This is a match that started very dull and since the opponent was no match for our country side, even though they defeated against us in their last meeting, our expectations were high on it and the odds as well. Out of 26 chances created, they could successfully play 22 shots but only 4 on target. In the same estimation and ratings, if they can't convert up to 10 chances and shots against Guinea-bissau, then there's no hope for a victory. What a shame!

Nigeria has taken the lead 2-1 on the 65th minutes by the supersub Mosses Usor in his debut. I believe that after this goal, Nigeria will win the game because they have been dominating the game and winning possession but currently, they are controlling the game.

If they can score in their first game, it means that they will be good strikers to take the Super Eagles far because that is what they lack, a quality finisher apart from Victor Osimhen. Prediction of the country scoring four goals, I think that speculator is actually new to this because if not they will know that it’s a ridiculous prediction for an African continental game. You can hardly see such a commanding e we in from any team in Africa if not of recent that we saw the likes of other countries trying to play differently. This is not the first time that the super eagles have been in this condition when playing in the AFCON qualification. The same thing also happened during the World Cup qualification. They will dominate the game but their goal conversion rate is very poor which is not suppose to be so. They have been playing a great game because they have the squad that can better represent them but they always fail to win which is not good for them. I hope they work on their goal conversion rates, because if they don’t do that, it would be very hard for them to finish well in this AFCON qualification competition.

We have all the reasons to win yesterday’s match with good margin but we still could not do such rather we only scored 2 goals to 1. At first Madagascar is not a very formidable team which is capable of giving us much headache so even if we decide to play on an away where we visit them in Madagascar, we are still supposed to beat them with some goal gaps but we barely escaped a draw yesterday as they ensured they play us back score a goal and was still working hard to equalise. Aside the fact that Osimhen is a professional finisher, he is also a hustler on the pitch and contributes to most ball recoveries and tackles as well. You could say that he does the work of both a midfielder and a striker, and that is a quality that would be difficult to replace in the Nigerian team. I think you expected too much from the Super Eagles and at the same time over-underestimated Madagascar. Fine, Super Eagles was better, but Madagascar was never too less of themselves, as they gave Super Eagles a tough play. They were not there to look, but to also prove they have something to show for coming, regardless of how weak you viewed them. But I blame the Super Eagles for the 16th minute goal against Nigeria, but they immediately stepped up the defense. That alone is commendable, not to mention the 2 goals in the first and second half combined.

I get your point correctly but he cannot be drop just like that, the only thing I have to say is that they should gradually get a replacement but ignoring him like that will be very dangerous for us despite he hasn't won anything, we should exercise patience because if he doesn't win today, it doesn't mean he will not win tomorrow and as we all know He is among the top now globally. Osimhen is a very great player which I still see a lot of positive things from him, but relying on him will definitely bring us down, because getting a replacement is very difficult when the player as automatic go down completely.

To be honest, our super eagle is not longer an elite team that we know in the past and it's high time we reduced our expectations from them. We should be thanking God they won because those guys are sometimes unpredictable. I had confidence on them to win but I knew they were never going to keep a cleanshit.

I think it's last two World Cup we've missed so far and that was the Qatar edition and the just concluded one at United States. We played at Russia in 2018 even though we couldn't make it pass the group stage.

We are Nigerians and of course we know the impact of Nigeria in African football so there's nothing wrong if we place high expectations on the Super Eagles. Just because Nigeria didn't make it in the last 3 world cup doesn't make them a weak team, besides there are other countries that are stronger than Nigeria but they are suffering the same fate too. Example is Italy, they've not also been able to qualify in the last 3 World cups. I still believe that Nigeria has a good team even though they are not better than the era of Kanu Nwankwo and J J Okocha but it's still disturbing to know that the then players are better than the current squad. It shows backwardness in the Nigerian football and it's not funny at all.

I know the super eagles are not a sophisticated team that can win high profile matches easily, but what do you want us to do? We have to support our national team. Not that they are playing the best football that interests me, but I have to be a patriotic citizen and be there for my national team. I can’t just stand the idea of supporting another country during the international football games, when my country is there. So when they play matches and they are winning it excites me. Scoring two goals against Madagascar is not a small feat, the most important thing is that they won the match. Madagascar is not an easy team to win, or you think because they are considered a small country in Africa, you think they don’t know how to play football? Very true, that game yesterday we were supposed to win at least more than 3 goals because of the complexity of the group, Tanzania have qualified already because they are one of the teams that are hosting the competition and the remaining teams have just one slot and they will need to seriously work on their conversion rate before the next game against guinea Bissau, we can't  struggle to win against Madagascar in our home and be expecting to play well when we get to their home to play the second leg.

Watching Nigeria match yesterday i became really worried with how poorly the Super Eagles have become, how can Nigeria be struggling that much against Madagascar, that means possibility of even qualifying for the next World Cup is still slim. There passes were so inaccurate, if not that Madagascar too is a weak team they would have won Nigeria because they had some good chances they squandered.

Am even wondering why the coaches don’t try home base players in some of the matches, Osimen and the rest are good players no doubt but because most of them have already made name they won’t give in their best in matches, to me at times the coach should try some home base players, such home base players would want to give their best so that big clubs will sign them.

Yes you are right wining is the most important because even if we are to be scoring a goal but so long as they are going to be wining it should be enough, meanwhile i don't think they use VAR on the match because the Madagascar goal was on offside to me and I believe everybody saw it because Sandro Tremoulet and Kari was right behind all the super eagles defenders so actually this was the kind of goal VAR usually rule out but unfortunately that's the mistake that usually happens without VAR but however the good thing about the match was how the super eagles still win after conceding from the beginning.

It is rare to see a player that is committed to the growth of the Super Eagles than Victor Osimhen, we all know that when Nigeria was unable to qualify for the World cup, Victor Osimhen was very bitter about that development, yesterday despite the fact that he was not scheduled to play that, the youngster still came all the way from Turkey to come and give moral support to his teammate, he is just concerned about the growth of the super Eagles and even on the field of play the energy he brings to the table is second to none, I've taken time to understudy his person.
