoin from being tapped into at a time that is of his own choosing. So beginner investors to bitcoin cannot be buying without any back up funds, otherwise they are trading/gambling rather than investment, and bitcoin seems to be an investment and not something to be trading/gambling with. I think financial security is very important in long-term investment, if there is no financial security, then there may be disruption in continuing long-term investment. If there is no cash flow along with a continuous investment, then suddenly a decision may have to be made to sell the investment if necessary, and if the investment is sold in the middle of the investment, then the continuity of that investment is lost, as a result of which the investor cannot invest with the same enthusiasm as before. I think that how much investment an investor has been able to deposit continuously, in addition to this, an important thing for the investor is how ready he is not to sell his investment in times of danger. Yes, the better the investor's backup fund or cash flow, the safer his investment will be. It is not that an old person will know all the rules, but the one who gives time to this forum and follows the right rules will be able to keep his Bitcoin holding for a long time in the future. You see, many people in this forum have invested in Bitcoin for a long time, but a few members follow the rules and the rest may not follow the rules completely. So not every person will be able to achieve success, a few people will achieve complete success, so at present if you follow DCA regularly weekly, then it will definitely be possible to keep your Bitcoin investment for a long time. And besides, you will form an emergency fund, only by following these strategies can you achieve success.
To be successful in investing in Bitcoin, investors should follow some more steps (although success is not guaranteed, but if you invest consistently for a long time in the right way, the chances of success increase a lot). You asked for weekly DCA, and you also mentioned an emergency fund. I want to add some more points to you. To invest, we first need to understand income and income and expenses. If an investor knows his discretionary income, then it will be easier for him to make investment decisions. Discretionary income makes investment decisions easier because this money is the money left over after meeting all the needs. So when an investor invests consistently with this money, he will not feel any pressure to invest later. Yes, an investor can start investing with a reliable part of his discretionary income at the beginning and he can increase the amount according to his position. If investors can make investment decisions according to this plan and maintain it for a long time (at least four to five years), then I think they will have a good chance of achieving success in investment.

The main point is that no one can decide the correct way to buy or sell. Even the pro or experienced investor face difficulties to chose but they still manages to earn due to their experience and strategies. Anyways experience and strategies can't save you from lose but will help to control much of your lose. Anyway the best time to buy is when the market goes down but don't be greedy to wait for the market to get more lower ( remember you should study about the market to get some information ). And sell when you think that markets is getting down.
Not to forget, an investor doesn't talk about lose when busy accumulating Bitcoin and their earning is not immediate or always, when loses and profit is always the talk and experience, that makes it clear that you are talking about trading. So don't generalize your view when talking about trading. Off course, a trader can't buy using DCA strategy, they wait for the dip before buying to enable their chances of immediate gain. And talking about decision on the correct way to buy Bitcoin and later saying that the best time to buy is during the dip is simply complication. If the best time to buy is when price falls that should be the correct way but NO!! because what you just pointed out only applies to traders not investors who can buy without regards to Bitcoin price.

That right, waiting for the Dip is just like procrastinating your investment. DCA just give you that conveniency when investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin have always been volatile and will always remain so, why then will anyone want to wait, a serious person who want to start investing will not see the Dip as an option because it could take forever to come. Some will say buying the Dip is a waste of time and that totally right. I feel the right thing to do when the Dip comes is to just take advantage of it. Invest with DCA and then when the dip comes try to get more discretionary income and buy more.

Ive been hearing about situations where someone buys a coin for a certain rate and not quite long after, the said coin drops in value, or someone sells his coin for a certain rate and then it appreciates just after. What's your take on this? Given the period we're in is it buy time or sell time?
for whether it’s buy time or sell time, I wouldn’t rush into either decision without looking at the current market conditions. The goal isn’t to catch every top or bottom; it’s to make informed decisions and manage your risk wisely. Stay patient, stay informed, and never let emotions control your investments.

If the best time to buy is when price falls that should be the correct way but NO!! because what you just pointed out only applies to traders not investors who can buy without regards to Bitcoin price. Long-term investment and short-term trading should not be viewed in the same perspective. Discussing the price of Bitcoin is not the same as trading. Being a long-term investor does not mean that he will not consider any price changes. Why a person wants to buy Bitcoin and what strategy he is following in making a buying decision. The main goal of a long-term investor is not to profit from daily price fluctuations. To build wealth over a long period of time. Although it is not necessary to change the decision immediately with every price drop. In the case of traders, their decisions depend a lot on the buying and selling prices. They try to make a profit from certain price fluctuations. Therefore, for them, the questions of when to sell and how much risk to take are important. If a trader thinks that the price will fall further, he can postpone buying. But if a long-term investor wants to accumulate Bitcoin regularly, then waiting for the price to drop every time his original plan may be disrupted. A long-term investor can also buy additional Bitcoin when the price drops. If he buys regularly according to his planned plan and buys more when he has the opportunity, then his long-term goal is also maintained. Buying deep is not a wrong strategy. But it is problematic to present waiting for the deep as the best method for everyone. When explaining the difference between investors and traders, there is no need to limit a strategy like buying deep to traders. The same strategy can be used by different people for different purposes. A trader can wait for the price to drop for short-term profits. An investor can take the opportunity to buy more at a low price in addition to his long-term accumulation plan. View the deep as a potential opportunity in your investment plan. Do not make it a prerequisite for starting investing or continuing to buy regularly.

This thread is about Bitcoin, if you look at every page and every person's comments, you will see that every person is talking about Bitcoin, so don't confuse anyone with the word crypto and don't put anyone at risk by telling them to invest in all the other currencies in the market. Crypto refers to all the currencies in the market, which is confusing even for a new person, so if you directly say Bitcoin, it will be much easier for them to understand and they will be able to protect themselves from investing in this fraudulent currency. A person does not need much to start investing in Bitcoin, but if a person is able to find a source of discretionary income, then he can start investing. After starting to invest, a person can gradually build his portfolio and at the same time take all the necessary measures to protect his holdings, such as an emergency fund

Obviously any investor who is more concerned about profit is clearly a trader in disguise. An investor should know that their gains is not immediate or within a short period so there's really no need to be bothered about it. The decision about buying or selling is already well explained here so saying no one can decide the correct way to buy or sell is wrong. There's no difficulty in buying when you have your discretionary income available, all that's needed is to buy using any of the strategies but I will suggest using DCA strategy to invest. As for selling, an investor shouldn't be think of selling until when they have reached their target and at an over accumulation stage. There's no guarantee in Bitcoin investment but long term holding helps to preserve your assets for future benefits.

I think that’s one of the biggest challenges with crypto timing the market perfectly is almost impossible. Someone can buy thinking they got a good price, only to see it dip shortly after, while someone else sells and watches it rise right after. That’s why I don’t think it’s wise to make decisions based purely on short-term movements. For me, I’d rather look at the bigger picture and use a disciplined strategy. If the price dips and the fundamentals still make sense, buying gradually can be a good way to take advantage of lower prices instead of trying to guess the exact bottom. At the same time, I wouldn’t blindly say “buy” or “sell” without considering the current price, risk, and how long you’re planning to hold.

Just get a fucking plan and stick to it long term, but if you decide to play with your portfolio and do short-term trades to increase your earnings, then that's on you too, because, like what is said yeah almost all the time, that's the same thing as gambling, and you can never get it right with gambling, so you can just kiss your portfolio bye-bye. I don't particularly agree when people say interest shouldn't be what drives anyone to invest although I get the point but basically anyone and everyone who's in for Bitcoin investments aim at getting interest even if it's at long term interval.

Experience and good strategies don’t eliminate losses, but they can help you manage risk, avoid emotional decisions, and limit how much you lose. I also think buying during a dip can be a good opportunity, but it’s important not to assume every dip is the bottom. Sometimes the price keeps falling, so it’s better to have a plan rather than putting everything in at once. DCA can help with that by spreading purchases over time. And when it comes to selling, it’s better to have a clear target and risk management plan instead of selling purely because of fear when the market starts dropping. At the end of the day, research, patience, and discipline are just as important as timing the market.

A guy can buy bitcoin aggressively and still handle their financial problems without pressuring themselves. It’s not something that everyone can do, since our source of income is not the same. Buying aggressively is when someone decides to buy which large amount instead of buying small small. Let assume that a guy is buying with $50 weekly, and decide to buy $500 or more weekly with the hope that the price will increase soon
Buying aggressively isn't what you described, it's increasing the proportion of your discretionary income that you put into buying Bitcoin. Someone might decide to buy with large amounts and exceed his discretionary income, such a person is buying over aggressively and it's heavily discouraged. Let's say your discretionary income is $150 weekly and you decide to increase your buying amounts from $50 to $80, you're being aggressive. While you decide to increase your aggressiveness within available discretionary income, ensure you are not neglecting building your emergency fund so that you'll not be tapping into your portfolio when emergency situations arrives, it's good to give building your emergency fund a good priority, but not more priority than your Bitcoin investment

Your ideal seems to be more of trading than investment, because a true Bitcoin investor that is only thinking of long term, has no business using strategies or managing losses, what such investor should care more about is how to build a valuable stash of Bitcoin that can position him in an advantageous position in the future when Bitcoin has risen to a million dollars. . At the end of the day, research, patience, and discipline are just as important as timing the market.
So you are trying to say that timing the market is very important? Only this your statement here shows that you are not learning or you think that you are talking about trading? This is an investment thread, so it's better to take your trading talk elsewhere.
