What a story, what a team. The first-ever appearance of Malawi in WAFCON; they are reaching the final.

This was made possible tonight as they beat Algeria by  3-1(both teams had 1 red card). We will get to find out which African country(Morocco or Cameroon) they will face in the final in a few minutes.

I don't get surprised in football any longer because I believe that performance of a team determine if the team is going to win or not, it is not by first appearance it is based on coordination and The Corporation, if  a team corporate very well then we achieve their plans and another thing that makes a team to win even though it is their first experience or first time to this extent is based on a regular practice or regular training, Malawi can possibly win WAFCON if then continue playing the way their maintaining their paths, so Morocco is a strong team but I cannot predict that they will win Cameroon and if they come to the part of Malawi, if it's possible for them to defeat Malawi

This year's WAFCON edition is now interesting, the two dominant teams have bowed out of the tournament. Since after watching Malawi's performance against the super falcons I couldn't think of any team that would match their energy in this tournament. The Chawinga sisters are not playing like women and their energy and precision is top notch. Malawi could go on to win the WAFCON this year. Cameroon defeated Morocco at last giving me a nice sleep at least they won't find their way to the finals. Since this tournament my support has been going to the Super falcons and any team playing against Morocco and it finally paid off, lol. Congratulations to Malawi and Morocco, it's going to be a tough final of which it's difficult to say who will win, but the Chawinga sisters are fierce, they can still fire Malawi to their first ever WAFCON title. The Cameroonian team is only surviving because of their keeper Michaely who has now won two woman of the match awards against the two WAFCON giants, Nigeria and Morocco. She is a great keeper who will contribute to the toughness of this final but I doubt if her performance alone will be enough for Cameroon on Sunday.

I completely agree with you, nobody would have thought that Malawi will come this far, I haven't really been following up with the competition but I usually go on YouTube to watch highlights of some of the matches and to be sincere with you, the malawian team has been incredible.

However in all of these, the match that are really caught my attention that I've taken out time to watch how it went through was the game between Morocco and Cameroon, the referee was a total blunder in that match, he awarded a penalty that was not worthy of a penalty, it was not even a foul but it was defender that has possessed the ball trying to guide herself to clear the ball, in the struggle to guide herself it looks as though she touched a part of the Moroccan attacker but then it was not a foul because she was incharge of the ball at that moment and you could clearly see that even when the Moroccan player was trying to stand up, the Moroccan teammates where telling her to still lie down so that the Ref can go and check VAR, all thanks to the goalkeeper Michaely Bihina who saved the day for the Cameroonian team.

Morocco vs Africa and Africa won. I supported Kamerun to win that match and I m going to support Kamerun to win the WAFCON title. Though Chawinga sisters are saving Malawi and I also have two major players who can save kamerun from Malawi which are the Goalkeeper Michaely Bihina and Maeva Nyadjou who gave the scoring goal to remove the Super Falcons from the competition. Obviously, Malawi was underestimated and they took their opponents by surprise starting with Nigeria and it was an embarrassing situation for the Falcons because they never saw it coming. Should I say they dethroned the Falcons or what? Because it all looks like they are going straight to lift the trophy which would have be lifted by the Falcons. This looks symbolic as I can not really explain it's existence or occurrence in reality.

It is called a team because each and every part of the team has an important role to play for success. If each of them is playing for individual benefit, the team won't go far in the tournament. Malawi showed how they complement one another from game to game, level to level, and now they have achieved going further to the final stage. Malawi is a few steps away from winning the WAFCON. With a historical run to this stage, they can make history for the country. Let's assume Morocco succeeds in the finals. Malawi will beat Morocco through collective efforts. It doesn't change the fact that Morocco remains the favorite side to win the WAFCON ever since Nigeria got eliminated.

Trying so hard to be a Pan Africanist makes me want to see reason with South Africa on why they had to see the rest of Africa out of their country but, I’ve never being quite settled on the way they did it. Trying to do the right thing by being unlawful. Having agencies that didn’t work or they just didn’t let do their job, abuse of human right, destruction of life’s and property… a lot of societal ills and being human, you can’t help but not support all that.

Morocco, they just wanted to host and win, being host country they had the means and power to tip the scales but all that did end with the AFCON, of course I want to see these nations making Africa proud but for South Africa, it’s always going to be about the banter so, they should rest a little bit, it’s not time yet.

I also saw what the referee did between Morocco and Cameroon but I wasn't concerned because watching this tournament all the time I have seen other instances were referee decided a penalty on something you wouldn't see a contact to the player that's claiming the victim but however there is also what they normally do that I like, is relying on the VAR because a lot of penalty on this tournament was cancelled because of VAR. Cameroon women was lucky after full time of not scoring they won Morocco women in penalty.

All those who like to think that the WAFCON is not interesting or entertaining are seriously missing out. At the level of Women Football it’s very entertaining and dramatic too. The Super Falcons didn’t show that they were ready for this tournament and that’s why they bowed out. Now the first team to win them and the second team to win them will face off in the finals. These final is really incredible, both teams are competitive and tough… I don’t think anybody expected them to be here. Morroco I thought would be in the finals but it’s Cameron, thanks to the heroics of their goalkeeper.

Was just desperately bored so had to try it and WAFCON average keeper skills are annoying
Cameroon keeper only one that at least uses her head.
They would likely win the final and the keeper winning best player.
The truth remains the keeper won Nigeria not Cameroon
No matter how we would say it's a team effort.

The two former finalists are out of the tournament, I imagined both sides were going to become the two finalists, but football has other plans, Nigeria couldn't make it into the semi final, Morocco lost the opportunity to be very close to being among the finalists. Good luck to Cameroon.

Looking at the draw, the semi final would have been between Morocco and Nigeria, if Nigeria had beaten Cameroon, we never would have watched the two meet again in the final. I'm voting for Cameroon in the final, I believe they are the strongest.

I do not find any thing clownish about the attitudes of the ladies who put of their excitement did what every other female squad in previous tournaments has been doing. The Nigeria Super Falcons to my view has been the better team than the men's team, so why calling them clowns after many good records set that have given us pride, but just for a one time of a bad performance some persons forget how good they have been before now.

Women is built differently, we should understand that fact because they will always show excitement when they perform very well in a match so I don't even question their attitude of coming to social media to sing, dance and even throw shades at their opponents. Besides, were they given any restrictions not to use social media while competition is ongoing? You're right that the Super Falcons are better than the Super Eagles and I agree with you even though it's not 100% true. Winning the WAFCON for 10th times is not a joke so they deserve to show all the excitement. If the Men's team had won up to 10 Nations Cup, we wouldn't have been criticising them even if they didn't do well so we should praise the ladies who are making the country proud and setting our name high among other African countries.

That’s an interesting take. We might be going off-topic but I just have to respond to your comment. First off, I think you need to define what being pan-African means to you. For me, it is the upliftment of every African nation and recognising that the way to achieve this is by working together. South Africa is practically fighting the growth of other Africans living in their county, contributing to their economy. It is not only anti pan-African but also plain stupid.
