I don’t believe the big clubs take the League Cup very seriously. In yesterday’s match between Fleetwood and Arsenal, Arsenal was eliminated from the tournament following a penalty shootout.
It came as a surprise that Arsenal was knocked out by a team from the second tier. Had the Arsenal players been more motivated, they might have been the ones to advance to the next round.

Every team in England take all the competition in the league very seriously the only mistakes most of the big teams make is to look down on the teams from the second division whenever they play against them that is what cost Arsenal the game yesterday.Fleetwood was more serious in the match but after they scored Arsenal manager decided to bring in some players that will help him win the match but unfortunately for him they ended up losing to Fleetwood in the penalties. Arsenal players were motivated if you saw their performance you will understand that they believed that it would be an easy game for them that was why the firsttesm was not used by Arteta.

The case of Manchester United losing to Grimsby is totally different. Manchester United started all their key players to win that game but could not. Arsenal lost the fourth round to Fleetwood because the coach felt starting his first team players was not necessary. Meanwhile, Fleetwood have been preparing every day for this moment. The Fleetwood players knew this was the moment to shine since everybody would be watching them play against the Champions of England. The players wanted to prove a point, and they did exactly what they intended.

Liverpool is wining this match by high margin,  Chelsea has strong match against Manchester United in the weekend,  I'm sure alonso will definitely rest some players in this game tonight for the tough league match against Manchester united.  As for Manchester city and Brighton it's will be a bmbery tough game,  I'll play Manchester city to qualify that's safer, this game will end in a draw Brighton are have a good season and they are going into this game with  enough confidence. On the other hands Manchester city won't like to lose two games in a roll after their premier lost to Aston Villa last weekend.

Liverpool also have a serious match to play in the premier league against Arsenal, they should also rest some players if you’re thinking that only Chelsea have big matches.

From the line up that has been published for the match, Liverpool underrated this match, they didn’t start some of their key players, they believe that they can win Chelsea with these boys they set up, while Chelsea come out with their full squad, they know that they will have to win this match that is why Alonso set up his full available squad for the match. I know it will be hard to predict the winner, but I think that Chelsea is not losing this match.

It is not the fault of coaches to play with younger players the carabao cup because they see it as less competitive compared to the premier league and champions league, and they cannot risk playing younger players in the premier league because it will make them drop points and give their rivals advantage in the title race so carabao cup is where they give younger players opportunity to show case their talent, Arteta is not the only coach that is guilty of this, every coach in the premier league always do this, and it has made big teams crash out of the carabao cup the way Arsenal crashed out yesterday.

If am a coach nothing can make me field younger players in the Carabao cup, this is actually a cup for crying out loud, so why risk it? Arsenal keeps on making this same mistake every time and it hurts their fans, the thing is that i get the logic of resting players but my ideology in life is win the one you have seen now before thinking of the future trophy that you are not sure of winning, every little win count and should be taken seriously.

There is still no guarantee that because Arsenal rested players during the Carabao cup that they will win either UCL or EPL, if i was the coach i will start my best players, then if am leading with either a 2 or 3 goal difference, i can now make substitutions, just to give my younger players an opportunity to play in a big stage.

Xabi Alonso needs to take this game seriously after that defeat in the premier league against Tottenham so he needs to make up for that and he can’t afford to gamble with it by fielding a weak 11. This doesn’t mean that Xabi Alonso started the game with his first eleven team but judging from the line up of both teams you can say that the Chelsea’s starting eleven tonight is a bit stronger than the Liverpool starting line up. Apart from that, I think sometimes this is due to squad depth, Chelsea seem to have a more stronger squad depth than Liverpool.

The trend with the bigger clubs in the EFL is something that make their games look less interesting tonight almost all the games are going on draw note, Liverpool vs Chelsea is still at the early time but yet to see any positive attempts from Liverpool who are the favorite in this game, Manchester City in the other hand is also playing a 1:1 draw and this is now becoming a trend for this night games.

The moment I switched to that game, penalties started coming one after another. If we look at the stats there wasn't much action in the first half until these penalties. Not that the two penalty decisions where wrong but I believe it's Time the Carabao cup gets video assistant referee from this stage of the competition.
I don't think I understand or does it make sense to have Video assistant referee in the later stage of the competition when you can't have them now, it is just like the organizers wants the drama of questionable calls in this stage but what's it to be fair in the later stages because I don't think it's financial reasons.

city fell back and equalized 2 times. cherki’s shot hit reis and went in, it was a lucky moment for them. brighton was playing well until last minutes, but city looks set to advance because they really took control after the second goal. maresca hasn’t rotated his lineup as much as arteta has. he’s playing some of his key players. cherki, foden and doku -who came off the bench- should be enough for them to win this game.

It was an unfortunate draw for Brighton; they came very close to progressing but were ultimately eliminated on penalties. It is quite unfortunate that Arsenal were knocked out by Fleetwood. Claiming that the EFL Cup is unimportant serves as a convenient justification, though the actual result doesn't necessarily validate that stance.

It’s disappointing that Arsenal got kicked out of the EFL cup, what surprises me more is not that Arsenal getting kick out of the EFL cup, but the team which kicked them out is just the most surprising thing. How will a team like Fleetwood win them in the match, it’s a disappointing and embarrassing, a team like Arsenal losing to Fleetwood. I think it’s better Arsenal fans stop giving the excuse that EFL CUP is not important, even if the cup isnt important to them they are not suppose to lose the match, they lost to team which nobody even believe they going to lose to. If they played against a strong team, am never going to complain, but they played against Fleetwood, and they couldn’t still get a win.

For Liverpool, it's understandable because they've been playing in domestic and European games but for a Chelsea side that plays once in a week, I'm surprised they were playing like the players were suffering fatigue. Alexander Isak wa brought in but he couldn't score to in normal time.

Sincerely this game is really funny, both teams have scored using penalties, and the time difference when the penalty was awarded was close in proximity, which is very rare in football. Both teams have been able to guide their defense lines till the end of 90 minutes and now the game is going to be decided by penalty kicks. At this point the game can be won by any team. The winner of the game will probably meet a small team.

The match will now be decided on penalties. Three out of the seven games played in this fourth round are ending this way. Arsenal- Fleetwood, Manchester City- Brighton, and now Chelsea- Liverpool. Luck mostly determines the winner in penalties because the goalkeepers can be fortunate to dive in the right direction.
