I downloaded 3.1.1 from http://nhzcrypto.org/downloads/check the hash via NHZ client, showing: The downloaded version hash does not compare to the specified hash in the blockchain. DO NOT PROCEED.That's because I found a few more small issues and didn't want to jump to 3.1.2 for those fixes. I think I'm done now, so if you download again all should be good!

how do i get in?
See the OP: In short... 1. Do something for development or establish a node (bounty) 2. Buy NHZ on Poloniex or the NXT AE It's that easy!

We got 397 hallmarked nodes at the moment What can we do for marketing?
Good question, wish I'd have an answer for that. Maybe write a press-release-style article which can then be sent to blogs and altcoin news sites. Use social networks to promote. Find marketers that want to get involved... I still hope the cointropolis guys come up with some great ideas soon, but it seems like they have other issues at the moment :/

So, I read the following quote on the NXT thread discussing a bug that occurred a few hour ago (still not sure what really happened but appears to be a tx from an account without enough funds - funds were sent to the account with "insufficient funds" and the blockchain regained momentum): The more hallmarked nodes, the larger the network. The larger the network, the more trouble for DoS'ers. The network has to be large enough to outnumber DoS'ers. Besides, CfB said that Transparent Forging will be implemented only when the network is large enough. He believes it is not large enough now. So, set up more public (hallmarked) nodes or if you can't, buy NSC asset on the Asset exchange to support other people setting up nodes for the network.
This got me thinking... Since NHZ has a larger/stronger network atm, would it be possible to beat NXT to the post re: transparent forging. Could NHZ devs develop and implement TF before nxt? NHZ still may not have a secure/well distributed enough network but talk about a great marketing strategy! LOL Edit: I must admit that if you asked me to define TF, I would not give you a very clear answer so please do not hold me to the technical side...can someone expound more on the value of TF?

For me, marketing is all about getting more people involved. Which will make the network even stronger, and hopefully also bring in people who can contribute with i.e. coding. We got a large and stable network (not a single incident, blockchain running smooth since nearly 3 months), and enough funds to pay a lot of contributors. All we're missing is a bigger community. Edit: I must admit that if you asked me to define TF, I would not give you a very clear answer so please do not hold me to the technical side...can someone expound more on the value of TF?
TF has two benefits: * it's known who'll forge the next block, so transactions can be sent directly to that node and processed faster * when the one who should forge the next block doesn't do it he will be penalized. This can prevent a large holder from forcing a fork Both of those aren't critical issues. As long as we're short on (java-)developers I think we should concentrate on releasing other unique features which are of real use for the users.

I agree with what you say about marketing. I was thinking that if TF was implemented, it would draw many new users...I may be wrong but NXT has delayed TF for some time but the idea is received very well by all NXTers. Re marketing...NHZ has basically done very little. Only myself and the rest of the community are to blame. It would be great to recruit a professional team for this and pay them from bounties... I remember this was being discussed recently. Everyone seems busy with other projects.

The stakeholder bounty script is now running for the first time. It reads all balances b, and pays out (b*0.1)/365 NHZ every day.
Payouts are delayed one minute to spread the fees over multiple blocks. Amounts <1 NHZ are not paid out. You have to hold at least 3650 NHZ to be eligible.

Does this mean exchanges holding people's coins get paid too, and no doubt keep the extra for themselves?
