It's true everyone! There is so much excitement right now that I got beat to the punch. So without further ado, yes it's true we have a wallet fix! 1. **Backup your wallet.dat file** 2. Go to: C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\whitecoin 3. Delete everything EXCEPT for the wallet.dat file 4. Run the new wallet https://mega.co.nz/#!vY1i1CSA!zvQQ67NjlJ3Jk93Cgu4f3MNiEQi3RKGBx0VLt-RRPMMMore to come very, very soon.

Are we mining those last 867 blocks? POW back on for a bit, then back to POS? Nice work guys! I love that you got more than one dev team involved when Team #1 was slacking and causing the coin to suffer. Sucks that it happened, but I'm glad it worked out for everyone! As a project lead, I commend that decision. Amazing job!

Good model for humanity coming together to make something work. Huge effort that, if pulled off, deserves a standing ovation.
Keep in mind this is a crypto. People need to come together like this to solve more of the world/life's problems.

now it is first "pure" POS.. Yeah I checked the links. MINT CAME UP WITH THE POS IDEA FIRST. BC could have fixed the flaws. DOESNT MATTER. YOUR CLAIM WAS WRONG. AND EVEN IF IT WASNT. IT DOESNT MATTER YOU ARE FILLING THIS THREAD WITH BULLSHIT WHINEY POSTS ABOUT A COIN THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS THREAD.
SO GO SUCK BLACK COIN DICK SOMEWHERE ELSE.
jesus christ you're dumb as shit you know that? A) you can't read B) you can't use any logical reasoning. C) if you're representative of the WC community, you're all doomed. Mint didn't come up with shit first, it was peercoin. BC was the originator of the pure PoS system. because low reward PoW blocks was a security risk. you know... that PROBLEM THAT WHITECOIN HAS BEEN DEALING WITH FOR THE LAST WEEK? LOLOLOL get your facts straight

Thx to anyone who bought before, now and in the future. You sure had doubts or got in high and sweated it out, but I am glad some of you did join this coin. We're a drama community, but it is very entertaining to watch. We will be good to you, until you dump us.
Yeah thanks for buying into this shit coin, with constant BS PR and incompetent leaders. Only thing holding it up is big bagholders who are trying to trick the market into going up since they have already lost tens of thousands of dollars and dont want to lose more. I'm all for transparency, so why not: I am (by your definition) a "bagholder" - but I could have sold at 2k. I did not sell at 1k (there were at least 2 possible exit-points) and I didn't fuck around with the price during 1k - 500. I did not know the dev would run away while I was buying, but I liked the community and I sure did know that this coin had some real problems ahead of it when I was buying again at 600 - 800. You may call me stupid, but I made that choice after lurking around for quite some time in the threads and the irc chat. It reminds me of the early doge days at reddit. I just somehow really like being part of this community. Maybe some very interesting stuff will happen with wc - maybe not. I'm not a big fan of sports, but I like _this_ team and want to participate in its ups and downs. I'm not tricking anyone into buying, so I can dump on them, but sure some - if not many - others may have that in mind while we're slowly reaching 2k, but I believe that these people will simply sell und go to the next coin. From time to time we'll get used to it, just as we got used to getting fudded or spammed or ddosd. +1

The debate on what has or should have happened soon will be about what should or shouldn't happen, and then the community will help decide. The actions taken the past days are out of securing as quickly as possible what needed to be done. I've talked to mongonzo before and he agrees, after this phase has settled, the community will be taking the front seat.

Nothing has been announced from their end as far as I know. Don't move any coins, don't risk. Better safe than sorry

IMPORTANT STATEMENT REGARDING THE WHITECOIN UPDATEI must stress we still need people on the protection ports until staking begins and proof of work ends, in approx 24 hours. Please find the list of pools here, I recommend using a P2P pool. Blockchain protection pools: http://whitecoin.info/news/wc-pools/We're doing great but this is a critical juncture now, so it's very important we have our hash pointed at the pow network for the next day.
