It just remains few minutes or seconds as of the time I'm writing this comment for Cameroon and Malawi match to end, and Cameroon are currently leading Malawi 4-0, they scored their fourth goal in extra time when no one even expect them to score another goal. I knew Cameroon will beat Malawi but I didn't expect Malawi be an easy opponent for Cameroon.

The match ended 3:0 in favour of Cameroon. The last goal was not awarded so it stopped at 3:0, Malawi has been good so far but experience is one of the things that made them to lose today against Cameroon, the coach of Cameroon and his players studied their game play they capitalized on their errors to punish them there by scoring 3 goals before the halftime that alone is enough to weaken the team's strength so it made Cameroon to win the match with zero stress. Everyone was expecting a tough game but after the first 30 minutes winner of the game was already decided.
Malawi made it easy for Cameroon. This wasn't the final I waited for to see Cameroon beat Malawi without a response from Malawi. Moreover, Malawi wasn't the favorite to win. The bookmakers chose Cameroon. A lot of gamblers also believe Cameroon will win their first ever WAFCON in history.

Congratulations to Cameroon ladies. To be a winner is not a day's journey. Every step through to the final was tough for them. The ladies did wonderfully, and the Malawi ladies did wonders as well.

That's football (game of uncertainties) for you. Many people waited for a very serious/tough match and even go on expecting Malawi to win but football and it's wonders just like Nigeria was expected to win Cameron. Somehow, even as super falcons didn't do well someone can say Cameron will win Malawi since they won the defending champions, but altogether it's just prediction that the result in the football field has the final say.

Congratulations to Cameroon on their historical win. At least WAFCON now have new champions. Cameroon really had a rough and tough start though but they were persistent not only them Malawi made a very grand entry into the tournament and their performances was something else. Although they are new to the trophy if I am not mistaken but they also played well like they've been playing the tournament for long. They also deserve some accolades for their efforts in reaching the WAFCON finals. This shows they could go along way in football since they in this tone.
The interesting part of it is Cameroon had lost three finals since they started the WAFCON competition and in what will look like the fourth one for them to have lost again, they ended up winning it with a very good margin of 3 goals to none against the Malawi side. Now the guys are more happier than ever to have being the team to have brought this land mark victory to the team for the first time. I expect to see the country to welcome them in a grand styling way including the president of the country so it encourages them to do more and the men’s team should also learn from this to work harder when they participate in the next competition of the AFCON and the World Cup in general.

Men should learn from the women’s team? Hilarious! The men’s football is a totally different game entirely it’s way too far from what the women play so if you say they should learn I think you are wrong but if you say they should pick up from the women by taking the next championship is very valid but for learning men are far in a difficult situation in the football then the women, you know how well this is, intentional players all over other countries playing same game is in a different level so adjusting your words is likely my suggestion.

I think he's talking about the success of the Super Falcons when it comes to the African football and why the Super Eagles should learn from their mistakes. Literally, I don't think any football fan will want to tell the men's teams to learn from their female counterparts. But if he's actually saying that the women's team is better and that the men's team should learn from them, it simply means that his football knowledge is limited

You’re getting it wrong though, he is talking about Cameroon players not Nigerian players, even though you got the country wrong but you’re right that we can’t tell the male to learn from the female football team as they play totally different levels of games, because of the softness and lack of competitiveness of the female players they even lack viewers which has been a very big question long ago, but however, the men’s football is the biggest game in the world. So learning isn’t the problem of national teams but the strategies and good planning, like not conceding a goal until the finals, or drawing until the finals such strategy helps win.

Learning is learning which can also be derived by finding courages through the exhibitions of others.
In this context I mean it is not a wrong phrase if the mens team have to learn from the womens team but the question is learning on which aspect?
The women teams may also be so boring if compared with the mens team which ideally is the reason why you think there is nothing for the men to learn from the woman but that is totally wrong if you think professionalism in football is just all about the high energies and the muscling in the mens football.
Don't entirely underestimate women when compared to men. Just my own opinion.

Firstly I want to congratulate the Cameroonian female team for winning the just concluded WAFCON in Morocco, they showed commitment and won it for the very first time, I hope that other female teams that have never won it before should take courage from the Cameroonian female team to know that it is possible. Same goes to the male teams in AFCON that have never won it before, they too can be encouraged that it is possible to win AFCON they just have to be more motivated and courageous like the Cameron female team. Motivation is not only in terms of physical strength you can draw courage from from a team in another category that showed a lot of commitment to win their competition for the first time against all odds.

Why do I feel you have comprehension problem from what the post actually says he basically says that men national team footballers should learn from the female national team and that statement is definitely right and also true nothing wrong with. The lionesses of Cameroon have been knocking the door of been champions for a very long time now and through tenacity and perseverance they have found glory at the end. They did this against all odds by defeating some of the biggest female footballing nations in the country like Nigeria and that’s how you win even if you’re not an utter favourite for the tournament.

Now relate this to the Male counterparts; the lions of Cameroon, they for so long have been poor in every AFCON and even missed out in the just concluded World Cup. So you ask what can they learn from the Female counterparts it’s simply same tenacity and perseverance that the lionesses have had in the tournament even though they are not considered favourites. Learning isn’t about learning how to play or pass the ball because the level of competition is definitely different between them both, but that doesn’t stops learning

I was impressed with the performances of Cameroon and Malawi and i knew one of them will win the WAFCON title when Cameroon defeated Nigeria and Morocco in the knockout stage i knew the WAFCON title was theirs.

I trust the Super Falcons in this regard; I believe they would have delivered for us, cameroon team have the privilege of facing Malawi because the Super Falcons this time around, imagine your number one opposition when it comes to define house and you have always been sent about meeting on several occasions, now to discover that your greatest oppressor is no longer within the game, there is no advantage that is more than this you cameroon team had and this is why they could achieve a massive defeat against Malawi.

Take out the super falcons and Cameroon is the best team to take over winning the wafcon from Nigeria. At least, if you want to loose, loose to a team that's worth it and this is the beauty of seeing another name that has come into the picture of winning the wafcon outside of Nigeria. To the Cameroonian keeper, she's successfully written her name in the sands of time and we will always remember her for her incredible performance throughout this competition and with a great display as this, you're certain that she's the next big thing that's coming out of Africa as one of the female goalie in the world.

On recent development for the Super Falcons, the NFF has sacked the head coach of the team Justine Madugu and the technical crew even though he has been successful with the Super Falcons team many times in the WAFCON.

The reasons are that the Super Falcons failed out of the WAFCON and also the Super Falcons will miss the next women's world cup for the first time in our history, and that was something that the NFF will not forgive. Do you think that this is a good decision?

After losing three finals, Cameroon's fourth 3-0 victory is truly a remarkable comeback. After losing the previous three finals, this victory is not just a title win but also an end to a long period of disappointment. Especially, winning the WAFCON title for the first time by defeating Malawi is a historic moment for Cameroon's women's football. I hope that this success will create more interest, confidence and sufficient investment or sponsorship in women's football in the country. At the same time, the men's team will also try to improve their performance by taking inspiration from this success.Through this success, not only the women's team but also the overall football of Cameroon will be developed in the near future.

The Cameroonian female team were given a warm welcome upon arrival at Yaoundé. The Cameroonian government held a road walk show for them in celebration for the trophy they had won. It is indeed a thing of joy for the Cameroonians because they longed for it and have made attempt tries to the finals and lost it all to second place. This is a historic moment for them and I believe it is a call for female sports development in the country.
This event is also a lesson to learn from because it teaches the act of consistency and perseverance. The Cameroonian team were very consistent and they persevered all through to make sure they succeeded to the finals irrespective of the fact that they never had won the cup past years upon reaching finals. They never lost hope and never allowed the past experience their way. They put in maximum efforts to make sure that they won the cup with determination. At least it is a lesson to teach people out there who are very observant of the events that has played so far in the Cameroon female team history.

The Cameroon women's team has reached the final four times since the WAFCON competition began, and we previously noted that they were defeated by the Nigerian women's team in the first three final matches but I congratulate this team for winning their first trophy by defeating Malawi in the final of the 2026 African Cup of Nations League.

In fact the two women's teams that reached the finals in this tournament reached that round through great perseverance and hard work but in my opinion in that glorious match, the Cameroon team was fearless, as a result of which they were able to score three goals against the Malawi team with great aggression. On the other hand it seems that the Malawi team has also set a record as they are coming to this tournament for the first time, they even surprised everyone by qualifying for the finals on their debut tournament and played every match with great discretion in this tournament.

Just imagine they met Nigeria women in this final, that would have ment another loss for them again, considering they have 3 previous finals against the same opponent, lol. I'm just kidding, it's good seeing a new champion added to the list of existing champions in the winners history. If I'm not mistaken, isn't it this same Cameroon that knocked out Nigeria? I really can't remember because frankly I'm not following up on the competition, I didn't even know they have played the finals, I only came here and saw it.

The Cameroon women's team has reached the final four times since the WAFCON competition began, and we previously noted that they were defeated by the Nigerian women's team in the first three final matches but I congratulate this team for winning their first trophy by defeating Malawi in the final of the 2026 African Cup of Nations League.
If Nigeria and Cameroon had actually faced each other again in this final, we think it would have been even more interesting because Cameroon has faced Nigeria in the WAFCON final three times before but they have only lost there so if they faced each other for the fourth time, their morale would have been weakened according to previous statistics.

However I personally think that Cameroon had the opportunity to win the WAFCON tournament trophy against Nigeria women’s team in 2004 and 2016 but they were not able to win it but they were able to take revenge properly in this WAFCON competition as it was Cameroon that Nigeria team lost to in the quarter final round by a score of 1-0. So it is clear that Cameroon has improved their game with determination after the defeat but our Nigerian women's team, despite winning the tournament trophy the most times, is currently a weak team as they were not able to qualify directly for the upcoming Women's World Cup.

Cameroon tried in this WAFCON they put on a good fight . If not for Cameroon the Nigerian females would have won WAFCON 2026 . They would have show Malawi more pepper than the way Cameroon did , Malawi collected 3 goal from Cameroon which is a good gab , if at all the Nigerian female league are still trying compare to the male hopefully they will do better next time .

Perhaps you seem to also not comprehend well enough that the op is implying a whole different context which is what I addressed and not the psychological context where they could learn perseverance but however what exactly is the perseverance they are learning? Are the Lions not perseverant enough? Are they not playing or are they just reluctant on their game plays, some times when you think of things you should be rational enough to have the both side of the coins. Having to sound like the next person is dumb is quiet disgusting behavior because if you think all way round there is absolutely nothing to learn other than the same thing that has to be learnt in any footballing game hence I still maintain my stand that the men’s football is a whole different ball game to say that the men needs to learn from the women instead you could make another choice of word that describes it in a better way.
