I'll be the first to admit I don't understand all there is to know about BTC mining/pools.   So, if a block was hit, there would still be overlap in your account that you would need to wait until the next block to collect?   I was just trying to get a conversation going because the hash rate has been pretty low and not sure that at these odds it was still probable to hit another one.

yep  this is the only pool with the overlap method.

so if we hit today.

the top guy would overlap  to say six coins I would overlap to 1 for each of my 2 accounts

so between us we would be leaving more then 8 coins on the table

so for me  if we hit today  and mined for 2 more blocks  or 1 more block  I could adjust.

this pool had a nice system but never got the support it deserves .

If we had a steady 5ph we would be a great pool.  it would be around a block every 6 or 7 days.

Well, it was a great system for the time but times have changed.  Maybe something that can be re-arranged that would be more fair the miners due to the current difficulty.

There was a few minutes of downtime as some pool maintenance was done. The pool is now running bitcoind 0.14.2 and an updated version of the pool software.

This is great news. The NMC withdrawal issue is still there, though.  Cry

The software updated was the ckpool pool software that the server runs for the stratum proxy. Next is the front end software which will fix the NMC withdrawal issue. Now that we're on the latest BTC and hopefully there won't be any major refactorings for a while I can finish the merge mining work.

(2) Withdrawing NMC comes up with a "connect: null" message box.
This should now be fixed. Please let me know if there are any other withdrawal issues.

We could use merged coins if possible.

I also think  the block is confirmed.

Maybe  we will see the coins soon.

Me too. Eagerly awaiting our first Namecoin block after a long while Wink
BTW, Bitminter made one of its rare appearances on the Namecoin blockchain recently, block # 350105 Wink Wink

Lastly  I wonder who hit the block  it is 1.7 btc payout bonus.
I hope it was me (translates as: I desperately want this 1.7 btc bonus Grin ). The strange thing is that this was the third time I found a block just hours (and this time just minutes) after I manually added a single large-scale order at nicehash. My mediocre maths understanding had assumed that there is no difference in luck between mining 8 hours at 1 Petahash/s and mining 1 hour at 8 Petahash/s. Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where i am missing a non-linear component in the equation?

He is going to have to end  the winner take all on tx fees.

Philipma1957  and cassini    mined  77,000,000   shares  the pool mined 77,800,000

They say they rent the hash from nice hash.

So the chance one of them wins the tx id price is hgher then 98% at this moment

How can they verify that  they hit the block if they rent from nice hash.

The pool op can say  anyone hit the block

Not saying the pool op is bad  just saying    1.7 coins =  4000 plus dollars  with no verification possible. That is very tempting.

I missed  the block oh well!

If anyone was to complain about not sharing  tx id fees it would be me.

the last  5 blocks  I mined about 20%  of all the shares and got 0% of the tx ids fees.

last 5 blocks the fees were

1.7
1.5
4.3
0.9
1.0
-----
9.5 total

So I lost about 1.90 coins in fees by mining here with winner take all policy Angry

MY choice.

and I am still mining here  with mostly rentals and some hard gear.

He is going to have to end  the winner take all on tx fees.
Transaction fees are large enough now that the system will probably have to change. At some point transaction fees will be the majority of the reward and then the existing system becomes more like solo mining and less like pooled mining.

The likely solution will be to have the transaction fee included with the mining subsidy when the score is calculated for the share submission. This unfortunately removes the 'bonus' aspect of being a block finder though. Perhaps some mix of the two.

Yeah   Maybe ⅓  to the block hitter and ⅔ to the rest based on shares.

In my  case    over the last 5 blocks  ⅔ of 1.90 =  1.33 btc.

It would still encourage  the bigger miners.  And let the small  miners to grab  some of that pie.

So  I will do what you want it is your pool.

I am still here mining away.

But  with no merged coins  and my bad luck on not hitting  one of the last five blocks.  I did hit the sixth one last July and got 0.055 btc Grin

I am having a bit of pain. About those 9.5 coins given to the last five block hitters.

The difference in the transaction fee reward is definitely noticeable from last year vs this year!
