Why would those other games impact the Barcelona game?.

A lot of sport fans are very fund of making predictions, not based on certain factors, but based on the team with a bigger achievement and club name across Europe. Is it not funny that despite how bad a lot of people claimed the premier league to be this very season, we still find those same premier league teams doing well in European competitions. Just imagine 5 out of the 5 premier league teams that qualify for the UCL, all made it to the RO16. Isn't that enough message that these guys are something else?.

Personally, I feel Barce has what it takes to move on to the next round, but trust me, Newcastle are never going to make it easy. I support one of the big teams In the premier league, but I have always never liked playing against Newcastle because of their level of physicality. Let's take the premier league games aside, I think Newcastle are definitely going to fight, but Barce are the favorites imo.

Exactly for two seasons now the English clubs now have been dominating the European competitions and not only the champions league and that’s what is earning them the slots they get, currently have 9 clubs still in the European competitions and that’s two times more than any other league. This yet again will help them get an extra slot next season for the champions league.

Yes Manchester City and Real Madrid are coming this early because Madrid themselves took the hardest route to the round of 16, if they have qualify without going through the play offs they wouldn’t be getting this fixtures this early. But also this is what make the competition eye catching.

Although I don’t actually like the way the draw is with only one side having multiple winners and competitors while the other side is actually narrow to one winner. This takes away the much fun in my opinion

The Premier League is a tough league and it keeps proving that, aside the normal big teams in the league Tottenham and Newcastle are the hotheads in the league form time to time they come up and shake things up but it’s good they’re also doing that in the champions league. I’m most surprised by the performance of Tottenham Hotspur who qualified amongst the top 8, and are struggling in the league just as they did last season. Incredible and wonderful!.

I'm worried about madrid. Madrid are not in a good position. I saw their performance against Getafe today. It was a very boring performance. Fans at the Bernabeu were expecting  a better performance from madrid. But real madrid disappointed the fans again. They lost 1- 0 against Getafe.

It is going to be a tough task for real madrid to face manchester city in such conditions and perform well. Manchester city's performances have been erratic at the start of  the season, but the team is now in a good position. Madrid have no chance of  qualifying for the quarter-finals if this  performance does not improve.

Uefea increases the spot for EPL teams because they tend to be more competitive interms of elite tournaments. This is the type of tournament where EPL clubs come out in good numbers and stand their ground, winning games is very easy and straight because they are not going to stop behind. In the UEFEA Champions League, there have been quite some tough fixtures already and it takes only the strong teams to compete.

Manchester City vs Real Madrid, we have watched these sides clashing and already knew the outcome. This is indeed one of the perfect game to watch because it's definitely going to be an elite one. It's 50/50 game and winning either comes both ways. Let's be hopeful that the best team wins.

Chelsea still has a good history over PSG so don't think they will not bank on it when they play PSG againin the champions League because that history may still repeat again and Chelsea will beat them again, PSG has not been performing well just like Chelsea both teams are struggling at the moment but seeing them playing together you should expect a very good encounter cause Chelsea has the champions League as one way to get the qualification ticket next season if they can't make the top4 in the league.

We can can go back to the day Chelsea won the Club World Cup against PSG with that INCREDIBLE 3-0 victory. And I can only think that Maresca's game plan and incredible performances from João Pedro, Cucurella, Palmer, etc... were what gave Chelsea that title.

Everyone was fearing the high pressure marking from PSG, and I remember Chelsea simply not suffering that pressure at any point.

But now:
- Chelsea no longer has Maresca
- No more impeccable players to save the team (Palmer fell off).

PSG is also not at the same level as before, but Vitinha has maintained his consistency, Doue is back to playing at a very high level, and Kvaratskhelia is still playing very well

I think it's difficult to decide because it's slightly more in PSG's favor in some scenarios, and slightly more in Chelsea's favor in others. The only thing I hope is that these two games live up to the expectations we are building.

If I recall correctly, Tottenham didn't have the most difficult of opponents in the Champions League, but still finishing fourth was unexpectedly strong given how weak they are in the Premier League.

Remember last season I think when Manchester United and Tottenham reached the Europa League final when they played a complete mess in the Premier League and finished 15. and 17. respectively. In knockout games everything is possible.

Seeing six out of the six English Premier League clubs that qualified to play in the UCL this season in the round of 16 honestly proves that the English Premier League is currently the best league in the world but I strongly doubt that majority of them will reach the next stage of the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur will be facing an in form Atletico Madrid in a two-legged tie. Considering how impressive Diego Simeone's men have been in recent games, I'm of the opinion that they'll comfortably beat the London club.

Real madrid performance against Getafe is indeed very poor. That's not what fans was expecting to watch in the santiago bernabeu. People didn't leave their homes, pay tickets for such a boring games at the santiago bernabeu. Real madrid should simply make a refunds of the ticket fee to their fans. Real madrid hasn't shown any weakness in the champions league which is different from how they play in the LaLiga and they can't be underestimated based on that poorly show against getafe.

Although currently in the EPL competition they seem like a team that is not taken into account this is because their ranking in the competition is in 13th place meaning they seem to have difficulty playing in the EPL competition. It was a difficult match for them and Vini couldn't rescue them. Whenever, Mbappe isn't on the field, it always tell on their performance. However, you shouldn't use their performance in Laliga to judge them in UCL because they're more serious with their UCL matches and is their priority. I hope that they improve their performance and Mbappe gets back on the pitch soon.

In my opinion too, the Premiere League is the strongest league in the World, it is a container of explosive teams, they always make people talk about them and they are always present in the big competitions.
There are two teams I'm following with enthusiasm, one is Manchester United, after the restart I try to watch all their games, and Arsenal who I keep under observation for their performance this season, who are really close to winning the Championship (I finally hope so for them).

One thing you should understand is that sometimes football is actually unpredictable. I’m sure no one even believed Galatasaray will win Liverpool in that first leg but they did, Galatasaray players need to know how to manage pressure if they can manage pressure very well I’m sure they will win Liverpool again and qualify for the next round.

You are correct Premier league is the strongest and the most difficult league in the world and they are the best league also in the world. The league is very coordinated and they do things in the proper way to Favour all the teams not like La Liga that is always making things difficult for clubs.
Premier league teams always stand out in every competition their teams are the best in the world, I can say now that the best team in the world is Arsenal and there’s no doubt in that because they are doing very well in all competitions and this season they will surely lift more trophies. For me Arsenal is the most favorite to win the champions league trophy this season, nothing can stop them from achieving that this season.

Chelsea not winning last three matches in premier league and bad capital for facing PSG at first leg match of Champion League one week later, indeed Chelsea lead head to head by defeating PSG in FIFA Club World Cup final match but current Chelsea team difference with the new manager PSG although qualified to knock out round trough the playoff round but has good capital by playing well in domestic league and in this moment PSG favorable for winning the first leg match.
Personally this match I think PSG have bigger chance for defeating Chelsea and secure the quarter final round position, playing at home for the first leg match has good capital for winning the match, in my prediction PSG possibility winning the games around two goals.

I know about Bodø/Glimt's making history for themselves. It was really impressive to see them beating some really big teams. They eliminated Inter as well after league phase.

It's even their first time joining the group stage / league phase of the CL in their history. So I have a big respect for their achievement.

I hope we can also do a job to remember against Liverpool. Our CL history is much bigger than Bodø/Glimt. 

Most new comers will get nervous to perform well but Bodo Glimt didn't show any sign of weakness instead they surprised everyone and proved that they can also participate as everyone else. I thought all their league phase victory against big teams was just luck but they proved everyone wrong, they still went on to eliminate Inter Milan. That's what surprised everyone the most.

Now that we've gone to the most challenging phase of the champions league let's see how they will cope and how far they can go in the competition. I don't think they can go far, I don't think they can go past quarter final even if they are able to survive the round of 16.
