UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season

Honestly, I almost consider all matches to be equally exciting.  Unfortunately, some matches have the same start time. this means that we cannot watch some matches when we want to watch matches that are scheduled at the same time.  and it's really unfortunate because the Manchester City vs. real madrid match and the Chelsea vs. PSG match have the same schedule, which means we can only watch one of them.  In both matches, I think I'll choose to watch the Madrid vs. Manchester City match. Because I think I like it when many star players face off on the field.

If I'm to choose between the two matches which one will I watch and is more tougher to me. I will personally say it is more tougher for the Manchester City and Real Madrid fixtures than the PSG vs Chelsea challenge and my reason is, this fixture will mark the fifth consecutive seasons the Real Madrid and Manchester City clubs have met in the knockout stage which already tells you how consistently strong both teams are at this stage. Pep Guardiola will forever want to give any chances of seeing Arbeloa's team which is Real Madrid to beat his own team which is Manchester City and it is equally going to be a thing of pride for Arbeloa if he eventually knocks off Pep's team. Those who see PSG vs Chelsea as tougher are most definitely looking at it from PSG's angle as the defending champions so they would not want to see Chelsea's win over them. But it will still be easily predictable for me to say Chelsea will be defeated by PSG than for me to predict who wins between Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Yeah I agree with you partly because I have seen time and time again where Madrid would be trash but when the two teams meet especially in the UCL they usually perform better with heart stopping moments but one thing that cannot be disregarded is the dip In performance especially with Real Madrid and now that star player is down on injury with a promise to he the UCL, am not sure he will be optimal enough to perform brilliantly.

This will make Real Madrid won't perform well since there key players are not active for now and to make real madrid defeat Manchester City in the round of 16th will be very hard this time but anything can be possible we can't underestimate the current players In the team now they can do all there best and achieve the victory. It is certainly one of the most exciting matches in this champions history, but I see Paris Saint-Germain lagging behind a little because of their goalkeeper; they have not been able to replace Donnarumma.
Manchester City against Real Madrid is not a bad match, but Real Madrid is unrecognisable and I don't think they will not pass  the round; for them, being knocked out in the round of 16 would be a disaster.

In my opinion, Manchester City is the favorite although their recent performance in the premier league is also not encouraging but it will be a big disappointment if they don't beat Real Madrid.

For the Manchester City vs Real Madrid game it’s actually a big loss if one go home this early because it will be more competitive and interesting in the final 8 than the 16s but nonetheless I think it’s champions league and regardless of the results period we should be having elites teams competing with each other.
I don’t actually agree with your statement of Real Madrid mostly winning, I think if it’s of recent events we have seen both teams getting over each other, but the most interesting part is that any team that wins mostly ends up been in the final let’s see if such will repeat yet again this season.

For the PSG vs Chelsea game i think just the club World Cup period it will be very bad for PSG or Luiz Enrique to actually underrate this Chelsea team, there is no club in the competition that loves to go head to head with a top flying team than the blues. I was praying very hard for the last phase of the champions league to pass so that I can feel the real vibe of the champions league. I could not imagine hearing fixtures involving Bodo/Mints, Quarabaq and their likes. The fixtures were not interesting to watch except for Real Madrid Vs Benfica which the interest came from Jose Mourinho.

Finally, this phase looks like the real phase. Seeing a fixture like Real Madrid Vs Manchester city can give one an orgasm. Can't wait for this, let next week come so fast.

Revenge is not important for PSG. The media talks like that and some others who have no idea. In the heads of the players, it is not about revenge at this stage of the UCL. If it was the final, perhaps that would be true, but not in the round of 16. All that is important is to make it to the next round and that's it. But I think that this match is the most interesting one after the Real Madrid vs Manchester City match. It is because Chelsea is able to play on the highest level if they can tap into their biggest potential on a day. I still think PSG is the stronger team if you compare them play position against player position, but that doesn't win any matches.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City will draw the most attention in this round. I think there is club that Guardiola hates more to lose against than Real Madrid. I will support the home team. I am not usually a Chelsea or PSG fan, so on the day when the team is likely to play well, I will support that team. In the first leg I will support PSG and expect them to make a 3 goal difference. In the second leg I will support Chelsea, I expect them to win the second leg. But that is where I would like to see Chelsea finish in the Champions League. Chelsea's unexpected performance made the match even more unexpected, anything can happen and any team can be eliminated.

Newcastle have a chance if they can use it. Barcelona are known as a strong team from the beginning but they also make mistakes a lot. If Newcastle try right then it is possible to go to a good level with Barcelona. If their try is good then they can win. I am not thinking about how Madrid played or will play against them but I am interested to watch Newcastle and Barcelona match on March 10th. Because this match might be interesting. Barcelona is a strong team and Newcastle is nothing. But I am interested because I want to enjoy a match where a slightly less strong team is giving Barcelona a hard time. So I am really excited for this match. Let's see what they do in the match now. Chelsea or other teams who almost win, but Newcastle are not very much, so if they somehow win or even manage to draw the match it will be really exciting

Real Madrid have several problems, the defense is clearly most urgent one to fix since they have no real leader at the moment. Rüdiger is good but he is no Sergio Ramos. Regarding the midfielders, they never really replaced Kroos, Modric and Casemiro, and the main reason is that they just bought a lot of young players (Bellingham, Camavinga, Guler) but they have no experienced players besides Valverde, who is the only great midfielder they have. Bellingham is too inconsistent and Tchouaméni never reached the level they were hoping for. And it's crazy that Ceballos is still part of the squad.
Regarding the attacking players, everything is about Mbappé, all the others are almost useless. Vinicius is 26 years old and he still behaves like he's 16...

I don't think they are all useless but in midfield, it's challenging for young players to replace legends like Modric, Casemiro and Kroos especially these legends got massive success with the club in about one decade. Their legacy in Real Madrid is huge and challenges all young replacements while with attacking players, they are talented and have potential to upgrade more but their performances are affected by weakness of his teammates in midfield and defense. In addition, the coach positions contributed other negative things for attacking performances, and I believe that if Real Madrid have a good coach as well as doing like two changes in their squad in the next transfer, they will have a stronger, more balancing and competitive team for next season.

I meant useless for the current Real Madrid. As I said in another thread, Real Madrid must choose what path they want to pursue: if they are fine waiting a few years without possibly winning any trophy because they want to focus on growing young players for the future, then it's totally fine. If they want to win now then they must change their transfer market strategies. When you go to Real Madrid the pressure is huge, even a player like Kakà never really performed at Real Madrid, Hazard had a lot of troubles too just to name a few. Thinking that Real Madrid can win but a group of 20-something years old makes no sense.

It's definitely done for Arsenal this season 
Their opponents are just gifts, but I wouldn't be so fast to conclude, the recent arsenal matches has not been promising for a better potential, I do feel now that they have declined in performance, their game play is more of a defensive game, and their goals recently is mostly as a result of set piece,
And if they play the same way I think these clubs in the champions league we regard to as easy win will eliminate them.

Considering Real Madrid's current situation, Manchester City are necessarily the favourites, but be careful not to confuse things.
Being the favourite means they have a better chance of winning, but do you think Real Madrid won't fight? It's not a team that gives up easily, rather it could play an offensive game even with a lot of foul play.
