We all know how Real Madrid are performing at the moment, but it's not all doom and gloom... they still have the spirit to compete well in both La Liga and the Champions League. It's just that their form is poor at the moment and Arbeloa isn't really able to improve their performance, but I still think they can compete well in the upcoming matches. Mbappe is undoubtedly Madrid's best player at the moment. His sudden absence, even if it is a little, can be seen as a bad sign for the team. However, he should be completely rested for the national team. Because his health is more important. He will be seen in much better condition for France. But am just not happy for mbappe's injury now that the tournament is about coming to an end and preparing for the world Cup and may miss it if time is not taken or his injury is not well treated.

Madrid has the difference mentality between domestic league and UEFA Champion League match, after losing last match in La Liga actually Madrid has much experienced with winning mentality when playing in Champion League exactly lead head to head from Manchester City. Its nor first time Madrid face Manchester City in Champion League and last season Madrid success eliminating Manchester City at knock out round with aggregate 6-3.

Manchester City seem to be the favorites in this tie, but predicting the outcome of such big matches is very difficult. Real Madrid players are extra motivated for these big games. Many of them dream of winning the Champions League trophy. Therefore, I think they will be more involved in these matches and might even be able to eliminate Manchester City. It will be a tough tie, and the winner will have eliminated a very strong opponent on their way to the finals.

For me this is actually a problem in terms of inexperienced coaches, plus many injured players in the Real Madrid squad now so it makes things worse, about like a total collapse it's like not, until now Real Madrid can still compete even though it is inconsistent.

Even though they are hit by many injured players such as Bellingham, Rodygo, Camavinga etc. they still have a winning mentality for the champions league competition, I will never underestimate Real Madrid despite their poor performance in LaLiga.

Even if somehow City ends up winning (or Madrid does) the team they are going to face is probably Bayern, and then they are going to face a team like PSG or LFC, not sure which yet, but it is going to be tough, and THEN the finals, so we are talking about a very tough road with no easy opponent at all for City, and beating that many great teams in a row is not likely.

So we may see a game between city and Madrid which is great and while they will definitely play to win and all that, they are not going far no matter who wins. Real Madrid has proven the point that good players without good coaching are useless, which is the same thing that is currently happening to their performances. If they had given Xabi Alonso more time, he would have been able to achieve more, but they couldn’t wait, and now see the result. I don’t have much hope in them this season anymore, as anything can happen. Although they say time will tell, let’s wait and see the results of their mistakes.

In this game against Manchester city I don’t think Real Madrid are favorites to win, they are in a very bad situation and losing a lot of game this season already even at home so for me they are second favorite in this game. This fixture always bring entertainment, competition and lot more so for us the spectators I think we are going to have a good game. It's really sad to see Real Madrid suffer from things like this I hope they get better .soon. some players are just injured and It will be difficult for the team to endure and cope.
This will definitely affect the team and their performance and also seeing that Arbeloa is inexperienced will certainly make the whole situation worse for them but I someone believe that it won't affect him a lot that the team will suffer and struggle. It's normal for for a team to experience something like this, it happens all the time to almost every team but it's a terrible timing for  Real Madrid right now as they are going to the round of 16 in the champions league and also a crucial stages in the league.

The tension would be on Arbeloa this period and I believe he'll be confused on what to do because even before the injuries got worst he wasn't really finding it easy and they were conceding easily to other minor teams talk more of now that it's increased that's why I asked if he'll be able to cope this period. At this point Barcelona has more advantage to win the league than Real Madrid.

It won't be easy for Arbeloa to overcome the problems currently facing Real Madrid. Why choose to get injured now? We don't sound as if is the frenchman fault. Kylian Mbappe have always been consistent and also been inform to exhibit extraordinary performance on the pitch. Unknown to everyone about Kylian Mbappe playing with injury all day long. This knee injury have turn into something else. We thought it was just a scratch injury that would go with time but as time goes on, it sidelined the frenchman.

Kylian Mbappe fled to France because he's upset with the medical team at Real Madrid and would want to see himself fit for upcoming games for his club and the World Cup coming up. This is not the time for Kylian Mbappe to sober, rather he's working hard enough to come back 10 better.

I learnt he was going to be out for 3 - 4 weeks due to his knee injury at least that was what I read in one of the news. If it's true he should be expected back into the team in 2 weeks time or less. No doubt his been an integral and one of the most important players for team and him being out for long will affect the team as a whole, with proper management, Real Madrid should be able to manage the Mbappe's absence well due to the fact that they have capable players that can fill the forward role of the club. The only place I personally feel they have issues with mostly is the defence and a real replacement for Kronos. Mbappe should be back soon though and banging but I'm afraid, they might not win anything at the end of the season because of how they have failed to stay afloat.

Mbappe hasn't been injured for a long time, he is very strong usually, but the current situation is I don't know how long, usually he is quite short, but even so it is a blow for Real Madrid because they don't have a player who can be relied on perfectly in the front line as a key player and a good executor, Madrid looks like they will lose a lot of hope in a few weeks and yes they won't have any more hope this season.

Yeah I agree with you partly because I have seen time and time again where Madrid would be trash but when the two teams meet especially in the UCL they usually perform better with heart stopping moments but one thing that cannot be disregarded is the dip In performance especially with Real Madrid and now that star player is down on injury with a promise to he the UCL, am not sure he will be optimal enough to perform brilliantly.

Real Madrid isn't doing so well, and the opposite team will want to capitalise on that. But we know real Madrid, we know what they can do, we trust them when it comes to champions league and there performances. Even though they are not performing well in there league, you will see them perform greatly in the champions league. So, there rivals should be aware of that.

Secondly, wether start boy or no star boy, a team that isn't doing well is not doing well. I believe in the statement that a team cannot make a forest. So, if they aren't performing at all, even though there star boy is available as you mentioned, they would still play poorly. The team has to step up generally to play within there normal standard

I read the news that Mbappe initially suffered an injury in late December with the medical team revealing an injury to the external lateral ligament of his left knee. At the time, he was expected to need at least three weeks to recover, but if you remember Mbappe was forced to play in the Supercopa final against Barcelona. Since then, Mbappe has played through the pain including in Champions League matches which ultimately worsened his condition.

However, I'm confident that Mbappé's injury won't keep him out of the World Cup. Real Madrid must understand that they shouldn't force players to continue playing while they're recovering, as this is tantamount to taking a risk. Many Real Madrid players are now injured because they're forced to play before they're 100% recovered, which can lead to re-injury. Mbappe injury is expected to keep him out of the match against Celta Vigo and the UCL match against Manchester City.

Real Madrid are simply not the team they use to be and this has been happening for a very long time now, with the way things are going I don't really think they can even make it past Manchester City although Manchester City themselves have been very very dreadful in their performance and also the both teams have a lot to gamble in this fixture as both are currently sitting second place position in their respective title race. Mbappe not being part of the squad makes things a lot worse for them but it can be a side of blessing who knows? Since less competition will be on the team.
