@nicehash
How can I set a price for my S7s without causing them to not hash?

Let me explain:

I like to set Nice Hash as my primary pool with a price -ex: 0.0055. If my price is too high, I want the rig to fail over to my secondary pool -ex: Kano. I'm using Smit's modified Firmware for my S5s and have no issues. However, when I set Nicehash as my primary pool for my S7s with the same price, they don't fail over to my secondary pool. Instead I get no hashing at all.

set password - p=0.0055

Yes- since Smit modified the Firm Ware for the S5s, that's what works for my S5s. However, it doesn't work for my S7s.
With the S6s, they will fail over to the next pool if my price is too high.
With the S7s, they don't fail over to the second pool when I set a price that's too high. Instead, they just stop hashing .
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Looks good. You could probably get some extra hash if you overclock your GPU (with MSI Afterburner or similar app) - but beware that this might void your GPU warranty and may lead to overheating.

Hi, I managed to get NiceHash Miner running with v1.2.2.2 and my both R9 290 detected OK, but they never start mining.

Benchmark also just show 0.000 MH/s for all Algorithm, I hear it stop and start each algo but nothing.

If I start the mining I hear the fans on the cards starting higher speed but in sgminer Window all that comes up is.

----------------------------------------------------------
Started sgminer 5.1.0
* using Jansson 2.7
----------------------------------------------------------

Thats it, and it restart periodically.

After each restart I get a message "

-----------------------------------------------------------
[NICEHASH] Balance get
[NICEHASH] SMA get
[AMD_OpenGL] Shutting down miner
-----------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes but not always I also get a message,

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[AMD_OpenGL] System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Access is denied
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any idea why no mining take place and sgminer keep on restarting over and over.

NiceHash Miner looks great and would love to get it up and running.

Thank you and all the best.

What Windows are you running and what is the driver version? You should try to run the runme.bat in the sgminer folder to see if that works.

Thank you,

Sorry I running Windows 8.1 64-bit, AMD 15.12 driver (radeon-crimson-15.12-win8.1-64bit), I also tried the 15.7.1 driver (amd-catalyst-15.7.1-with-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit) but the same behaviour.

I run the runme.bat file in all three sgminer folders sgminer-5-1-0-optimized, sgminer-5-1-1-optimized and sgminer-5-2-0-optimized.

None of them start ok, sgminer terminates after a few sec and the sgminer window closes.

Yup, gtx is always oc'd @ 1443CORE and 1900MEM. Anything higher the card gets unstable.

Two things to try:

1. Make sure your antivirus is disabled, see section "My anti-virus is blocking the application" at https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#troubleshooting

2. Make sure to get a clean AMD driver state, see section "I am having issues with my AMD GPU drivers." at https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner#troubleshooting

Not going to well, uninstalled driver with Guru3D 15.7.2.2 and reinstalled the driver, starting with 15.7.1.

But now I could not evern start the NiceHashMiner.exe, I got it starting up before with 1.2.2.2 but now it is not even starting up.

Did same uninstall procedure and installed 15.12. but the same result.

I'm guessing your antivirus is messing things up as your log is stating this:

Thank you for helping.

I disabled the AVG antivirus, removed Nicehash miner folder and re-extracted from zipfile first 1.2.2.0 and the exe file 1.2.2.2

But still same result.

All this with antivirus program temporary disabled.

So what is happening now? Does the NiceHash Miner giving more errors (if so please post it here) or is it the benchmarking part?

I managed to get NiceHash miner exe to start agine by downloading 1.2.2.2 againe and extracting it.

But mining did not want to start.

In the log I could read not able to connect to pool, so I changed service location to USA from the one in Europe and now mining started.

I doing benchmarking now and will se how it goes.

So far X11 27,600 MH/s, X13 12,000 MH/s, keccak terminated, nist5 terminated, neoscrypt 0,659 MH/s, whirlpoolx 264,100 MH/s .

all the best.

Thanks, that did the trick for me, too. Wondered why I always got connection errors on Europe X11 port, but it works with USA port.
